I was joined by Archmage Atlantis. Zon Quar joined us for a while as well, but the conversation was basically between me and Archmage. It started of with some misunderstandings.

Archmage Atlantis: Hi

Wester Kiranov: yes I did
Archmage Atlantis: May I ask what that means to you?
Wester Kiranov: of course you may ask. but it does not have any special meaning, it just means it's my turn to post the log
Archmage Atlantis: Ok
Archmage Atlantis: I do not believe that is a complete answer, but I have no right to ask
Wester Kiranov: I don't know what kind of answer you would find complete. I'm not hiding anything there
Wester Kiranov: what kind of meaning are you looking for?
Archmage Atlantis: In my mind
Archmage Atlantis: and only there
Archmage Atlantis: one does not commit without deeper meaing
Archmage Atlantis: Perhaps I am misguided in my mind
Archmage Atlantis: I am getting old
Wester Kiranov: Oh, of course I have reasons to come here, and to commit to this group. Do you mean that?
Archmage Atlantis: I thought that was what I asked, but yes, that is what I mean
Wester Kiranov: ok

But we did find something to actually talk about. Even then, I was not always very comfortable with the style, but the content was fine.

Wester Kiranov: So you want to know what PaB means to me? Why it's important to me?
Archmage Atlantis: That would be a good start......I often wonder why I continue to return
Wester Kiranov: It is hard to explain. There is openness here, a willingness to talk about anything including sensitive subjects, and a willingness to really listen.
Wester Kiranov: I'm not saying we always succeed, but we are all willing to try and to listen if people think it's not going right.
Wester Kiranov: And there is the base of the 9-second practice, which I think touches on a truth I don't have words for.
Archmage Atlantis: If I say to you, there is no "right", what would you say

Wester Kiranov: I do agree there is no absolute right, completely separated from wrong. However, some of these sessions go better than others, in some sessions we opening up more, going deeper, listening better.
Wester Kiranov: And in that sense correction is possible.
Archmage Atlantis: ok
Archmage Atlantis: I welcome that deep thought
Wester Kiranov: ty
Wester Kiranov: Another reason I come here is that I feel there's a real sense of community
Archmage Atlantis: Life's a difficult thing
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, somehow there is community in dfference'
Wester Kiranov: I also like having a place where I can be silent together with others
Archmage Atlantis: Pema and Storm have done much in philosophy, tho neither is a philosopher
Wester Kiranov: yes
Wester Kiranov: I think many 'real' philosophers get lost in all the words and details and forget what's behind it
Archmage Atlantis: That is an excellent point
Wester Kiranov: ty
Archmage Atlantis: Well, we have been her 1/2 hour.......it seem no others will come

Wester Kiranov: Sure. It's a good way to have some regularity about this group.
Archmage Atlantis: In spite of my bad typing, I think you know what I meant
Archmage Atlantis: My partner in SL is also a guardian
Wester Kiranov: How do you feel about that?

And of course, right after we had speculated no one else would turn up...

And we moved on to a discussion of gender.

Archmage Atlantis: Tho he prefers to be a he here
Archmage Atlantis: Umm ..... a her
Wester Kiranov: subtle difference ;-P
Archmage Atlantis: that is why I usually use "e"....sexes are all mixed up here
Wester Kiranov: Still most avs have a well-defined gender. Hardly any in-betweenies

Archmage Atlantis: Geez, I must find the inbetweens by bein me

Archmage Atlantis: When I read about intersexed people, I though damn, just being gay wasn't so bad
Wester Kiranov: The weird thing is that it happens pretty often that they can't decide the sex of a baby, I think about 1% or so, and still they pretend everyone is either a he or a she
Archmage Atlantis: I know
Archmage Atlantis: We are more complex than that
Archmage Atlantis: And life on this planet is more comples

Wester Kiranov: so is life in SL ;-)
Archmage Atlantis: And if we are to go forth to the galaxy, we'd damn sure better be more than we are today
Wester Kiranov: (shh)

(Second bell is here). Somehow, the silence period seemed to trigger something in Archmage.

Archmage Atlantis: Wester. there are times to follow the rules.......and times to spit on them.
Archmage Atlantis: The only requirement is that one accepts the consequences.
Wester Kiranov: I'm happy with this rule, I did not see any reason to break it just now
Wester Kiranov: and the consequences of a lack of silence and reflection are not always that easy to see
Archmage Atlantis: And I did......and I accept that consequence.... that you may dicount what I said
Archmage Atlantis: I also know you own the log......so you will decide if it is worth publishing

Wester Kiranov: Whether I discount any particular utterance does not have much to do with when you say it.
Wester Kiranov: And I don't 'own' the log, I just handle it, today.
Archmage Atlantis: In life, as in death, what is said, and what is done is a statement
Wester Kiranov: I think the silence periods are a good way to stay focused. Especially if you're getting emotional.
Archmage Atlantis: ok

Wester Kiranov: It was. I was hoping for something that could help me explain why PaB is structured like it is, but instead I learned more about you. Also good.

Archmage Atlantis: PaB is structured to give people who are being overwhelmed by life a place in a few seconds to reconnect with life...........I am always connected with life..........I am that.
