Biathlon style woods practice. Full tilt walk, senses wide open. Stop: let the perception/phenomena ratios emerge as they will. Go.

In one such pause looked down and there's a red squirrel just a meter away. Conversation was inevitable :-)

Sorry to hear Eliza :( I am a bit tired myself because I had an all day meditation session and had to get up early to get there. And I agree Pema - it is inexplicable, but that won't stop neuro-scientists trying to explain mind and brain, and it's in the book I am reading atm :) A non-duality perspective person I know thinks we humans are thought obsessed and much of the speculation we do is pointless. But it seems to be our nature?

I was struck, reading yesterday's comments by Eos. Before doing so, this morning during my practice I also hit upon the precision of events, of all that seems to randomly happen, and yet fits together with such precision. The more we relax, the more we can naturally relish in the precision of everything.
And yes, Zen, we humans are thought obsessed, but perhaps "we" are more than "just humans"? Just as humans have their natural animal dimension, plus something uniquely human in their culture, perhaps there are other dimensions we partake in, that are even more what we really are than our human organic material reality?
    And get well soon, Eliza!
