With the working group still working in RL in Princeton, a few of us met in the guardian hall. I, Adams, was a bit late but volunteered to post the log.

Attending: Adams Rubble : Bertram Jacobus : Bleu Oleander : Calvino Rabeni : Eden Haiku : Fael Illyar : Qt Core : Yakuzza Lethecus : Zen Arado : stevenaia Michinaga

About halfway into the session we began to discuss meeting each other in the village and an art project as one way to do that.  We also kick around various ways to advertise our presence in the village.

    Eden Haiku: Hey Zen!
    Zen Arado: Hi Eden :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey all
    Zen Arado: Hi All
Eden Haiku: hello Steve, good morning!
stevenaia Michinaga: hello, I need to rezz a bit befre I sit down
Eden Haiku: I love the blue face with the black coat Bertram!
    Bertram Jacobus: hm - shall i wear it again ? ... ;-) - don´t know ... ;-)
You decline La Cave - from A group member named Tam Rae.
Eden Haiku: Oh.. and now you are totally Na"vi. Kaltxì!
Bertram Jacobus: "btw" : hy zen, hy bleu :-))
    Eden Haiku: Good morning Bleu.
    Bleu Oleander: hi everyone :)
    Bertram Jacobus: kaltxì eden ! ... :-)
    Zen Arado: Hi Bert, Bleu
    Eden Haiku: hello Fael!
    Fael Illyar: Hi Everyone :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Fael
Eden Haiku: Some lag I suppose...
Zen Arado: listening to a football match slows things down :)
Bertram Jacobus: for me - no lag here ...
    Eden Haiku: Ah, yes...;-)
Fael Illyar wonders what's up with the extra slow rez here today. Most pillows and floor are still missing.
Bertram Jacobus: nor outer nor inner one ... ;-)
    Fael Illyar: ah, finally :)
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: some say it´s because it is weekend
Bertram Jacobus: and i had it at other places too already today
Bertram Jacobus: but here, may be, my cache supports me (?)
Zen Arado: you've turned blue as well Eden :)
Bleu Oleander: i don't have any lag today
    Zen Arado: must be catching
stevenaia Michinaga: I must leave now but stopped in to say hello :)
Bleu Oleander: hi and bye Steve :)
Bertram Jacobus: bye steve - have a good time !
stevenaia Michinaga: catch you in the log
    Zen Arado: bye Steve
Eden Haiku: Just for now Zen...: Bertram had not seen my Na"vi outfit yet...
Bertram Jacobus: my impression too : the na'vi can be a strong influence ... ;-)
Eden Haiku: Bye Steve. That was short!
Bertram Jacobus: (but a very good one, which may help)
Bleu Oleander: is there a meeting today?
Bertram Jacobus: every sunday i guessed ? no ?
Zen Arado: ancient Britons used to dye skins blue
Eden Haiku: There was not email I think, but as we are here...
    Zen Arado: woad or something
Bertram Jacobus: what is woard please ?
Zen Arado: woad is a dye of some kind
    Bertram Jacobus: ah okay ty
Bertram Jacobus: and hello qt ;-)
Eden Haiku: I recognize QT sweater through the see-through doors...
    Bleu Oleander: hi Qt
    Qt Core: hi all
    Qt Core: ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: when i was allowed to open the door for ya i hope ... ;o)
    Zen Arado: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isatis_tinctoria
    Zen Arado: more useless information:)
Bertram Jacobus: hehe - ty zen :-D
Qt Core: oook, why i'm learning things about this plant ? ;-)
Eden Haiku: Nice Zen. Hindu gods were also depicted in blue.
Eden Haiku: Zen was saying that ancient Britons used to color their skin in blue..,
    Zen Arado: Eden started it...
    Eden Haiku: I apologize ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: there are also ones in buddhism, tantric at least what i know. meaning is often the unboundedness of the universe - if not even always ...
    Eden Haiku: Good morning Adams!
