      Qt Core: hi Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, exactly how I feel too, Wol :))
Mickorod Renard: is that your dream catcher Eliza?
      Wol Euler: hello bleu
      Agatha Macbeth: Hi Bleu
      Bleu Oleander: hi everyone
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, no.... reading the logs it seems it is a talking stick that Calvino rezzed?
Qt Core: click on it it give out notecard
      Mickorod Renard: I see
Agatha Macbeth: This thingy next to me you mean?
      Qt Core: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like a peace=pipe
      Mickorod Renard: yes
      Qt Core: same function
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, I remember attending an event and we resorted to using a banana....
      Agatha Macbeth: ???
Eliza Madrigal: showing who had the floor, so to speak :)
      Agatha Macbeth: Oh
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Mickorod Renard: sounds interesting Eliza
      Agatha Macbeth: Banana relay?
      Wol Euler: :)
      Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
      Eliza Madrigal: yes exactly
Qt Core: it was a one banana issue discussion ?
      Qt Core: (sorry programmer humor)
Eliza Madrigal: one banana at a time anyway
      Qt Core: brb
Agatha Macbeth: Could have been tricky had someone dropped it
Eliza Madrigal: Wol, nice to see you.... things lightening a bit work wise?
      Liza Deischer: splashhhhh :-)
      Agatha Macbeth nods
Mickorod Renard: someone could have sat on it by accident
      Eliza Madrigal: heheh
      Wol Euler: yes, finally.
Wol Euler: it should be over by the end of this week
      Agatha Macbeth: Yay!
      Eliza Madrigal: Wonderful :)
      Mickorod Renard: wow
      Mickorod Renard: yipeee
Eliza Madrigal: Three cheers and a tiger
Wol Euler: but I've been hearing that for two weeks already
Agatha Macbeth: And now the end is near......
      Liza Deischer: oh, downer
      Agatha Macbeth: Adelene?
Wol Euler: no, it is definitely improving
      Liza Deischer: okay :-)
      Eliza Madrigal: :))
Liza Deischer: well, you were early today
Liza Deischer: that's a good sign
      --BELL--
      Wol Euler: yep :)
Mickorod Renard: I notice the way I slip from practice of what we learn here, either for one reason or another,,and it makes a diference
      Mickorod Renard: Hi Sophia SS
Agatha Macbeth: 'Twill be even better when the time gets back to normal
Eliza Madrigal: Do you notice Mick?
      Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sharon :)
      Mickorod Renard: very much
      Liza Deischer: hi sharon
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, he's over there
      Bleu Oleander: hi Sharon
      Eliza Madrigal: hahaha Oh Agatah
      Wol Euler: hello sharon
      Eliza Madrigal: Agatha, too
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Agatha Macbeth: Hi SSL
      Agatha Macbeth: I like 'Agatah'
      Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I asked that way because noticing itself, seems like mindfulness...
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Agatha Macbeth: Wow, arial Sharon
      Mickorod Renard: perhaps
SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi everyone :) wonky sl again ;p
      Agatha Macbeth: Tell me! :(
Eliza Madrigal: It does seem glitchy today... instead of butterflies I see circles
Mickorod Renard: some things are easier to do when the pressure is not on
      Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Liza Deischer: hi Zen
      Bleu Oleander: hi Zen
      Agatha Macbeth: Hello Zen
Mickorod Renard: but needed most when the pressure is on
      Zen Arado: Hi Eliza :)
      Wol Euler: hello zen
      Zen Arado: Hi all
      Mickorod Renard: Hi Zen
      Eliza Madrigal: Ah, true Mick!
Eliza Madrigal: How is the moving in coming along?
Mickorod Renard: well,,thankfully its over except unloading whats in some boxes
Mickorod Renard: I am truly grateful for a lovely home..at last
      Agatha Macbeth: :)
Eliza Madrigal nods. Congratulations... very happy for you
Mickorod Renard: a garden within a garden
      Wol Euler: yes, congrats.
      Mickorod Renard: thankyou
      SophiaSharon Larnia: very nice
      Bleu Oleander: how nice :)
      Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: May I ask for you to say more, Mick? about pressure/pauses/practice?
