I spent much of the day wondering about the nature of practice, and how we can practice without practicing, without expectation, without doing, just staying with what is.
Discussing self-transcendence today. There does seem to be an urge to reach some wonderful exalted state in us humans. Perhaps it is transcending this need that is the real transcending. Finding the wonder in the here and now and abandoning dreams that postpone full present participation in life.
Interesting Pema, for the longest time I believe that meditation can be part of your everyday focused action, perhaps what you call natural of practice. I am beginning to think... after what I have recently read and listened to that "more" meditation (at least more than I am currently doing) might be a good thing :). So I am now focusing on spending more time with meditation before my Tai Chi practice, nothing to loose and much to gain.
More not doing....I think I may have to think about that one.
