The Guardian for this meeting was Calvino Rabeni. The comments are by Calvino Rabeni.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey cal
Calvino Rabeni: Hello Yakuzza, how goes it
    Yakuzza Lethecus: well thx
Yakuzza Lethecus: i hope everything is fine for you as well
Calvino Rabeni: Yes well, overall - a little off center - due to construction activities around me in RL
Bruce Mowbray: Ah, HA! The usual suspects.
Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Yaku and Calvino!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi bruce :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: but i have to say you belong to em by now :)
Bruce Mowbray: ;-) Am honored to be a suspect!
Bruce Mowbray: What are they building new you, Cal?
    Bruce Mowbray: near.
Calvino Rabeni: neighbors are sawing and pounding - about a roof or somethign; and near me, painting, dragging ladders around outside the window and on the roof
Bruce Mowbray: I am acutely aware of noise -- so that would probably disturb me, too.
    Calvino Rabeni: heheh
Calvino Rabeni: a painter walked through my room here and dropped a wet paintbrush on the rug :)
Bruce Mowbray: I wake up if my dog turns over at night -- or the crickets are a bit off-key.
Calvino Rabeni: and spoke a few choice words when doing so :)
Bruce Mowbray: Through you room?! -- I thought they were neighbors - not moving in!
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi guys
    Bruce Mowbray: your.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, aggers.
Calvino Rabeni: No the painters are working on this house
Calvino Rabeni: the sawers and pounders on another house
Bruce Mowbray: I see. Well, hopefully they'll be finished soon.
Calvino Rabeni: and some chain saws, leaf blowers, weed whackers ... that's the surround
Calvino Rabeni: Must be lunch, things are quieting down :0
    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: ;-) I'd probably hear them chewing.
    Bruce Mowbray: (a blue fish)
Bruce Mowbray: Love your hover-text, aggers.
    Agatha Macbeth grins
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hi aga :)
Agatha Macbeth: Seems more like no dreams tonight
Agatha Macbeth: Nice pose Yaku :)
    Agatha Macbeth: How's Jesus?
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Storm.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey storm
    Storm Nordwind: Hi guys
    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya Stormy!
Yakuzza Lethecus: is that animation a freebie bruce ?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: that greeting
Bruce Mowbray: You mean the wave, Yaku?
    Bruce Mowbray: yes.
Bruce Mowbray: It was among the gestures - - - I think it's the same one for "Hey" but without the sound.
Bruce Mowbray: Yep, that's it, aggers.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: Hey!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: ah
    Storm Nordwind waves
Yakuzza Lethecus: never used it :)
    Bruce Mowbray: You got it!
    Yakuzza Lethecus: lol
    Yakuzza Lethecus: Hey!
Agatha Macbeth: More hey than a barnyard
    Calvino Rabeni: Hey!
Storm Nordwind: Bruce Mowbray: You can delete the "hey" from it and just the wave remains.
Storm Nordwind put /me waves in it instead
    Agatha Macbeth waves
    Bruce Mowbray waves.
    Agatha Macbeth: That works
Agatha Macbeth: Is this a Mexican wave?
Storm Nordwind: It's not a bow wave, that's for sure
    Agatha Macbeth groans
Bruce Mowbray: Yo no se -- Creo que si!
Agatha Macbeth: A sine wave maybe?
Storm Nordwind: More of an asinine wave
    Agatha Macbeth agrees
Bruce Mowbray agrees -- but accepts asininity along with all his other traits.
Bruce Mowbray: What was it that I admitted to this morning. . . OH -- being sissy, yes. That too.
    Agatha Macbeth: Si si
Storm Nordwind: Careful - there's whole sims devoted to that kind of stuff!
    Agatha Macbeth: So I hear...
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, I've been to them.
    Storm Nordwind: Allegedly
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Cal -- I'm getting deeply involved with the book on Beauty.
Bruce Mowbray: It's a BEAUTIFUL book - and thanks for recommending it.
Agatha Macbeth: A beautiful book on beauty
Bruce Mowbray: Just a sec. . . I'll find a link for you.
Calvino Rabeni: I'm happy to hear that, Bruce
Agatha Macbeth: This will not affect the pound in your pocket Storm :)
Storm Nordwind: I wondered what that was in my pocket
Agatha Macbeth: As I said at the Brighton conference...
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Bruce Mowbray: Aqui esta el libro: http://www.amazon.com/Beauty-Invisible-Embrace-John-Odonohue/dp/0060957263/
Storm Nordwind: I don't think Gannex would suit you Aggers
    Agatha Macbeth: DEFINITELY not!
    Bruce Mowbray: Hola, Marly!
    Agatha Macbeth: Bob?
