    Susi Alcott: good morning Vellora
    --BELL--
Pema Pera: Hi Vellora and Susi!
    Susi Alcott: Hi Pema
    Pema Pera: Hi Lucinda!
    Lucinda Lavender: hi
    Susi Alcott: hi Lucinda
    Lucinda Lavender: HI
Pema Pera: please feel free to sit on the "first row", Lucinda :-)
Pema Pera: I don't think we've met, as far as I remember
    Lucinda Lavender: thank you...
Lucinda Lavender: No I am a friend of Calvino...
Pema Pera: (but then again, my memory is not that good . . . )
Pema Pera: well, nice to meet you :-)
Lucinda Lavender: thank you... I have just been enjoying the art work..
Lucinda was referring to Bleu's new Art of Being project in the PaB Village Square nearby.
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Pema Pera: it was fun to have Calvino visit me for a couple week, earlier this month
Pema Pera: oh yes, the Art project is fabulous, such a nice idea!
Lucinda Lavender: Oh! that is great!
Lucinda Lavender: He is an old friend from when we were in high school...
    Susi Alcott: Hi Eliza
Pema Pera: wow, that *is* old :-)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Susi, Pema, Lavendar
    Pema Pera: hi Eliza!
    Lucinda Lavender: hi Eliza..
Pema Pera: Calvino visited me in Princeton, it was great to finally meet in person
    Lucinda Lavender: wonderful...
Pema Pera: are you enjoying SL so far?
Lucinda Lavender: well, I am learning slowly...
Lucinda Lavender: I find this an interesting experiment for me.
Pema Pera: it takes a while -- took me more than half a year to really get into it :)
Pema Pera: what aspect of it do you enjoy most?
Lucinda Lavender: I study dreaming and color with a group that meets here now.
Lucinda Lavender: What I like is the beauty...
    Pema Pera: yes!!
Pema Pera: SL is like a kind of lucid dream . . . . .
Lucinda Lavender: I find there is such creativity.
Pema Pera: how does your group approach dreaming?
Lucinda Lavender: There seems to be giving and receiving...
    Lucinda Lavender: hmmm
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: I am related to it because of experience with seeing ahead in dreams. The teacher devloped a whole set of teachings and to some degree it is astrological.
Lucinda Lavender: I am a preschool teacher and singer in 1L
Lucinda Lavender: The dreaming is a big source for me.
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Eliza Madrigal relates to that :)
Lucinda Lavender: I am curious to learn others relation to this place.
Eliza Madrigal: What complimentary interests you have... children and color and dreams... also noting that I met you in the art of being area :)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: All very connected.
Eliza Madrigal: I like that when dealing with children, especially at the preschool level, they just instantly tell you what their sensibilities are... give you sincere responses...
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Eliza continued the theme of colors and children.
Eliza Madrigal: like "What do you think of blue" and then these wild and wonderful things come out ... teaches so much... like a reminder of what's essential?
Lucinda Lavender: They are pretty free.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Lucinda Lavender: We become the facilitators so that they have enough space and encouragement to play and be...
Lucinda Lavender: Some seem very interested in controlling.
Eliza Madrigal: then they give us room to do the same... haha... yes, some
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Lucinda Lavender: Lately I have been noticing the social ones control in one way and the logical builders do it through there building.
Eliza Madrigal: what an interesting idea... so some may directly relate and some relate to evnironment as indirectly relating/managing?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Eliza Madrigal nods makes sense
Pema Pera: software and hardware, in some way . . . .
    Eliza Madrigal: hm
Lucinda Lavender: boundaries being the thing that is negotiated
Pema Pera: yes, social interactions is about walls and openings, like buildings :)
Lucinda Lavender: yes...you can be in my room...or not.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Lucinda Lavender: in motessori we ask them to build a garage first or a train tract complete...then they get the vehicle.
Pema Pera: doors and windows have such deep meanings, psychologically . . .
Pema Pera: how interesting, I didn't know that
Pema Pera: are you teaching in a Montessori school?
