Standing meditation for 50 breaths, very active mind tonight even though I had a long day, I did nap. however even with an active mind, the breath count persisted from foreground to background to foreground even when I wasn't counting, I counted. took about 8 minutes.
Chi Gong bagan with a warm up, literally... if you massage your ears throughly, all the cartilage you will warm yourself. Then followed by 100 stretches and knee and arm focused exercises. About 11 minutes.
Tai chi form movements were slowed tonight taking about 14 minutes. I was rapped in two wool scarves as it is late, the wind was howling and the temperature was set inside to an evening 62 degrees, outside about 20 degrees. All so relaxing. edited 03:34, 18 Feb 2013
Noticed how the very possibility of interruption (children arguing in the next room) made it more difficult to properly start the meditation.

actually Wester it makes a tremendous difference to me as well if I feel there is a chance of being interrupted or not
