I keep reading of my lack of free will lately. " ..every part of the brain is densely interconnected with - and driven by - other parts. And that suggests that no part is independent and therefore 'free.
From :' Incognito: The Secret lives of the Brain.

In fact the author suggests that it doesn't even matter. if it exists it is 'only a small factor riding on top of enormous automated machinery.' Things like genetics, childhood experiences, hormones etc. In fact if you are a carrier of a certain set of genes your probability of committing a serious crime go up by 882%....summarized as the Y chromosome, in other words.... a male. edited 23:41, 1 Mar 2012

Yes, infinite possibilities for exploring the science of hormones, genes, and other explanations based on the ordinary way of using our minds -- valuable within its own domain. And yet, and yet, something has always beckoned us to go beyond, beyond duality, beyond this and that, mine and dine, beyond words and concepts. We have the choice, to stay within an endless web of reductionistic `explanations' or to drop, stop, and see.