    Bleu Oleander: hi Adams
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey adams :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Adams
    Adams Rubble: Hello Everyone
    Zen Arado: undyed
    Qt Core: hi adams
Bertram Jacobus: hy adams - i seem to be a porter today ... :o)
    Zen Arado: natural look :)
Adams Rubble: I am a little late-watching a bald eagle flying over the house in RL
    Eden Haiku: Wow!
    Zen Arado: a good occupation
    Adams Rubble: :)
Bertram Jacobus: hello cal ... :-)
    Zen Arado: Hi Cal
    Bleu Oleander: hi Cal
    Adams Rubble: Hello Cal
    Eden Haiku: Hi
    Qt Core: hi Calvino
Adams Rubble: next seat is free Cal
    Zen Arado: grey dye ?
    Bertram Jacobus giggles ...
    Zen Arado: ah better now
Bertram Jacobus: still grey ... but less now ... ;-)
Zen Arado: I am still reading book of not knowing Cal - great book
Calvino Rabeni: hello all - zen hi
Bleu Oleander: what book is that?
Zen Arado: 'The Book of Not KNowing'
    Bleu Oleander: ty :)
    Zen Arado: Peter Ralston
Zen Arado: it's very dificult to not know thpugh
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I seem to do a good job of it sometimes :)
Zen Arado: not knowing 'self' is especially difficult
Calvino Rabeni: AH :) finally all rezzed and "present" :)
Bertram Jacobus: sometimes the difficult seems to enjoy, sometimes the more simple things
Zen Arado: it is only a conceptual construct but so difficult to detach from
    Zen Arado: I think
Bertram Jacobus: and when we simply let us fall into the flow ?
    Zen Arado: don't know
    Bertram Jacobus: hehe :o)
Fael Illyar: Ah, Hi Adams, Cal :)
Zen Arado: is there an 'us' ?
Bertram Jacobus: for me : yes
    Bertram Jacobus: definitly ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: or no - as you like
Eden Haiku: I feel there is a "us".
Zen Arado: as a term describing a collective group
    Zen Arado: only
    Eden Haiku: Sometimes.
Bertram Jacobus: i agree with eden : as a feeling. for me too
Eden Haiku: Siometimes we can feel «collective intelligence" at work don't we?
Zen Arado: a bunch of 'selfs'?
Eden Haiku: Like a porpose dance of selves rather.
    Eden Haiku: *porpoise
Eden Haiku: Like birds flying in formation.
Zen Arado: but only a concept
Eden Haiku: Tell us about the eagle you saw this morning Adams?
Bertram Jacobus: covers concept feelings ?
Calvino Rabeni: Sure eden, collective intelligence seems like as great a concept as individual :)
Adams Rubble: The eagle was simply circling around in the sky overhead
Adams Rubble: very exciting to see it over the backyard
Eden Haiku: They are very rare I think ?
Eden Haiku: And they never fly in groups, do they?
Adams Rubble: "us" can mean a small group like PaB or the entire luman race that ever lived or ever will live
    Eden Haiku: Yes.
Adams Rubble: Eagles generally hunt a one and have been making a come back
    Adams Rubble: alone
Bleu Oleander: saw one in Arizona a few weeks ago
Adams Rubble: that it is hunting the local riverIt may be
Adams Rubble: whoops that got garbled
Adams Rubble: it may be that it was hunting the local river
    Zen Arado: beautiful creatures
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Zen Arado: wingspan?
    Adams Rubble: big (giggles)
    Zen Arado: 72 - 90 inches
    Adams Rubble: wow
    Zen Arado: http://www.baldeagleinfo.com/eagle/eagle-facts.html
Qt Core: rl calls, have to go, see you
    Adams Rubble: bye QT
    Zen Arado: bye Qt
    Bertram Jacobus: bye qt
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye qt
Zen Arado: have added concepts to it now :)
Eden Haiku: Bye Qt have a nice evening
Adams Rubble: Is someone taking on the posting of the log?
