    Bleu Oleander: hi Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: I love the way you dress.. very elegant
    Bleu Oleander: oh thank you!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: you too!
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you... I play around with clothes a lot in SL, not so much in RL :)
    Bleu Oleander: me too
    Eliza Madrigal: Isn't it funny
Bleu Oleander: it is, but keeps me out of the malls!
Eliza Madrigal: haha, yes true. A practical use :)
Bleu Oleander: so I claimed the log
    Eliza Madrigal: Great... no issues?
Eliza Madrigal: Did you enter your email address?
Bleu Oleander: so i'll see if i can follow all the instructions later
    Bleu Oleander: seems pretty easy
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: It should be. There are little things which can trip one up along the way...
Bleu Oleander: i'm sure i'll find them :)
Eliza Madrigal: the chat being posted in the right place, etc... but not factor
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
Bleu Oleander: how did your scribe meeting go?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I thought it was fun. We covered quite a bit of ground, and so we'll have another one soonish
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks for asking :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'll be sending an email to the group when it is posted, too
Eliza Madrigal: The general consensus was that more attention needs to be drawn to the scribes when posted and on the wiki...
Bleu Oleander: yes, i didn't really even know about that ..... are sat nights quiet
Eliza Madrigal: so that's a good thing to pay attention to. Also, that its nice to get together to discuss and compare notes
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, they really vary
Eliza Madrigal: So one night maybe one or two people, another 'many'
Bleu Oleander: hi Steve and Arch
    Eliza Madrigal: Hey Steve :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Arch
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi again Eliza

    Eliza Madrigal smiles :)

stevenaia Michinaga: yes, always good food and museums
Bleu Oleander: do you live near?
Eliza Madrigal would love to live so nearby as to take a 'day trip'
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: you should take an extra day (or 2) when yu are up here
Bleu Oleander: we're bringing our group to NYC in May

Archmage Atlantis: Thank you both for that memory...day trips into NYC
    TH Ordinary: hi everyone!
    Bleu Oleander: hi TH
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps if San Francisco works out, there can be a retreat in NYC
Bleu Oleander: that would be great!
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, it really would!
Bleu Oleander: are you going to SF?
    stevenaia Michinaga: not me
Eliza Madrigal heard that you met Fael when you met Pema also... when with your the group, Bleu... We were connecting the dots
Bleu Oleander: yes! I just put that together
Archmage Atlantis: Shopping in the AM. early dinner, theator......I still have all the playbills from back then
Eliza Madrigal: (where did that 'the' come from in my sentence?) hah
Eliza Madrigal: Nice, Arch :) There is no place like it
TH Ordinary: what is your favorite nyc spot?
stevenaia Michinaga: have you been here before TH?
Eliza Madrigal: Steve, this is the website to group referenced ... http://www.spiritofthesenses.org/calendar.htm
    TH Ordinary: yes
Eliza Madrigal: I was really impressed with the site
    Bleu Oleander: yes, TH has
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hello Sylectra
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sylectra!
    Bleu Oleander: hi Sylectra
    Sylectra Darwin: Hi!
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you
    TH Ordinary: hello!
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I;ve seen it on Blue's profile
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Sylectra Darwin: Good to see you guys :)
Bleu Oleander: there are some nice photos from our princeton trip on the site also
Bleu Oleander: we had a great time with Piet
Eliza Madrigal: I giggled when I got to the end of your pictures/events....
stevenaia Michinaga: We go to the MET, TH , always something new to see
    Eliza Madrigal: (sorry, brb)
TH Ordinary: yes, i too like the met museum
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, Princeton could be at stopover, if we went a certain way from SN Philly or the Poconos
Bleu Oleander: is the art dealers show this weekend?
stevenaia Michinaga: yes at the pier
TH Ordinary: the natural history museum is a favorite too
Bleu Oleander: that's always a fun show
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: Is the whale still hanging in the n.history museum?
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, I need to go. Glad to be able to stop by and sure all will be well posting the log and such, Bleu :) Nice to meet you, TH, and to see you, Sylectra :) Bfn
stevenaia Michinaga: Museum of Nat History , Yes Arch
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Eliza
Bleu Oleander: have a great evening
Eliza Madrigal: Hugs, Nite :) You too!
    Sylectra Darwin: Eliza, see you!
    stevenaia Michinaga: night ELiza
Sylectra Darwin: Great to see you :)
Sylectra Darwin: Wow, brief stopover, huh?
stevenaia Michinaga: Can I ask about your meeting tomarrow? Sylectra
    Sylectra Darwin: sure!
Sylectra Darwin: Anything in particular or would you like me to ramble on?
Archmage Atlantis: I did get a last trip to NYC.......a little bit harder to manage with a cane or walker
stevenaia Michinaga: how would you compare Quaker meetings to PaB
Sylectra Darwin: oh, they are very similar - surprisingly so!
Bleu Oleander: what meeting are you talking about?
Sylectra Darwin: I am a new visitor to Quaker meetings but I like their flow, because they are so much like PaB meetings.
Sylectra Darwin: Diversity is encouraged and there are periods of silence.
Sylectra Darwin: There is not one leader and anyone may speak out of the silence if they feel moved to do so.
Sylectra Darwin: I love the simplicity and the adherence to sitting in silence as a way to - what would you say? Enlightenment is too strong a word.
    stevenaia Michinaga: contemplate?
Sylectra Darwin: But there is insight from the silence, certainly. Yes, contemplate.
Sylectra Darwin: People occasionally speak and it's usually something really profound. They think about it a lot before deciding to speak up.
stevenaia Michinaga: like typing, more deliberate
    Sylectra Darwin: smiles
Archmage Atlantis: My frends, a gay couple, were active in the 1980s...it wa one of the first denominations to recognize gay marriage
Sylectra Darwin: Yes, in fact there is a committee for those issues and they are politically active.
Sylectra Darwin: They give me room to breathe and don't try to interpret things for me. So it really is nice.
stevenaia Michinaga: hmm, from simple thoughts to political action
Sylectra Darwin: maybe a little conflict there, do you think?
Archmage Atlantis: I find it ironic that Richard Nixon was a Quaker by birth and practice
    stevenaia Michinaga: indeed
Sylectra Darwin: I heard that! Wow, huh?
    Sylectra Darwin: LOL
Sylectra Darwin: I believe there is wisdom in all faiths and even in people without a specific faith.
Sylectra Darwin: Have visited many churches and got something out of each.
    Archmage Atlantis: I agree Sylectra
stevenaia Michinaga: learned much about many beliefs from this group
stevenaia Michinaga: they have much in common with each other, seems the older the religion, the deeper learning
Sylectra Darwin: let's see, we have met people from Jewish, Baptist, Buddhist, and probably many other faiths here. Also many agnostics and at least one atheist.
    Archmage Atlantis: yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: where, here?
    Sylectra Darwin: yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Archmage Atlantis: And shamanic
Sylectra Darwin: That's just from the conversations I remember
    Sylectra Darwin: oh yeah? Cool!
stevenaia Michinaga: one of the reason's it's nice to have Adam's little museum representing so many beliefs nearby
Sylectra Darwin: What I find interesting is the tradition of sitting in silence, or meditation, goes into many religiouns
    --BELL--