Marly Milena: Hi, just came to see what this is about
Agatha Macbeth: We're trying to work that out ourselves! :p
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Cal --- the show's all yours.
Calvino Rabeni: I will give you a note, Marly
Marly Milena: I have this note, but it doesn'ttell me much! L0L
    --BELL--

Calvino Rabeni: We meet here 4 times a day for contemplation and discussion
Marly Milena: I am intrigued by the name because I may be doing similar work here
    Agatha Macbeth: Ooh
Calvino Rabeni: Usually when that bell rings, there is a 90 second "mini-meditation" of silence
    Bruce Mowbray: None
    Agatha Macbeth smiles quietly
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Calvino Rabeni: So, a brief pause every 15 minutes to check in with one's awareness -
Calvino Rabeni: By the way, the sessions chat log is recorded here
Bruce Mowbray: Topics of discussion are very diverse -- and the mood also varies. . . often light and playful, but also sometimes quite serious.
Calvino Rabeni: so what is said, gets posted on the groups web site
Calvino Rabeni: we need to tell this to visitors and ask for their assent
Calvino Rabeni: If it is not OK with a visitor, then their words can be removed from the record :)
    Marly Milena: Fine with me
    Calvino Rabeni: Thanks
    Bruce Mowbray: welcome, aboard, Marly.
Calvino Rabeni: and you can read the logs of all the sessions
Marly Milena: Should I introduce myself?
    Calvino Rabeni: Please :)
Bruce Mowbray: If you like, sure!
Calvino Rabeni: I'm interested in what you're working on that might be similar ?
Marly Milena: I notice that everyone is on the Speaker screen. Can I use voice?
Calvino Rabeni: Well, once a week :) but nearly all sessions are text
    Yakuzza Lethecus: sadly not
    Marly Milena: OK
Yakuzza Lethecus: my session on friday is in voice
Agatha Macbeth: Because the conversation is recorded we do not use voice Marly
Marly Milena: Please read my profile for an overview
    Yakuzza Lethecus: at 12am
Bruce Mowbray: I've just joined OCTAGON!
    Marly Milena: That was fast!
Agatha Macbeth: Why not HEXAGON? :p
    Marly Milena: Hahah
Marly Milena: The Octagon design for my studio here came to me in a dream
Bruce Mowbray: aggers is such a square.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hexagons tesselatae...
    Marly Milena: Haha
    Agatha Macbeth: -a
Marly Milena: I am doing a demo tomorrow (with Skov Janick of NLP House) showing how I use the technology here to explore self awareness etc
    Agatha Macbeth: Whoa
Bruce Mowbray is fascinated and thinks: Marly has come to the right place!
Marly Milena: My background combines many arts with Gestalt and Jungian psychology, education, and organization development
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good
Marly Milena: I am mainly interested in experimenting with ways to use SL technology to produce insight, self-awareness, problem definition and solution, and more
Marly Milena: If you are interested, I can pass you a notecard describing some of my programs here.
Marly Milena: No pressure or obligation! LOL
Bruce Mowbray: Would it OK for you to give us a time and place for your demonstration -- or will group members automatically receive a notice?
    Agatha Macbeth: Please do
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, I'd like a notecard too, please.
Marly Milena: I can pass one to you now
    Bruce Mowbray: Thanks, Marly.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Morgano :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Thank you :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: thx marly
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey morgano
    morgano Bravin: Hi Agatha, yaku
    morgano Bravin: Hi Cal
    morgano Bravin: Bruce
    Calvino Rabeni: Hello morgano :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Ola, morgano.
Storm Nordwind: Thanks Marly. I follow someone on Twitter who is a creative coach - pretty much my last profession too before emigrating
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, different hair Morg
Marly Milena: Hi, Morgano, I am new here
    morgano Bravin: Hi Marly
Marly Milena: Interesting, Storm. Let's chat sometime.
Marly Milena: I am not sure of the parameters for sharing here. Did I say enough for now? LOL
Storm Nordwind: Sure. By the way the guy I follow is Dan Goodwin @coachcreative
Marly Milena: I am open to questions
Yakuzza Lethecus: It??s always great when someone brings a fresh subject into the circle :)
Bruce Mowbray: It's great, Marly, please say as much as you like -- btw, Storm is the builder of this sim.
Agatha Macbeth: And what a sim
    Bruce Mowbray: yes!
Marly Milena: Ah, I haven't had a chance to really look around....but I will. And I hope you all come visit my Octagon on Prism Lila
Storm Nordwind: You're all crazy, but thank you :)
morgano Bravin: whats your speciality Marley?
    --BELL--

Agatha Macbeth: Course we're crazy- that's why we come here :p
Marly Milena: Please read Local Chat just before you came. And my profile
    morgano Bravin: ok, thanks
Marly Milena: This is a wonderful practice!