Mickorod Renard: takes me a bit longer to get to work,,but in reality its a pleasure of a drive/ride
      Wol Euler: :)
      Mickorod Renard: yes,,ok
Mickorod Renard: I am not really under any pressure
Mickorod Renard: but oddly I alow myself to be a tool for people who then rely on me
Mickorod Renard: and I feel obligated
      Eliza Madrigal: Ah, yes
      Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: Shouldn't be a tool Mick ;-)
      Zen Arado: don't we all:)
Mickorod Renard: but I dont mind
Wol Euler: you've mentioned this before, Mick
Mickorod Renard: so for me its not so hard to break the jam I may find myself in
Eliza Madrigal: someone once made a helpul distinction for me regarding helping others and time, etc... that sometimes one has to factor the hm, psychic pressure as well as the time itself...
Mickorod Renard: and its useful to use these situations to observe
Zen Arado: so long as tool is not = doormat
Eliza Madrigal: that some tasks take more umph than others... and it is perfectly fine to be clear. Those who know you know your loving intentions I'm sure :)
      Mickorod Renard: maybe
      Liza Deischer: umph ?
      Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes... hm... for instance it may take me 2 hrs to do a certain kind of shopping... but it may drain me for the whole day
Zen Arado: I'm right out of umph :)
Eliza Madrigal: whereas 2 hrs of another task, may energize
      Agatha Macbeth nods
      Eliza Madrigal: very personal
      Mickorod Renard: yes
      Zen Arado: ah yes
Mickorod Renard: its funny,,and sometimes its not any more effort,,just a frame of mind
Zen Arado: perhaps it's whether you enjoy the task though?
      Eliza Madrigal yes to both
Eliza Madrigal: lots of factors I guess...
Eliza Madrigal: and sometimes the 'way' we're doing it... guess that's frame of mind...
Zen Arado: or whether you have the capability ofr the task
Eliza Madrigal: or whether we can learn to sing our way through it, or keep our pauses going.... :)
Mickorod Renard: the falling into the rut of feeling the strain is , at least for me,,,something that creeps up on me unnoticed
      Eliza Madrigal: hmm...nods
Mickorod Renard: if I observe it first I deal with it ok
Mickorod Renard: if it sneaks up,,it may drag me down some before I recognise it
Eliza Madrigal: maybe observing it first gives you space to enter into whatever you're doing with patience and appreciation?
      --BELL--
      Mickorod Renard: Hi Ara
      Zen Arado: Hi Ara
      Bleu Oleander: hi Ara :)
      Wol Euler: hello ara
      Agatha Macbeth: Evening Ara :)
      Qt Core: hi Ara
      arabella Ella: Hiya everyone :)
      Liza Deischer: hi ara
      Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ara :)
Zen Arado: sometimes it's the thoughts 'I shouldn't have to do this' that wears us out more
      Eliza Madrigal nods nods
Mickorod Renard: thats true too Zen
Zen Arado: mental energy we don't notice so much
Agatha Macbeth: Only lack of it ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: I guess it falls under the 'know yourself' category
arabella Ella hates the word 'should' and tries to eliminate it from my vocabulary
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Wol Euler: agrees with ara
Mickorod Renard: I wonder why there is this need for energy in a mental way,,physical I can comprehend
Zen Arado: it shows resistancd to reality I guess
Mickorod Renard: but it is a real drain
      Zen Arado: what 'should' be
      Zen Arado: but isn't
Eliza Madrigal: well... because we're not just 'do'ers... our energy is life... creativity...
Liza Deischer: sorry, need to go
      Liza Deischer: cu
      Eliza Madrigal: Bye Liza :)
      Bleu Oleander: bye Liza
      Mickorod Renard: bye Liza..nice c in u
Wol Euler: bye liza, take care
      Zen Arado: bye Liza
      Qt Core: bye liza
      Agatha Macbeth: Cya Liza
      arabella Ella: nite Liza
Zen Arado: I just realized today that things usually go wrong
Mickorod Renard: can u explain more Eliza
      Mickorod Renard: re the energy?
Wol Euler: an interesting statement, zen!"
      Zen Arado: yes please Eliza
      Bleu Oleander: Murphy's Law?
