The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.

I forgot to take photos.  The whole last part of this chat is the best, but loses something without the photos.
Hmmmm, movies would have really been better.  Kitty rolling over, monkey business and the cat rezing into a table.

Riddle Sideways: oooooo listener Master, your fountain hath butterflies

    Riddle Sideways: no
Bleu Oleander: do you think it helps to have the typing action on?
    Riddle Sideways: not sure
Bleu Oleander: I've learned to be more patient
Riddle Sideways: when I see Yaku waving fingers I can anticipate
Bleu Oleander: I wait a while realizing ppl may be typing

Riddle Sideways: the way butterflies flit
Riddle Sideways: eyes must jump as they flitter about

Riddle Sideways: am I speeling that right?
    Bleu Oleander: (spelling :) )
Did you ever stare at a word like "flit" and think it is not correct?
    Riddle Sideways: to flit
    Riddle Sideways: prechance to land
Riddle Sideways: and in the flitting to come upon the teatures
Riddle Sideways: each stroke of wings takes you somewhere
    Bleu Oleander: brb
Riddle Sideways: most flying seems to be 'souring'
    Riddle Sideways: or swooping
Riddle Sideways: here we have purposeful flitting
Riddle Sideways: a mind allowed to flit
    Bleu Oleander: (back)

Finally a subject we can ...
Liza Deischer: Today I was the weird scientist of an abandoned lab :-)
    Riddle Sideways: oh fun
    Bleu Oleander: an adventure!
Liza Deischer: it is, I made the lab and wanted to take some photo's
    Bleu Oleander: in sl?
    Liza Deischer: yes
Bleu Oleander: where is your lab?
    Liza Deischer: ama gi
Liza Deischer: there will be an opening soon
Liza Deischer: I can let you know if you want too
    Bleu Oleander: great, invite me
    Riddle Sideways: yes, please invite
Liza Deischer: the lab is part of a greater .....eh.....thin
    Liza Deischer: I will
    Liza Deischer: thanks Riddle :-)
Riddle Sideways: I watched the new sherlock holmes movie
Bleu Oleander: what happens in your lab?
Riddle Sideways: several visits to labs
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Riddle Sideways: looking at remains / dirty dishes
Riddle Sideways: to try to realize what experiment was done
Liza Deischer: yes, that's the funpart
Riddle Sideways: an abandoned lab would be great
Riddle Sideways: hmmmmm, 100ml of something missing?
Liza Deischer: yes, an abandoned medical lab to be precise
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Liza Deischer: and i twas a lot of fun to make it
    Riddle Sideways: very nice typo
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Riddle Sideways: does it have 2 wooden chairs with metal dishes above where heads would be?
    Riddle Sideways: for mind transfers
    Liza Deischer: no
    Liza Deischer: could have been
    Yakuzza Lethecus: brain´s in vat´s ?
    Liza Deischer: no
Liza Deischer: I say no to everything :-)
Liza Deischer: you just need to wait
    Liza Deischer: heheheh
    Riddle Sideways: 17 more questions
Riddle Sideways: lab animals in cages ?
Riddle Sideways: when I read the chat logs of PaB
Riddle Sideways: it is like reviewing other peoples experiments
    Liza Deischer: one little hint