Adams Rubble: If someone could send me the beginning I will post it
Bertram Jacobus: i can try to do that adams
Eden Haiku: Ok, I will send you the beginning Adams. Thanks.
    Adams Rubble: Thanks Eden
Bertram Jacobus: who now - you or i eden ? :-)
    Adams Rubble: or Bertram
    Adams Rubble: or oth :)
Eden Haiku: We will do it together then!
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Bleu Oleander: bfn :)
Eden Haiku: ;-) as I'm not too sure how to either...
Bertram Jacobus: no. i will meditate then in that time. ty ! ;-)
    Eden Haiku: Bye Bleu.
Bertram Jacobus: but may also be a plus for all beings. hope at least ;-)
    Adams Rubble: bye Bleau
    Bertram Jacobus: bye bleu

Eden Haiku: Ok done then. ;-)
Zen Arado: where are Eliza et al this week?
    Zen Arado: workshop or something?
Adams Rubble: I expecvt they are traveling
Zen Arado: they meet in RL?
Eden Haiku: Working group meeting in Princeton.
Adams Rubble: yes, the WG met in Proinceton
    Zen Arado: ah I see
Bertram Jacobus gave you New Note.
    Zen Arado: all week?
Adams Rubble: much of gthe week
Eden Haiku: From the 17th to the 20th.
    Adams Rubble: thanks Bertram
    Zen Arado: to discuss pab?
Bertram Jacobus: lol sry adams :o)
Adams Rubble: good you figured out how bertram :) thanks
Bertram Jacobus: and thank YOU !
    Adams Rubble: yes Zen
After Bleu left, Eden brings up Belu's suggestion for an art project and we discuss that and meeting in the village for the rest of the session.
Eden Haiku: I was hoping Bleu would bring her project at the meeting.
    Bertram Jacobus: bye yaku
    Bertram Jacobus: ok
    Bertram Jacobus: sits again
Eden Haiku: About a creating an art project as a group in the village.
Eden Haiku: Using our building skills...
    Zen Arado: could be interesting
Eden Haiku: Yes, I liked her idea very much.
Zen Arado: I thought of a little art gallery
Zen Arado: if you combined some plots....
    Bertram Jacobus: sry - i leave - have a good time - all beings please ... ty (!) ...
    Adams Rubble: bye Bertram
    Zen Arado: bye Bert
    Eden Haiku: Bye Bertram!
    Calvino Rabeni: be well, Bert
Eden Haiku: Oh you do not envision tinies then Zen!
    Zen Arado: tinies?
    Eden Haiku: Small tiny sclupties?
    Zen Arado: oh I see
    Eden Haiku: *sculpties
    Adams Rubble: :)
Zen Arado: could have mixture of sculpties, paintings, photographs?
    Eden Haiku: Yes...
    Zen Arado: iphone paintings ?
Eden Haiku: That would require a great level of cooperationthough and time and organizing,,,
    Zen Arado: I guess
Zen Arado: if there was a gallery building and each person was allocated space?
Eden Haiku: Do you know how to transfer iPod touch paintings to the Web Zen?
    Zen Arado: yes
    Zen Arado: no wait...
Zen Arado: was thinking of hipstamatic photos
Zen Arado: could find out for you though
Zen Arado: shouldn't be too difficult
Zen Arado: so easy to get photos from Iphone
Eden Haiku: A gallery would be different. I thought Bleu meant a project where we create one object in a collective.
Zen Arado: sure - just offering suggestions
Eden Haiku: But I wonder if we are ready for that. The level of cooperation it would take...
Adams Rubble: Any projet thaat brings some of together and helps us to get to know one another better is a good one
    Eden Haiku: Yes Adams...
Zen Arado: yes - like a team building exercise
Adams Rubble: The village is so often deserted
Eden Haiku: Yes. It would create some buzz
Adams Rubble: I have been guilty of not being around myself :)
Eden Haiku: Like a Zocalo in Mexican cities...place to hang out...
Fael Illyar is rarely around too.
