    Eden Haiku: Hi Calvino.
Eden Haiku: I showed up just in case.
Calvino Rabeni: Hi, Eden! I suppose anything could happen now :)
Eden Haiku: Would you like to claim the log. I'm already posting this morning log...
Calvino Rabeni: Does this session belong to a guardian ?
Eden Haiku: Fox was supposed to but Eliza sent a mail saying Fox could not make it.
Calvino Rabeni: Ah, I missed that !
Eden Haiku: Ok I will claim the log then and post it.
Calvino Rabeni: If you like :))
Eden Haiku: Well, I was in fact trying to have you do it but it did not work, so ;-)
Calvino Rabeni: This is easily remedied
Calvino Rabeni: Eden, I was curious what you brought back with you from your travels?
Calvino Rabeni: Impressions, ideas, a spirit thing?
Eden Haiku: If you don't mind. I have to finish posting this morning log cause tomorrow I have a busy day with an early start so...
    --BELL--
    Calvino Rabeni: Of course :)
Eden Haiku: Thanks. I was thinking about your question...Hello Lucinda!
Calvino Rabeni: Good to see you Lucinda
Calvino Rabeni: Eden, I love stories of travel and good tidings :)
Eden Haiku: Years ago, I decided to choose one piece of art and only one, when visiting a museum and really look at it so I would not be overloaded.
    Lucinda Lavender: hello all
Eden Haiku: I was trying to select one impression or memory from my last trip in India as I was thinking about your question.
    Calvino Rabeni: How interesting Eden
Eden Haiku: There are many oups phone brb
    Eden Haiku: Wrong number...
Eden Haiku: Let me share one.
Eden Haiku: In the area of Pondicherry, the Navagraha temple.
Eden Haiku: An Hindu Indian friend of mine took me there.
Eden Haiku: It was at dusk, the fifth temple we were visiting that day,
Eden Haiku: The Navagraha are waht they call 'the nine planets'. Never heard of them before.
Eden Haiku: Suddenly, in this little village, at dusk, I find myself in front of this huge statue of Shani.
Eden Haiku: Black stone, dressed in a black sari with a black raven.
Eden Haiku: My friend explained he was Saturn.
    Eden Haiku: Time.
Eden Haiku: It was a very powerful moment, being in front of 'time' in this form.
Calvino Rabeni: Our normal cultural settings have nothing like this - it must seem a bounty
    Calvino Rabeni: And more
    Eden Haiku: Wondering about that...
Eden Haiku: Was looking at some man in the subway this afternoon. Even started an haiku about him. He was a kind od Saturn incarnation I see that now...
Calvino Rabeni: So am i - much of modernity seemed concerned with liberation from such things, but now we have an unbearable lightness
Calvino Rabeni: Or we have to look specially for them on the subway :)
Eden Haiku: Black shirt, tie and hat/ I think I have only the first line ;)
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: He had his earplugs (from MP3 or something, not sure it is the right word)
Eden Haiku: Was listening to some music and looked like a young mafioso...
Eden Haiku: I see you study color Lucinda. What would you say about black?
Lucinda Lavender: black, the color of the void, the mother, alpha and omega
Eden Haiku: The mother of all colors ah yes...
Lucinda Lavender: and the void out of which the great flaring forth happens
Calvino Rabeni: Yes not the absence ofcolor but the source
Eden Haiku: Rimbaud was saying the vowel 'a' was black...
Eden Haiku: So many "a" in sanskrit...
Calvino Rabeni: Do you study sound meanings in Sanskrit, Eden?
Eden Haiku: Shani (Saturn) dressed in black evokes Time as the Void or the Mother.
Eden Haiku: I used to do a lot of chanting saptahs of sanskrit mantras and I'm familiar with a few words. But I know the elation that comes from chanting these sounds for hours and hours.
Lucinda Lavender: pure unformed energy...with white it becomes the faucet through which forms flow to participate in the highest evolutionary processes.
    Eden Haiku: Hi Steve.
stevenaia Michinaga: hello Edan, CAl Lucinda
    stevenaia Michinaga: Eden, oops
    Lucinda Lavender: hello...
    Calvino Rabeni: :) stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: just checking to see if the log was tended to?
    Calvino Rabeni: Yes Ihave it
Eden Haiku: Oh, I see the ying/yang symbol as I read your description Lucinda. Wow!
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: ah!
Eden Haiku: The fact that they merge together....
Lucinda Lavender: In the colors I study black is resistance, white ecstasy.
stevenaia Michinaga: I only see the pillows you are sitting on, are there more tonight?
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, Saturn would certainly be resistance, yes. And white as ecstasy, yes, I can see that. Images of a corpse wrapped in white silks being carried in a busy street in Delhi.
Eden Haiku: Hindus see death as liberation.
Calvino Rabeni: Steve it looks normal - yesterday however the land was persistently gray
Lucinda Lavender: I found the pillow took a while to appear for me also.
Eden Haiku: It looked normal to me. Are you using the new viewer?
    Calvino Rabeni: I am
Lucinda Lavender: I am not sure what that means.