    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Bleu Oleander loves hints!
    Liza Deischer: :-)
    Bleu Oleander: nice photo
Riddle Sideways: oooo the great neon green poison
    Liza Deischer: :-)
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: reminds of the game Myst
Liza Deischer: yes, but that one is much better, I can tell you
    Liza Deischer: loved Myst
Riddle Sideways: yes, I should have finished the second
Riddle Sideways: was there a third?
Liza Deischer: I did the fourth
Liza Deischer: and there is a fifth
Yakuzza Lethecus: i just did the first
Liza Deischer: I believe it was the fourth
Bleu Oleander: i've never done any of them
    Bleu Oleander: should i?
Riddle Sideways: oh dear, I must take several months off and play them
Liza Deischer: but I got stuck and refused to look in the handout
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s very old, at least 13 years ?
Liza Deischer: the first one yes
Bleu Oleander: somehow i missed it
    Riddle Sideways: so beautiful though
Liza Deischer: has been released twice, it seems
    Riddle Sideways: a bit disturbing
Liza Deischer: the second time you can look around
    Bleu Oleander: how so?
Riddle Sideways: ok, a lot disturbing
Liza Deischer: the firts are only pictures
Liza Deischer: but if you like adventures bleu, then you can't miss Myst
    Riddle Sideways: and great puzzles
    Bleu Oleander: i'll try it
Liza Deischer: I hope it is still available
Riddle Sideways: the back story of the warped brothers is creepy
Bleu Oleander: how do you play it?
    Bleu Oleander: online?
Riddle Sideways: It should still run on new machines and would load faster
    Riddle Sideways: no offline
    Riddle Sideways: from CDrom
Liza Deischer: well, this game is older then the online games
Liza Deischer: but it is a lot of fun
Liza Deischer: adventure games are hardly made anymore
    Liza Deischer: there not fast
Bleu Oleander: i see they have Myst for iPhone
Liza Deischer: you need to solve puzzles
    Liza Deischer: okay!
Riddle Sideways: oooo maybe Myst on Android
Riddle Sideways: that would be so surreal
Liza Deischer: on iPhone is nice
Riddle Sideways: The sound F/X in a dark room at night were especially good
Riddle Sideways: would be hard to get that during daylight on an airplane and iPhone
    Riddle Sideways: Morning Widget
    Widget Whiteberry: good morning
    Liza Deischer: hi Widget
    Bleu Oleander: hi Widget
Widget Whiteberry: please continue, I'll catch up
    Riddle Sideways: we were flitting
    Riddle Sideways: in the Myst
    Widget Whiteberry: ☆smiles☆
Riddle Sideways: would it be hard to be a butterfly av?
Widget Whiteberry: I've not seen one but no harder than any other
    Liza Deischer: sorry?
Riddle Sideways: would you think bad thoughts (or none) of me if I were a butterfly
Liza Deischer: where does that thought come from, I wonder
Riddle Sideways: it flitted into me
Widget Whiteberry: bad thoughts of what sort, Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: would it be hard to relate with a butterfly Av here
Widget Whiteberry: hmmm, not in SL, not particularly
Bleu Oleander: can you be a butterfly AV?
Bleu Oleander: that would be cool
Riddle Sideways: can be a teddy bear or a lion
Widget Whiteberry: the appearance of our avs is only one aspect of our presentation
Liza Deischer: I have no idea
    Widget Whiteberry: of our presence
Bleu Oleander: has anyone designed a butterfly av?
Bleu Oleander: Riddle you should do that!
Widget Whiteberry: I think so, yes
Riddle Sideways: would you relate differently to a different presentation
    Widget Whiteberry: well yes
Widget Whiteberry: but I include rather a lot under 'presentation'
Bleu Oleander: yes, I think so, but don't know for sure til i see you
Widget Whiteberry: I include what you say and do
Liza Deischer: XLsreet tells me there are avatar butterflys
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: TY, will look it up
Riddle Sideways: there was a huge dragon here once
    Liza Deischer: thanks :-)
Riddle Sideways: was hard to relate to the woman
Riddle Sideways: there were often lions and bears
Riddle Sideways: a lion sitting across your lap will temper your conversional style :)
Liza Deischer: what do you mean Riddle?
Widget Whiteberry: Riddle, what did you notice about it being hard to relate to the woman?
    Riddle Sideways: Thanks widget,
Riddle Sideways: I can't do that this fast
Widget Whiteberry: If I show you a different projection of Widget ....
    Bleu Oleander: cool!
Widget Whiteberry: one who saves outfits (that's the trick)
Widget Whiteberry: am I a different being?
Riddle Sideways: is tempered with having met you before
Widget Whiteberry: yes, you have a string of moments to attach to this appearance
Riddle Sideways: never having met an av that takes up over half this pavilon
Widget Whiteberry: Does this Leafy Sea Dragon appearance add ot your understanding of me?
    Riddle Sideways: actually it does
    Widget Whiteberry: ☆smiles☆
Widget Whiteberry: what does it add?
    Bleu Oleander: :-D
Riddle Sideways: like all the questions we ask of all the other av presentations here
Riddle Sideways: why would ____ pick that presentation for this situation
Widget Whiteberry pouts, disappointed not to have the feedback
Riddle Sideways: what is _____ trying to say about herself
Widget Whiteberry: ah, we could also ask ourselves what we project onto this new appearance of another
    Bleu Oleander: good question Widget