Zen Arado: any time I go there there is no one around
Eden Haiku: Yes, it gets boring...
Zen Arado: seems we need a time to meet at :)
Eden Haiku: I bring friends otherwise it is so deserted...
Fael Illyar: it would need some people who're present half the day constantly to get it going I think :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: And some welcoming personality too...;-)
Zen Arado: you should invite me Eden :)
Zen Arado: or invite each other more
Calvino Rabeni: Does everyone have the avatar scanner HUD?
Eden Haiku: Yes, I will. We have to talk about this IPod paintings app Zen!
Calvino Rabeni: In addition, what is the best way to coordinate an informal meeting at the village?
    Zen Arado: sure :)
Eden Haiku: I do. It scans usually nobody...
Adams Rubble: we have the pub times for a start
Fael Illyar: I have a scanner
Adams Rubble: I have a scanner
    Eden Haiku: Pub times...yes.
    Zen Arado: radar on Emerald?
Zen Arado: I used to go but no one there usually
    Eden Haiku: same here
Calvino Rabeni: How about - is it possible to have a scanner inworld that will inform, when one is NOT in-world?
Zen Arado: forgotten the times now for pub
Adams Rubble: I have showed up at the 4pm one a few times and no one was there
Fael proposes and interesting script idea
Fael Illyar: well, you could make a simple script that scans every 5 minutes and emails you if there are people close by :P
Fael Illyar: but that'd get spammy, fast :)
Eden Haiku: We rather need some very attractive project to get us here.
Adams Rubble: good idea for your shop Fael :)
Fael Illyar: my shop? I already have a visitor tracker :)
Adams Rubble: Zen, they are on the 3 hours in between PaB sessions, 1 and 4
Zen Arado: yes ..having a project would motivate ppl to come
Adams Rubble: that can email us when we are not inworld. Fael
    Zen Arado: ok ty Adams
Eden Haiku: So what is it that could grow and transform every day taht we would like to see?
    Eden Haiku: And contribute to?
Yakuzza Lethecus: Not, that i need that, but realize that as an hud extension with a little green icon if somebody is there ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: Not, that i need that, but realize that as an hud extension with a little green icon if somebody is there ?
Adams Rubble: It does not have to get everyone into the village, just a few
Fael Illyar: Adams, I'm not sure what you mean :)
Eden Haiku: You are becoming talkative Yakuzza!
Zen Arado: perhaps we could learn sculpting together
Adams Rubble: to Fael: I thought that was what you described. I would buy one if you sold one
    Eden Haiku: Yes.
Fael Illyar: I tend to use the minimap for checking if there's anyone present close by.
Zen Arado: need sculpt studio software
Fael Illyar: or the big map if I want to see if there's anyone in some sim I'm not at
Eden Haiku: I always want to go to the Ivory Tower but never find time...
Fael Illyar: Adams, ah, now I get it :)
Zen Arado: I would like to do a modern art sculptie
Adams Rubble: we could send out an email to the group if we plan to be in the pub at one of the sscheduled time
Eden Haiku: Yes, modern. Me too.
    Adams Rubble: times
    Zen Arado: good idea Adams
Eden Haiku: That would be a start yes.
Fael Illyar: well, one way would be to ask on playasbeing group IM if someone would like to come :)
Eden Haiku: Group IM, we have that?
    Adams Rubble: :) fael
Eden Haiku: Oh, we do, Thanks Fael.
Zen Arado: how do yu do that Fael?
Adams Rubble: Do we all have it set up so IMs go to our emails when we are not online?
Fael Illyar: no, this one only gets online people
Fael Illyar: in the contacts window, there's groups tab. Double click on a groupname to open the IM
Adams Rubble: My IMs go to my email when I am not online
Calvino Rabeni: I GTG, but - it seems a good idea to continue to consider how to create the conditions for impromptu meetups
Eden Haiku: I dionot see IM window. Only notice...
