Another formal early morning sit. Watching, then being pulled along by stories, then realizing that and going back to watching, then judging what I think or feel, then realizing that and going back to watching, quite a market place there, on my cushion.
The red buds are coming out on the trees, just as they were in Princeton. It's sudden summer - bikinis and all :-) The red squirrels are tiny, but chattering loudly. At one point the path is strewn with pine cones. I pick up living geometry, feeling seeing through my own lifetime.
Started sitting zazen in SL in the mornings in my meditation cabin. So nice to start the sitting in darkness and see the (SL) sun come up. Think that interruptions can be part of the practice too and maybe others might come and sit with me eventually.
Oh Zen, that sounds lovely. "What time are your sittings?" asks a potential interruption. ;-)
Here in Miami the yellow Tabebuia (or "trumpet") trees are blooming nearly everywhere I look. The pink varieties don't seem as common in my area but how beautiful it is they way the blossoming trees almost seem to coordinate with one another "you bloom first then I'll go" hah...