      Agatha Macbeth: To be sure
arabella Ella: new take on Murphy's Law Zen?
Zen Arado: well very often anyway
      arabella Ella: snap ... Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: It isn't really a formed thought, but I'm thinking that when our hearts aren't connected to our work, it can be more draining....
Eliza Madrigal: so being creative beings....
      Eliza Madrigal: gives us energy
Wol Euler: I agree, that matches my experience too
arabella Ella: yes motivation and involvement ... willingly
      Eliza Madrigal nods
      SophiaSharon Larnia: surely mine too
      arabella Ella: challenge, interest
      Mickorod Renard: I see,,interesting Eliza
      Zen Arado: yes
Wol Euler: the attitude, emotional state, makes a greater difference than the task itself
      Eliza Madrigal: indeed
      Bleu Oleander: agree!
Zen Arado: it's resistance makes it hard?
Mickorod Renard: its food,,when you enjoy
Bleu Oleander: how you frame the task
Zen Arado: forgot about Murphy's law
Zen Arado: sounds like an Irishman too :)
      Mickorod Renard: Zens Law rocks
      Eliza Madrigal: :))))
arabella Ella: could it perhaps be the case that our relationship with work is like any other relationship ... sounds a bit sceptical but gets to a plateu after the honeymoon then downhill?
      Mickorod Renard: Hi Hokon
      SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Hokon
      arabella Ella: (generalising of course)
      Hokon Cazalet: hi =)
      arabella Ella: Hiya Hokon
      Wol Euler: hello hokon

Hokon Cazalet: i came in late, but yes yakuzza
arabella Ella: I attended one of Sunfire's sessions recently it was very interesting ... about 10 days ago ... on existentialism
Eliza Madrigal: I'm sure we can organize theme sessions along those lines here if people would like that, though
      Eliza Madrigal: (re phenom)
      Bleu Oleander: yes, Eliza
arabella Ella: I was wondering whether anyone here was at the recent RL meeting and whether there is any feedback which may be interesting?
      Mickorod Renard: I like phenem
Hokon Cazalet: cool im gonna bookmark this site, ty eliza
      Eliza Madrigal: Wonderful, Hokon :)
      Hokon Cazalet: =)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, Ara. I was there... I suppose there will be emails upcoming. Mostly we discussed the wg itself and various changes taking place every 6 months...
      arabella Ella: ah ty
Mickorod Renard: I think that keeping some sort of refresher is good,,as some of our past classes seem to become distant memories
Eliza Madrigal: it was quite a bit of outlining and also issues regarding retreats and well... would want to let others maybe respond first
      Eliza Madrigal nods @ Mick
      Agatha Macbeth nods
arabella Ella: is feedback planned Eliza?
arabella Ella: as we had feedback from the retreat too
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, not formally... but I'd guess the guardian session will be lively
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
arabella Ella: oh ... will have to miss it this Sunday :(
arabella Ella: but will definitely look up the log later
Eliza Madrigal: Mick, did you know that Maxine and Pema will have a TSK session on the 28th? Should be great.. may continue after that if goes well...
      Eliza Madrigal: Sure, Ara :)
      Bleu Oleander: that sounds great
      Wol Euler: ooooh
      Wol Euler: when?
Bleu Oleander: is it the 28?
Eliza Madrigal: And whatever you'd like to ask of course
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, the 28th at Maxine's 1PM session

Eliza Madrigal: The theme is "Be decisive, Know what is, See Clearly"... (hope I have that right) hehe
Mickorod Renard: what will that be about Eliza?
      Hokon Cazalet: =)
      Eliza Madrigal smiles
      Wol Euler: :)
      Mickorod Renard: sounds great
Eliza Madrigal: It is something Eos is inspired by...
      Mickorod Renard: yes
Eliza Madrigal: so I look forward to finding out, too :)
Mickorod Renard: anyone is welcome to remind me ,,anytime,,he he
      Eliza Madrigal: heheheh
arabella Ella: ah that would be around 4am my time but again will catch up through log
      Bleu Oleander: PaB service
Eliza Madrigal: like a wake up call?