Calvino Rabeni: Bye for now :)
Adams Rubble: It is one edit/preferences/communication
    Zen Arado: bye Cal
    Adams Rubble: bye Cal
Fael Illyar: most group IMs that are actually used generate so much text that it's not a good idea to email them.
Fael Illyar: and yes, group notices are for sending a message to all online or offline members.
Fael Illyar: and do go to email too :)
    Zen Arado: yes Eden :)
    Zen Arado: like this :)
Adams Rubble: Now you know how to be spammers, hehe
    Eden Haiku: Yes, very good.
Fael Illyar: you can also include a landmark in those notices
Fael Illyar: or any item you want
Fael Illyar: as long as you can copy&transfer it
Eden Haiku: We have permission to do that Fale. No spamming?;-)
Zen Arado: learning so muc today
Eden Haiku: Yes, thank you Fale, That would make things much easier.
Fael Illyar: If people don't like the notices being used, I'm sure it'll come up sooner or later :P
Fael Illyar: besides, anyone who doesn't want the group notices can disable them
Eden Haiku: What about finding a name for our tentative project?
Zen Arado: yes - we get so many anyway
Zen Arado: ha - that could take a while Eden :)
Eden Haiku: So we know what it is about when we receive a notice?
    Zen Arado: meep ?
Eden Haiku: What about The Eagle project?
    Fael Illyar meeps happily!
    Adams Rubble: :)
Zen Arado: sounds good Eden :)
Zen Arado: the Eagle has landed :)
Eden Haiku: In Native Indians culture, the Eagle is like the Being point of view
Zen Arado: one small step for man....
Zen Arado: one large step for pab
    Zen Arado: :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bfn
Zen Arado: I better go too
    Adams Rubble: bye Yak
Fael Illyar: have fun Zen :)
    Adams Rubble: bye Zen
    Zen Arado: bye all :)
    Eden summarizes
Eden Haiku: Inspired by Bleu's idea about working together as a group on some art project in the PaB village, we baptized it the Eagle project, to remember it was created the day Adams saw a real eagle in Real Life right before the meeting.
Eden Haiku: I was writing a notice. What do you think?
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Fael Illyar smiles.
    Fael Illyar: Yes, works :)
Eden Haiku: Casn you correct the wording maybe Adams, something seems off a bit.
Adams Rubble: It will work fine as a summary of the log, if that is what you mean Eden
Eden Haiku: Ok then. Shall I send it through the group notice?
Fael Illyar: works for me :)
Adams Rubble: If you wanted to discuss the project it might be better to use email which has been the form we use mostly for that
Adams Rubble: then people could respond if they wished
Fael Illyar: the group notice has the advantage that it shows on login too, in addition to email
Fael Illyar: plus everyone online sees it immediately
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, I see. Then later, we can use the notice to get together...I was excited by this new channel. And we might want to discuus the name with more people too...
Adams Rubble: so it is good for events
Adams Rubble: If you haven't been on for a few days, the IMs are just alot of noise
    Eden Haiku: True...
Adams Rubble: I sometimes come on and have ten messages
Adams Rubble: I just delete them all
Eden Haiku: I do the same...
Fael Illyar: yes, I tend to disable the notices from groups that I don't care about much
    Eden Haiku: From preferences also?
    Fael Illyar: group profile window
    Fael Illyar: first page
    Fael Illyar: there's a checkbox
Eden Haiku: And sometimes, I make mistakes, delete the info, loose the LM tahn I have to IM mmebrs of the groups to find out where the workshop or the reading is...
Adams Rubble: tht's useful to know Fael. I left all the Buddhist groups to stop the clutter :)
Fael Illyar: you can find all notices for past 2 weeks from the group window too
    Fael Illyar: notices tab
Eden Haiku: I have to unclutter my group memberships...
Adams Rubble: I am going to have to go
Fael Illyar: ok, have fun Adams :)
Eden Haiku: It was nice seeing you Adams.
Adams Rubble: nice chatting with you
    Adams Rubble: thanks
    Adams Rubble: bye for now
