Perhaps to sneak up on Time, writing here early in the morning, while I am still in touch with my Time-noter, (sibling of my Dream-catcher). Seems the events of the day disconnect me from this so-important connection with Time though the dream-catcher still lingers. Happy for the end of the workweek, recalling as a kid the last day of school and the seemingly endless pillow of summer days ahead. The weekend as a smaller pillow, but welcomed with the verve of years ago.
Aph, love to think of dinner with you; we are not that far away from each other (about 150 miles)...shall we give it a thought?
Wishing a 'pillowy' weekend for all earnest 99ers!
did 30 minutes sitting on the floor, lots happens in 30min
the last thing that happened is at 25 min my candle (in a jar) started popping so i opened my eyes to check on it and found my self facing my bedside table with the candle in the middle in front of a lamp with a coal-oil lamp cover on it, some books to the right I am (reluctantly) reading to improve my self and life with my glasses stacked on top, and to the left my clock radio distracting me by ticking away randomly (every minute) and behind that my half-drunk cup of coffee.
I begin to understand why people make shrines.
but do I want to do this to find out about the onion that is me, or to define a me who I want to become?
having a focus seems the path to doing the latter
the ancient Greeks had the idea of the world being made of disparate elements held together by love and sundered by strife
maybe no-self is me in strife, and me as everything is me with love
"Mindfulness Can Improve Your Attention and Health."
"A focus on the present, dubbed mindfulness, can make you happier and healthier."
"Training to deepen your immersion in the moment works by improving attention."
So says the headline of an article in "Scientific American Mind" that has just arrived in our mail today.

These ideas are infiltrating everywhere. What is the world coming to?
;-D

I was on another plane in the 3 hours today I focused on drawing a lily. It too is a form of healing.
