Day 81 of 99... reflecting on this process tonight and feeling thankful for the daily waves and encouragements. It has been easy, not much trouble, and yet helpful in lightly nurturing the flame ... continuity of focus. For myself I find that a lot of little practices, sowing little seeds, can be efficacious in a similar way to a longer sitting.
I can't say anything that isn't a storyline. It seems to be the nature of speech. And the stories aren't it. Ok, pointers. Hmmm. Would spontaneity be throwing away wisdom ?
Talking in stories may be like writing in calligraphy: all the letters are fixed, circumscribed, yet you have the freedom to express yourself in the way in which you write. There may be nothing wrong with stories as such; it all depends how you express yourself in those stories.
And yes, these daily tweet-like reports have been fun, for 180 or so days, just about half a year -- but it seems that we're now nearing a natural end to this experiment, given our dwindling numbers. Another 18 days to go. :-)
81: 9x9 : 99 -9 -9
Sometimes it's felt forced to say something here; sometimes what was allowed to express, in spite of self-critique, was meaningful to others. Sometimes just touching in is enough. Sometimes, as the Jade Emperor remarked in the Western Paradise, of the buddha statue used to smuggle drugs, the vessel is itself the transmission.