    Marly Milena: The 90" silence
Calvino Rabeni: I read your profile and web site, Marly - thanks
Bruce Mowbray: For me, Play as Being is an adventure in self-discovery - - I hope you'll check out the wiki web-site listed on the notecard.
Bruce Mowbray: That says a lot more about what we're up to here.
Calvino Rabeni: Do you mind if I mention it in the log?
Marly Milena: I hope you found it interesting, Calvin! :-)
    Marly Milena: Sorry, Calvino!
Marly Milena: No but people can get it from my profile under Web
Calvino Rabeni: The log ends up being a bit like a blog, for people who couldn't be here in person
    Calvino Rabeni: http://www.peoplesystemspotential.com/
Yakuzza Lethecus is sneaking to bed
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good night!
Calvino Rabeni: So when they are reading it on the web, but offline from second life, it is handy to have some links
    Calvino Rabeni: Bye Yakusan
Agatha Macbeth: We saw you sneak Yaku
    Agatha Macbeth: Schlaf gut
    morgano Bravin: bye yaku
Marly Milena: In addition to what I do with Skov (ie coaching and creative process) I also collaborate with DreamSue Ansar on dreamwork and arts processes
    Calvino Rabeni: Nice
Agatha Macbeth: I know her :)
Calvino Rabeni: there are several dream-related activities around this group also
Marly Milena: And I have a monthly experiential creative process group. Last week, I had fun working with people on changing their avatar appearances drastically and what it brought up for them .
Marly Milena: And did it ever!!!
Bruce Mowbray: In fact, I think there's a dream group going on right now... (I might be wrong.)
    Agatha Macbeth: *That* sounds interesting!
Agatha Macbeth: No one turned up except Pila and me Bruce
Agatha Macbeth: So I came here
Marly Milena: WE switched genders, made ourselves as rotund and exaggerated as possible. Very interesting
Bruce Mowbray: Oh -- ok. That group is held in the Kira Cafe, Marly.
Agatha Macbeth: (This sounds vaguely familiar...)
Calvino Rabeni: BTW, one thing I like about your angle on things - is the addition of "expression" and creativity in proximity with spirituality
Bruce Mowbray says: I'm ducking out for a minute. . . will be right back.
Marly Milena: Yes, this is such a perfect for combining these aspects
    Agatha Macbeth: Quack quack
Agatha Macbeth: Yes Marly, very true
Storm Nordwind: Water off a duck's back Agatha?
    Agatha Macbeth: I guess...
Marly Milena: I have also done a lot of work here with transgenders. (Wrote a counseling book on it)
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
Marly Milena: Support groups, training facilitators
morgano Bravin: the dreams is at 2:00
Storm Nordwind: Cool. I knew many such people when I worked overseas. Even in the UK. Their problems are unique.
Marly Milena: Check out Dreamsue Ansar who does regular groups and has a dream manual which I can pass to you if you want it, Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: Please do :)
Agatha Macbeth: I know her from Mystic Academy
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Jo :)
    Storm Nordwind: Yo Io :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Thanx
    morgano Bravin: Hi Jo
Io Larkspur thinks: Mmmmm. . . this cushion has a strong smell of BRUCE about it!
    Io Larkspur: Hello, good people.
Agatha Macbeth: I don't think Bruce smells :)
Storm Nordwind must remember to disinfect the cushions more regularly
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Marly Milena: Do all of you already know each other? Do you each do individual projects here or work as a collaborative?
Agatha Macbeth: One great thing about SL - no smells
Storm Nordwind: We met here over the last two years. We now work together. The Play as Being project attracts people gradually. Many stay and help.
Marly Milena: I searched for a Play as Being group here but it doesn't seem to be listed....?
morgano Bravin: I must leave for dreams workshop now,,nice to meet you Marly,,see you guys :)
    Io Larkspur: Bye, morgano.
Storm Nordwind: There is room for individual research within the main project. Play as Being (PaB) is sponsored by the Kira Institute, a non-profit that many of us have worked with here too
    Marly Milena: Bye M
    Storm Nordwind waves
Agatha Macbeth: I might be along shortly Morg
    morgano Bravin: kk
Storm Nordwind: There are many individual workshops at the Kira Cafe in the next sim
Marly Milena: So is there an actual group to join here?
    Storm Nordwind: http://kira.org
Marly Milena: Not a URL, an SL group
Storm Nordwind: For Play as Being, people just read the intros on the Wiki, and try the practice
Storm Nordwind: If they like the practice they come hear and discuss what they find
Marly Milena: OK, so the gatherings four times a day are what you are offering
Storm Nordwind: Those who get 'seriously involved' spend some time helping - like hosting these 6 hourly meetings
    --BELL--

Storm Nordwind: The 9 second practice every 15 minutes is the main offering
Storm Nordwind: Four times a year (like this week, coincidentally) there are also real life retreats for practitioners.