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Bleu Oleander: session call
      Eliza Madrigal: :))
Mickorod Renard: that is one thing I am finding I need to adjust..as I become less freaked our about life I am becoming complacent
Wol Euler raises an eyebrow at the word "complacent"
Eliza Madrigal: I doubt that Mick, maybe you are relaxing and enjoying life... doing things in a less doing way :)
arabella Ella: ah Mick why not change 'complacent' to 'peaceful'?
      Wol Euler nods
Mickorod Renard: well,,I feel like I am walking through a dream in rl
      Eliza Madrigal: Nice, Ara
Agatha Macbeth: I feel like that all the time Mick
Eliza Madrigal sees nothing wrong with that
      Mickorod Renard: grin
arabella Ella: maybe you too are trying to remove 'should' from your vocabulary
Bleu Oleander: wants some of what he's taking hehe
Zen Arado: maybe it's good to see that Mick
      Eliza Madrigal: hahaa
Mickorod Renard: observe from a dreamer point
Zen Arado: you are waking up
      --BELL--
arabella Ella whispers ... shhhh symmetry (for Wol)
Wol Euler beams. I thought so!
      arabella Ella: :)
      Eliza Madrigal smiles
Qt Core: and i could even leave without disrupting it ;-)
      arabella Ella: notte Qt
Eliza Madrigal: Mick, maybe you should have a sally session with Lia ... sounds like you have thoughts about dreaming awake
      Eliza Madrigal: Bye Qt :)
Qt Core: 'notte Ara, bye all
      Eliza Madrigal: *should*
      Agatha Macbeth: Ciao QT
      Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
      Eliza Madrigal: (sorry about that)
      Bleu Oleander: bye Qt
      Zen Arado: bye Qt
      Mickorod Renard: byeeeeeee qt
      Hokon Cazalet: bye Qt =)
Eliza Madrigal: I *should* have said... "Maybe you'd like to"
arabella Ella: just a brief reflection of mine today
arabella Ella: we had a nationwide powercut today
      Agatha Macbeth: Oops
arabella Ella: and it felt terrible to be without power for a few hours
Eliza Madrigal: its a profound idea, Ara
      Wol Euler: wow
arabella Ella: and goes to show how totally dependent we are today on energy (power)
      Wol Euler: intention, or accident?
      Eliza Madrigal nods
      Agatha Macbeth nods @ Ara
arabella Ella: no one yet knows the cause
Hokon Cazalet: where did this happen?
arabella Ella: or at least it is not public
arabella Ella: on the little island of Malta Hokon
Mickorod Renard: yes, I find it a concern,,i like to be self dependant
      Hokon Cazalet: ok
Zen Arado: do you have an interconnector to mainland Ara?
arabella Ella: most places just closed down
arabella Ella: no we dont Zen we have two fuel powered power stations running on coal and oil
Zen Arado: or is all power generated in Malta itself?
Zen Arado: would be a small syatem then
arabella Ella: yes it is Zen
Wol Euler: I was reading some time abck about a tourist resort island off the coast of Africa that has been without electricity for over half a year
      arabella Ella: all locally generated
Mickorod Renard: I am lookin into ways to power my place now..solar stuff n all that
Wol Euler: they were supplied from land, and the undersea cable broke
Bleu Oleander: can't even imagine over half a year!
Eliza Madrigal: eek... what happened to the island economy, Wol?
arabella Ella: but the sad thing was i then decided to visit my parents who are elderly and they were at such a loss as evenings they enjoy watching TV to relax ... and they could not do so
Wol Euler: well, it tanked, of course :)
Wol Euler: making htem even less able to pay to have the cable repaired
Zen Arado: is Malta's population growing fast Ara?
Wol Euler: oddly enough, people seem (once the initial rage subsided) to be not very much less happy than before
Eliza Madrigal: THAT is interesting to note
arabella Ella: someone wrote than on the online newspaper Zen ... they said maybe the reason for the power cut was falling birth rates :)
      Eliza Madrigal: ?
Zen Arado: perhaos generation capacity not keeping up?
arabella Ella: not at this time of the year Zen ... that happens in mid winter or mid summer not in spring
arabella Ella: must have been some fault
Zen Arado: used to have power outages in N.Ireland but more secure now we are interconnected to Scotland
      arabella Ella: ah
arabella Ella: and the Scots have cheap gas right?