Riddle Sideways: not the same experiment because we are set up to relate to widget
    Widget Whiteberry: hmmm
Liza Deischer: maybe, but then the avatar wants to evoke something?
Widget Whiteberry: I think our avatars evoke plenty, in both ourselves and others
Bleu Oleander: feels diff with the cat
    Bleu Oleander: somehow softer
    Bleu Oleander: very cute!
Yakuzza Lethecus: she will catch the butterflies
    Liza Deischer: I don't know: softer ? :-)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: aware
Riddle Sideways: maybe have always wanted to pet a seahorse, but kitty is more cuddily
Liza Deischer: but it feels different yes
Bleu Oleander: cats seem gentler to me
    Widget Whiteberry: hospitality widget
Bleu Oleander: even though potential conflict with butterflys !
    Widget Whiteberry: donut, anyone?
Riddle Sideways: incredibly neat watching the rez
Bleu Oleander: don't relate to this at all
    Liza Deischer: it's not living
Bleu Oleander: but does make me long for a chocolate covered donut!
Widget Whiteberry: to tea tray widget?
Bleu Oleander: and a cafe latte
Liza Deischer: maybe even on sl we make that difference
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Liza Deischer: you're making us hungry Widget :-)
    Widget Whiteberry: lol
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
    Widget Whiteberry: I'm curious though
Riddle Sideways: to discuss butterflies with serving tray widget is just different
    Liza Deischer: hahah
    Liza Deischer: it is
Bleu Oleander: you're just going bananas Widget
    Widget Whiteberry: and monkey widget?
Liza Deischer: how many av's do you have Widget?
Riddle Sideways: it should not be so in SL, but it is
Widget Whiteberry: I have my primary which you generally see
    Bleu Oleander: quite a show!
Widget Whiteberry: and I have a collection that serve various purposes
Bleu Oleander: have you made these?
    Widget Whiteberry: no no
    --BELL--
Liza Deischer: they are really neat
Riddle Sideways: with an ounce of talent and lots of time we could make them
Widget Whiteberry: there are many creative folks in SL ... I've needed to find their work ... as part of doing mine
    Widget Whiteberry: blah!
Bleu Oleander: curious, what purpose does the donut tray serve?
Widget Whiteberry: a kind of anonymity
Riddle Sideways: was afraid you would ask
Widget Whiteberry: and leaving bodies behind
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Widget Whiteberry: but also, for the fun of it
Bleu Oleander: do you feel emotions?
    Widget Whiteberry: me? of course
Bleu Oleander: does it detach you from your av?
Widget Whiteberry: regardless of my presentation here, I am an integrated being
Bleu Oleander: as a tray i mean
Liza Deischer: You realize Bleu you are talking to a monkey
Riddle Sideways: probably not as much as we detact from widget
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Bleu Oleander: monkeys are easier to talk to than a tray
Widget Whiteberry: I find the tea tray widget to be a funny thing
Bleu Oleander: i talk to my dogs all the time
Widget Whiteberry: yes, I have a monkey friend who I find very easy to talk with
Liza Deischer: and it feels playful, light
Bleu Oleander: don't think i have ever talked to a tray
    Liza Deischer: :-)
Widget Whiteberry: yes, but is also frequently deep
Liza Deischer: I was refering to the monkey by the way
Widget Whiteberry: hmm, I don't think I've ever been talked with as a tea tray, not in a substantive way
Liza Deischer: less luggage, it see,s
Bleu Oleander: whew, thought you meant the tray Liza
Widget Whiteberry: well, the hour is past and I've notices to send
Bleu Oleander: so the tray probably puts a barrier between you and other av's
    Widget Whiteberry: hmm, yes
Widget Whiteberry: as you said before, it's not something we think to relate to
Bleu Oleander: fun thoughts to reflect on today .... thanks Widget!
Riddle Sideways: pitty we put those barriers
    Widget Whiteberry: monkey = clever = pet-able = amusing
Widget Whiteberry: maybe not a barrier, Riddle
Riddle Sideways: yes, loaded word we don't like to say
Bleu Oleander: tray = impersonal = not living = no personality
Widget Whiteberry: we relate differently to wrenches, stoves and bricks as Bleu points out
Widget Whiteberry: at best they are things we use
    Liza Deischer: yes
Widget Whiteberry: the pity is when we relate to living things as if they were tea trays or wrenches
Riddle Sideways: seahorse is sort of between those two sides
Widget Whiteberry: sea dragon is a living thing, but an unexpected one
Bleu Oleander: seahorse is deff on the side of life .... wrenches not so much !
Riddle Sideways: oh yes widget, I have a co-worker like that
Riddle Sideways: and a boss that treats us like a set of tools
Widget Whiteberry: a co-worker who relates to people as if they were tools for his use?
    Widget Whiteberry: that's unfortunate, Riddle
Riddle Sideways: not a very nice management style
Bleu Oleander: must go, thanks everyone! see you all later :)
    Widget Whiteberry: very dysfunctional
    Widget Whiteberry: by Blue
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye everyone
Liza Deischer: somehow we even seem to think that is normal in working relationships
Widget Whiteberry: I need to go shortly too
    Bleu Oleander: bye
    Liza Deischer: buy Bleu
    Riddle Sideways: thanks blea
    Riddle Sideways: thanks all
Riddle Sideways: is discussions like this that I come for
    Liza Deischer: bye evryone
    Liza Deischer: :-)
