    Fox Monacular: Hello Storm, Calvino

    Storm Nordwind: Hello Fox

    Calvino Rabeni: :)

    Fox Monacular: :)

Storm Nordwind: I saw you were all alone, Fox, and decided to drop by - it seems I wasn't the only one! :)

    Fox Monacular: thanks! :)

Fox Monacular: it's the first time I made it to PaB since almost 2 months I think

    Storm Nordwind: Oh!

Storm Nordwind: How have you found the 9 second practice in that time?

Fox Monacular: Hardly practiced, I'm afraid to say... but did a little bit noetheless

Storm Nordwind: (And welcome back by the way!! :)

    Fox Monacular: very chaotic:)

    Storm Nordwind: I can imagine

Storm Nordwind: Are you settling in?

Fox Monacular: but 9 sec breaks do a lot of good in the middle of frantic attempts to work

    Fox Monacular: slowly

Fox Monacular: just got back to boston today

    Storm Nordwind nods sympathetically

Fox Monacular: I find 9 sec is a great ancor when there's no time for longer meditation sessions

    Storm Nordwind agrees

Fox Monacular: it will probably sound funny, but i 'crave' going to a retreat!

    Storm Nordwind grins

Fox Monacular: how are things here? I heard about art of being, will try to check it out as soon as I can

Storm Nordwind: If you have a few moments after this, perhaps we can wander over

Storm Nordwind: I think that's been the major thing in the last week or two

Storm Nordwind: Prior to that there was discussion post-Malta

Fox Monacular: yes, I was following emails a little

Storm Nordwind: Hmm... there must be some holes in my time line! So much unaccounted for!

    Fox Monacular: :)

Fox Monacular: I feel the same

Storm Nordwind: I was in Princeton for a week a couple of weeks ago. Next week I shall be in Crestone for two and a half weeks. Perhaps the UV radiation is getting to my memory cells!

    Fox Monacular: oh great!

    Fox Monacular: you're busy

    Fox Monacular: :)

Calvino Rabeni: I don't think she meant it that way :)

Calvino Rabeni: Your memory is just fine, Storm

Calvino Rabeni: Mine, on the other hand...

Fox Monacular: no no, I mean so cool that you're traveling so much:)

Fox Monacular: my memory is deteriorating since pregnancy-related shrinkage:)

Storm Nordwind: I do like to travel, there's no doubt about that. Remember our conversation about my plethora of so-called permanent addresses!

    Fox Monacular: yes:)

Storm Nordwind: I suspect everything to do with pregnancy causes you to focus in ways that you previously thought unimaginable

Fox Monacular: yes, other things are infocus... but then usual things become less and less salient... like thesis:)

    Storm Nordwind: Ah yes... hmmm

    Fox Monacular: hehe

Calvino Rabeni: If some of those ways could be transferred to another person, would they be useful? What would they be like?

Fox Monacular: hmmm... you mean motherly preoccupations? they could be useful, but also a little posessing

Storm Nordwind: Perhaps we already have that kind of distribution. So instead of transfer perhaps we just need collaboration?

    --BELL--

Fox Monacular: now we are starting to realize the real importance of the father figure at our home... dividing me and the chind

Calvino Rabeni: Distriibution, Storm? I was thinking maybe all those ways of knowing are latent in each of us, awaiting activation by circumstances and our relational world

Calvino Rabeni: Fox, what is the "real importance" you noticed?

Fox Monacular: so they would need an other to be awakened?

Fox Monacular: it's kind of subtle...

Storm Nordwind: You're probably right Cal. But meanwhile we get by by talking and sharing and offering what each can do.

Calvino Rabeni: Yes, that would be how it gets elicited

Fox Monacular: like usually whenever she makes a sound, I jump up, and now it's my husband... and i see that the 2 of them really don't need me all the time

Fox Monacular: and it does produce some strange feelings in the beginning

Fox Monacular: like the mother may take for granted her almost exclusive link with the child

Calvino Rabeni: relief and jealousy mixed?

    Fox Monacular: yes, exactly!

    Storm Nordwind recognizes that

Fox Monacular: he made that first symbolic separation by cutting the cord:)... and now more and more they're ceating their own playspace

Fox Monacular: their own rituals, language...

Fox Monacular: I'm afraid I can't stay for much longer tonight... we are exhausted after a long car trip, and should use all the hours remaining to sleep... :)

Fox Monacular: Thank you both for coming ! It's a pleasure to be in your company, as usual

    Storm Nordwind: That's understandable

    Storm Nordwind: Bye for now!

    Storm Nordwind will depart too

Fox Monacular: good night, Storm, Calvino

    Storm Nordwind waves

    Calvino Rabeni: bye:)