Lucinda Lavender: gives them some boundary first...
Lucinda Lavender: yes. it is relaxed tho.
    --BELL--
Pema Pera wondering what you ask them to build before giving them a star . . . . :)
Lucinda Lavender: there is more to it all as the years go by...
Lucinda Lavender: I am learning more at this school than ever before.
Lucinda Lavender: I think I do not see your words...
Pema Pera: may I ask a bit more about your dream group? Do you tell your dreams to each other from memory, or do you try to dream together in some way?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, apologies Lavendar... lost my thought half way through :))
Lucinda Lavender: ah...every one writes down the dreams then we gather for a sort of dreaming together in which the dreams are read...and responded to in a sequential way. then they are woven together.
Hence the title of this session.
Pema Pera: how interesting! How do you weave?
    Eliza Madrigal: dreaming together... hm
Lucinda Lavender: by seeing the connections in them
Lucinda Lavender: who has shown up what has happened
Lucinda Lavender: It is seen not so much in the personal but more in the universal
Eliza Madrigal: quite interesting. What have you noticed?
Lucinda Lavender: no one plans it but sometimes all the dreams have similarity
Lucinda Lavender: masculine/feminine energies, topics, actions.
Pema Pera: can you give an specific example?
    Pema Pera: I'm afraid Lucinda crashed . . . .
Eliza Madrigal: yes maybe she'll be back in a moment... hope so anyway
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Susi Alcott: wb Lucinda
Pema Pera: glad you could return, Lucinda!
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks
Eliza Madrigal: I meant to mention Maxine's dream workshop at kira cafe... Tuesdays 1PM SLT...
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: I have not been to a cafe
Eliza Madrigal: :) that's okay... don't want to distract. Am quite curious about the group you're involved in too...
    Pema Pera: http://www.kira.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=106&Itemid=136
Pema Pera: is the page for Maxine's Dream Workshop
Lucinda Lavender: We have met since 02
    Eliza Madrigal: quite a while
Pema Pera: oh, in Real Life?
Lucinda Lavender: How do I go back and read this conversation later so that I get what was just said...
    Lucinda Lavender: yes real life
Pema Pera: I will post the chat long on the web soon
Lucinda Lavender: where does one go?
    Eliza Madrigal: http://playasbeing.wik.is/
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: great!
Lucinda Lavender: in 01 I had a big dream and attended a 1L dream workshop with a woman named Connie Kaplan.
    Eliza Madrigal listens
Lucinda Lavender: OUt of the work shop a dream circle was formed that has continued ever since.
Pema Pera: do you all live in the same area, or do you travel to visit each other?
Lucinda Lavender: ours is in Seattle but since the web has an online dreamcircle called Turtledreamers one can attend that way.
Lucinda Lavender: One is looking at what the dreamer experienced in the void.
Pema Pera: do you find that it helps you to see the everyday world in a richer way as well?
    On love and trust.
    Lucinda Lavender: very much so.
Lucinda Lavender: It influences how I see what is potential.
Lucinda Lavender: It feels like love opens the gates.
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Lucinda Lavender: And trust...as one experiences the dream.
Pema Pera: trust in the void?
    Pema Pera: in openness?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes.
Lucinda Lavender: the physiological experience of relaxing and allowing the energies to expose themselves.
Eliza Madrigal: over such a long period of working together yes you must have developed much trust... dreams can be so intimate
Lucinda Lavender: When I became a mom I started to see ahead in the dreams.
Lucinda Lavender: Then I had the bid 9/11 dream and wondered if I should go work for the goverenment!
    Lucinda Lavender: Ha!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Pema Pera: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Do you all keep records of the collaborations and sharing?
    Lucinda Lavender: no...
Lucinda Lavender: We only keep dream journals
Eliza Madrigal: I ask because it seems some patterns don't really show up in a short scale but over time I'd imagine there are many layers
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah, I see
    --BELL--
Pema Pera quietly slipping away, RL calling -- thanks for the great conversation!