Eliza Madrigal: For a few years in a row we had either light hurricanes or strong tropical storms (in Miami) which would knock out power for days at a time
Mickorod Renard: all that porridge they eat
Zen Arado: it's running out Ara
      Zen Arado: :)
arabella Ella: we have amongst the most expensive electricity bills in the world ... and yet we get power cuts ... feels like time travel back to middle ages
Wol Euler: well, all fossil fuels are running out, if comes to that.
Eliza Madrigal: after the first day people seem to settle in and make parties... hanging out outside and talking, etc... running on missions for ice, etc... back to village life
Agatha Macbeth: Or the dark Ages
      arabella Ella giggles
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
arabella Ella: very dark Agatha it was scarey driving in pitch darkness in places where the clubs and bars are usually full of life
      Hokon Cazalet: o.O
Mickorod Renard: as u have so much sun,,I am supprised there isnt more use of it Ara
      Agatha Macbeth: Erk
Zen Arado: if it costs more money it doesn't get done
arabella Ella: yes we have lots of sun and wind ... but seems like politicians take for ever and a day to take sensible decisions
      Eliza Madrigal: that's their job
arabella Ella: altho now they are setting up solar panels on all government buildings
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
arabella Ella: so maybe ... slowly ...
      Bleu Oleander: same in arizona
Zen Arado: just keep on with fossil fuels until they run out then panic
      arabella Ella: yes
Mickorod Renard: what about Libya,,dont they send u cheap fuel?
arabella Ella: ah ... dont mention that Mick
arabella Ella: we have the problem with Shengen visas there at the moment
      arabella Ella: serious problem
      Mickorod Renard: oops
arabella Ella: but i think a way to overcome it has been found
Mickorod Renard: how far away is Libya?
arabella Ella: around 300 km more or less
Mickorod Renard: not a huge distance,,u cud pipe it direct, and /or electricity from solar farms in Libyan dessert
arabella Ella: yes i guess so
      --BELL--
arabella Ella: after all how much electricity could 400K people use ... not much really when you come to think of it
Mickorod Renard: I suppose everyone is waiting for things to become cheaper, like the technology
Agatha Macbeth: I never had Libyan dessert Mick, is it nice?
      Eliza Madrigal giggles
      Bleu Oleander: :)
      Mickorod Renard: a bit gritty
Wol Euler throws a cushion at Aggers.
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, always brush your teeth afterwards
arabella Ella: we have it regularly here Agatha ... it falls like manna from the sky ... through rain :)
      Agatha Macbeth: OW!
      Agatha Macbeth grins
arabella Ella: it is forced down our throaths to be honest
      arabella Ella: literally
      Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
arabella Ella: yea gritty stuff as Mick rightly said
Agatha Macbeth: What would Moses have said?
Wol Euler: "let my people go"?
      Eliza Madrigal: :)
      Mickorod Renard: a basket case
arabella Ella: 'I see red' perhaps
      Agatha Macbeth: 'Keep yer Aaron'?
      Eliza Madrigal: =P~
      Wol Euler: boom boom
Wol Euler: you've been waiting for weeks to use that one, haven't you?
      Agatha Macbeth: Uh huh
      Wol Euler grins.

Eliza Madrigal pictures Agatha with a book of lines near the computer
Agatha Macbeth: No, dey is in me 'ed Liz
Mickorod Renard: now then, I had better go home and feed the cats

      arabella Ella smiles
arabella Ella: it is contagious this symmetry thing
Agatha Macbeth: How is this symetrical?
      arabella Ella: it looks good
      Wol Euler: sure it is.
Agatha Macbeth: 4 one side 2 the other
Wol Euler: three empties to your left, three empties to my right
      arabella Ella: precisely
Agatha Macbeth: I was thinking of the full ones :)
      Wol Euler: ah :)
Agatha Macbeth: Are the cushions half full or half empty?
Wol Euler: is the playgoda half full or half empty?
      Wol Euler: snap
      Zen Arado: playgoda?

Agatha Macbeth: With a little help from a friend :)