Bleu Oleander: how did you all observe the 90 seconds?
Archmage Atlantis: There is a place in ourselves that is only reached by stillness ( aka meditation) in my personal experience......sometimes it can be tapped by music, or art......but silence is allways available.
Sylectra Darwin: my 90 seconds was somewhat fried and tired. Focus difficult as I am sleepy.
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Bleu Oleander: I reflected on my memories of the whale still hanging in the n.history museum and realized how important some things are as touchstones from our past
Archmage Atlantis: Focus is an active thing......stillness is without effort.
Bleu Oleander: how our memories create who we are
Bleu Oleander: relection gives us an opportunity to see ourselves
stevenaia Michinaga: Arch the same is true with holding on and letting go
    Archmage Atlantis: Yes
Archmage Atlantis: And I am glad the whale still hangs there
    Bleu Oleander: me too!
Bleu Oleander: the big dinosaur is my fav
Archmage Atlantis: As in BenStiller "Night at the museum" *g*
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Sylectra Darwin: I think I'd better log and get ready for bed as I have to get up in the morning.
    Bleu Oleander: bye Sylectra!
    Archmage Atlantis: Bye Syl
Sylectra Darwin: So nice to see you guys!
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Sylectra
TH Ordinary: i enjoy the experience of central park and the brooklyn bridge too
stevenaia Michinaga: there are many peaceful places even in a city
Bleu Oleander: it will be interesting to hear about the SF trip when they get back
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I know the area and SF is one of my favorite cities
Archmage Atlantis: I enjoyed ( as I do not know if they exist anymore) Balducci's, Dean and Delucca, and Zabar's
stevenaia Michinaga: Zabars is always our last stop
    stevenaia Michinaga: bring food home
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, restaurants come and go
Bleu Oleander: I think Balducci's closed, but D&D and Zabar's are still there
    --BELL--

Archmage Atlantis: I remember taking the Path to the WTC and dining in the restaurants there.....going to the observation deck....eating at Top of the World
stevenaia Michinaga: I msut be off, see you soon
    Bleu Oleander: bye Steve
Bleu Oleander: yes, I went to the WTC many times
Archmage Atlantis: I don't know the symbol for a wry bittersweet smile. so the text will have to tod
    Archmage Atlantis: *do
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: do you live in the NYC area Arch?
Archmage Atlantis: Time to go....thanks for your company.....ah no Bleu, no longer, in Florida by the Everglades now
    Archmage Atlantis: Take care
Bleu Oleander: you too .... take care
    TH Ordinary: bye
    Bleu Oleander: bye
