"If I were to remember my Creator in all my "offline" mental moments, I could turn stalling and procrastination into a spiritual practice." Lee Weissman https://twitter.com/#!/JihadiJew/status/145153838188470272

Quiet sit, right after getting up, half an hour as usual. I had to smile about Eliza's curiosity about Wester's comment. What completely different things did we talk about in RL? Let's see . . . anticipation without representation; symmetry, stability and entropy; artificial intelligence; new liberal art colleges; new approaches to dieting; and, oh, we also wined and dined!

Meditated for a few minutes in the morning, then was disturbed. Couldn't meditate again until the evening. As that was after T'ai Chi class, I decided I had done enough body-centered meditation for today and decided to do sitting meditation for a change.

Or as I put it to myself once, Wol, while waiting to practice I might as well be practicing. And these pages serve as a kind of attractor, where I can linger a bit, "sit", which once started tends to extend.

:)) Pema, thank you for that report... sounds just lovely!

Really struck today, by the appearance of virtual worlds in the lives of those of us here, and the strangeness of being able to, in the course of just a few hours, to ice skate, share dreams and visions, and most importantly sincerely commune with friends. There is a big challenge (speaking for myself) in ladling that 'so-called out' into the rest of life... leaving gaps, openings, exposures ... yet, just wow.