    Eliza Madrigal: Nite Pema :)
Lucinda Lavender: nice to meet you...
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_ Pema
I left at this point, so I won't comment further.
Eliza Madrigal: its a fascinating topic
Eliza Madrigal: I think also fascinating is that logging dreams one begins to notice synchronicities in daily life more... or at least that's been my experience
Eliza Madrigal: (also apologies to the bell-didn't realize)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: writing itself is a bit like that also ... or I suppose any creative work...
Eliza Madrigal: nice website, btw, for turtle dreamers : http://www.turtledreamers.com/home.html (for readers of the log)
Lucinda Lavender: Do you think that in being and seeing the synchonicities open one?
Eliza Madrigal: hmmm... good question. yes. I remember as a teen noticing things lining up and happening coincidentally in more and more interesting ways.... causing me to ask questions...
Eliza Madrigal: and also being surprised that there wasn't more 'direct' sense of relevance to what I felt I needed to do in life... ie , as you say, why have a 9-11 dream....
Eliza Madrigal: all very funny really :)
Eliza Madrigal: playful even, in some sense... asking questions that ask questions :)
Eliza Madrigal: Is that what you mean?
Lucinda Lavender: Once had a dream that was a statement. The universe advises but is not attached to the outcome.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: In some sense, I think what I was missing was the collaboration with others aspect.... I was very much inward...
    Lucinda Lavender: ah
Eliza Madrigal: so I do find it fascinating the explorations you've engaged in this long while
Lucinda Lavender: yes, most of the women are not that extoverted.
Lucinda Lavender: missing the R there sorry
Eliza Madrigal: well, I communicated through writing, and most are verbal.. one reason that SL has been a powerful medium for me personally... and well... PaB is quite unique in any setting :)
Lucinda Lavender: how long have you been writing?
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, from very very young... couldn't say exactly...
Eliza Madrigal: but it seems writing and dream work go together...
    Eliza Madrigal: ?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: The dreams can be quite consise.
Eliza Madrigal: I'd love to hear more some time... sincerely. We also have a guardian who is studying neuroscience with emphasis on dreaming.... (Fox, if you get a chance to meet her)... an emphasis on
Eliza Madrigal: sleep paralysis and those kinds of things...
Lucinda Lavender: thanks! I am happy meet new people and see where I can learn more.
Eliza Madrigal: so many of us resonate with this topic
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: Wonderful. It was a pleasure to get to talk with you more... hear about your group, etc.
Lucinda Lavender: I that is wonderful
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: :) Have to go... early appointment tomorrow
Eliza Madrigal: Sweet dreams all :)
    Lucinda Lavender: same for you
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Waves
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_ Eliza
Lucinda Lavender: I am interested to learn more about what see being means...
Lucinda Lavender: I mean seeing being
Lucinda Lavender: don't see these words of yours...
Susi Alcott: understood, but I have not taken part to such meetings in which there's been that topic...
Susi Alcott: so...I myself have not thought of that
    Lucinda Lavender: I see
Susi Alcott: I also have much lag in english and even I've got back my dictionary, it dont know many words which have been used here
Susi Alcott: so I am more outsider for that also
    Susi Alcott: because of that
Lucinda Lavender: Ah! ok...I will need to leave soon too. I have not really made my question yet...
Susi Alcott: ah please feel free to ask
Lucinda Lavender: I will but I think I have to read more about Kira to know how to say it.
Susi Alcott: have not taken part to Kira either but once been present in the meeting with my friend and listened to others
Susi Alcott: that was short conversation cuz the man who was suppposed to lead crashed soon for storm
Susi Alcott: meaning that if you want to ask something from me, you dont need to focus what words to use
Susi Alcott: I ask if I dont understand all words
Lucinda Lavender: I will have to ask later...I am headed out to an evening event soon. Nice to meet you and sweet dreams...
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Lucinda Lavender: Thank you...
