I like this comment by a Zen teacher that I read today '..the very heart of this Path is learning to live and be this life radically FREE OF THE NEED FOR 'WHAT'S NEXT', LIBERATED OF 'SOMETHING MORE THAT NEED BE DONE', FULFILLED OF 'ANYTHING MISSING'! The dissatisfaction, the need for something more, more exciting, more fulfilling is so conditioned in me..

As one teacher said to his student, after several hours of doing nothing: "you're so jumpy!"

:) Some nights it is difficult to write here... so much to share and so little that can be, yet, maybe one thing... in a conversation today about "aimless wandering" practice I went back for a moment and so clearly remembered that though the instructions are to notice what catches your eye, and respond yet be willing to change at any point when something else comes up... often one has already gone "into the opening," in a sense, before noticing. Appreciation then becomes the bloom of an 'open act'... or, hm, play.

Yes, I recognize this "already" . . . . thank you all for reminding me!