Calvino Rabeni: Lucinda, is there a connection between the dream study and the colors?
    stevenaia Michinaga: I am not
Eden Haiku: They have a new viewer for SL. But it does not seem very satisfying I read on SL blog...
Calvino Rabeni: Oh, I find it quite a lot nicer, I really like it better
Eden Haiku: Oh! nice to hear that Calvino.
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: it may not be ready for MACs yet
Eden Haiku: Ah Steve is refreshing his feet in the pool ;-)
Lucinda Lavender: there is a connection between the colors and principle.s
Calvino Rabeni: One reason I like it - is that it uses space on the screen better, so the laptop doesn't feel as small
Eden Haiku: I read in the logs you have been gardening Steve?
stevenaia Michinaga: I am more of the sous chef equivalent of a gardener
stevenaia Michinaga: I move heavy things
Eden Haiku: Oh, well it must be nice just the same, being in the sun and the fresh air.
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
    Eden Haiku: nice!
Eden Haiku: I guess I will go back to my log posting. Thank you agin for claiming this one Calvino! Bye everyone. Nice meeting you Lucinda!
Lucinda Lavender: yes nice meeting you too.
Calvino Rabeni: YW, bye Eden and thanks for the impressions
Calvino Rabeni: The design of this place has a zen-like simplicity
stevenaia Michinaga: Storm does good work
    Calvino Rabeni: Yes
stevenaia Michinaga: you will find a structure somewhat like this if you go to the SF retreate
Calvino Rabeni: I am considering it would be a creative idea to have a time when each guardian brought a symbolic object and left it here, for some period of time
Calvino Rabeni: Around the outside, or as a centerpiece
Calvino Rabeni: And then after a few days, it would be back to the style of emptiness
Calvino Rabeni: What's new at the dream pavilion, Lucinda?
Calvino Rabeni: Is your group going to co-create a new place?
Lucinda Lavender: I don't know what our group will do yet. The landowner is creating stonehenge and many other things. nearby to it.
Lucinda Lavender: I I was given some square footage to calculate what we need but I am not skilled in travelling around to figure out potential homes for the temple.
Lucinda Lavender: There is some time too.
Calvino Rabeni: So, looking in the crystal ball - 10 years from now - do you imagine having gotten used to having the "second" life seem well established and part of daily life?
Lucinda Lavender: I find it quite interesting...
    Lucinda Lavender: perhaps.
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: The web of relationships is slowly getting stronger and more resilient
Calvino Rabeni: When I went off to college there was hardly any contact with parents
    Lucinda Lavender: And now?
Calvino Rabeni: Nowadays the parents can stay in daily contact with the children no matter where they are
    stevenaia Michinaga: I must go
    Calvino Rabeni: Take care Stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: thanks CAl for picking up the log
    Calvino Rabeni: YW
Lucinda Lavender: Nice to meet you Stevenaia.
stevenaia Michinaga: god seeing you again'
    stevenaia Michinaga: *good
Calvino Rabeni: Hermes like image, no?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Calvino Rabeni: I wonder what it would be like to grow up in an "always connected" world
Lucinda Lavender: Last night we had sunday dinner with my daughter over the internet.
Calvino Rabeni: How does that work with the food?
Lucinda Lavender: We rarely do that tho. It is called helicopter parenting...
Calvino Rabeni: Funny term - I wonder where it came from
Lucinda Lavender: Oh, we 3 hours difference and she had already eaten..:)
Calvino Rabeni: Do you put her voice on a speaker?
Lucinda Lavender: The interception they provide?
Lucinda Lavender: We use Skype with audio and video.
Calvino Rabeni: On speaker so you can all hear.
Lucinda Lavender: She was able to show us what she is studying by sending files
    Calvino Rabeni: Sounds pretty nice
Lucinda Lavender: . Yes we all participate.
Lucinda Lavender: I showed her how to cook a broiled meal.
Lucinda Lavender: Have you had any interesting dreams?
Lucinda Lavender: I will have to go in a moment but I thought if you did you might share if you want soon.
Calvino Rabeni: In general, I'm willing to spend time in the morning making a bridge with the sleep state
Calvino Rabeni: I was talking to someone yesterday about the practice she does
Lucinda Lavender: My image this morning was of two 5 gallon buckets, white. One full one empty.
    Calvino Rabeni: Full of water?
    Lucinda Lavender: Don't think so.
Lucinda Lavender: Other stuff that I am not sure of.
    Calvino Rabeni: Not liquid
    Lucinda Lavender: not liquid.
Lucinda Lavender: INteresting. I will examine.
Calvino Rabeni: Do you find your media habits like watching movies, get into your dreams?
Lucinda Lavender: Not really. The movie is starting...it is called All or Nothing. Like the buckets?
    Calvino Rabeni: :))
Calvino Rabeni: I'm usually too lazy to watch TV or movies :)
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: I don't really watch that many..I have another question for another time. Have a good eve.
Calvino Rabeni: You too - I will go to dinner also.
    Lucinda Lavender: bye
Calvino Rabeni: Bye then and take care