Marly Milena: Is there an east coast contingent?
Storm Nordwind: Sure. In fact the founder of the practice is at IAS near Princeton
Storm Nordwind: But the main meeting place is in SL
Storm Nordwind: The RL retreats are a recent thing
Storm Nordwind: Our first was a year ago
Calvino Rabeni: People have different personal takes on PlayAsBeing - I think of it as interdenominational awareness based dialogue along with a lightweight meditation or contemplation practice
Storm Nordwind: And we aim for them to be around the world
Calvino Rabeni: It is purposely somewhat undefined :)
Marly Milena: I have been enjoying finding various dialogue groups on SL. There is one on Saturdays a few times a month for teachers and leaders with spiritual leanings
Marly Milena: I have one on creative process
Calvino Rabeni: The 28 weekly meetings around the clock, mean that people from all over the planet can participate
Marly Milena: Yes, that's a great plan
Calvino Rabeni: and check in with the process, basically any time
Marly Milena: I find scheduling a daunting challenge here
Io Larkspur mutters to self: This STENCH of Bruce it too much. Gotta go.
Storm Nordwind: There are many people with religious background in PaB - but also many who are creative or philosophical - and many all three!
Marly Milena: Well, that's an interesting mix!
    Marly Milena: :-)
Calvino Rabeni: Not to mention - scientific :)
Storm Nordwind: Yeah well - my fingers got tired typing :)
Agatha Macbeth blows on Storm's fingers
Storm Nordwind: There's a marked lack of dictat in PaB. And things like epoch?? are very much encouraged
    Agatha Macbeth: wb Bruce
Calvino Rabeni: Overall, probably the people who come here are interested in awareness / consciousness perspectives
    Bruce Mowbray: Thank.
    Bruce Mowbray: s.
Calvino Rabeni: as compared to "activism in the world"
Calvino Rabeni: but I believe awareness supports activism well
Calvino Rabeni: it's just that talk here isn't so much about getting things done :)
Agatha Macbeth: More about getting things not-done :)
Marly Milena: More about personal awareness, yes? That is my focus as well
Storm Nordwind wonders whether Bruce's fish isn't an example of epoch?? ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Bruce Mowbray: or UN-done.
    Agatha Macbeth: That too
Marly Milena: Hmmm, one of my friends just invited herself (or himself on other days) to dinner in RL, so I must depart.
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Marly Milena: Hope to see some of you tomorrow at 1pm sl.
Storm Nordwind: Please feel welcome to come again! :)
Bruce Mowbray: Thank you for joining us today, Marly.
Bruce Mowbray: Hope you'll come back soon.
Agatha Macbeth: Nice to meet you Marly :)
Marly Milena: My pleasure. Nice to meet you all
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye
Agatha Macbeth: Well that brightened the evening
Bruce Mowbray: indeed -- she has some interesting projects going,
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Definitely worth investigating further
Storm Nordwind: Surely you are basking in a bright British twilight right now Agatha ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Actually it's dark Storm
Agatha Macbeth: I just closed the curtains
Storm Nordwind: Ah yes... I spent too long in Scotland it seems
    Agatha Macbeth: Bonnie Scotland
Bruce Mowbray thinks -- Wow -- Storm shre makes this place SMELL good.
    Bruce Mowbray: sure.
    Bruce Mowbray: I LOVE Scotland!
Agatha Macbeth: Why all this talk of smell suddenly?
Agatha Macbeth: It's the one sense in SL you can't actually *use*
Storm Nordwind: Bruce has been scent to intrigue us
    Agatha Macbeth shakes her head
    Agatha Macbeth: Och aye Brucie
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice car rug
Storm Nordwind: We'll now test him on the tartan and some authentic Scots phrases
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Bruce Mowbray: Do you live in the Highlands, Aggers.
    Agatha Macbeth: Sadly not
    --BELL--

Storm Nordwind remembers publishing a short poem in Scots in a Japanese form on an international forum...
Agatha Macbeth: Now *that* I'd like to see
    Agatha Macbeth: Come back!
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Agatha Macbeth: Aha
    Agatha Macbeth: wb
    Storm Nordwind: Found it
Storm Nordwind: "ye've distilled / the speerit o the yird / intae a gardevine / tank ye / hae a wee dram yersel"
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Storm Nordwind: Now we see whether Bruce can translate it into English ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: A Scottish haiku
Storm Nordwind: A 'gogyohka' - 5 line form - to be exact
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: That's not a Japanese word?
Storm Nordwind: gogyohka is Japanese, yes. The inventor of the form is Japanese too - Enta Kusakabe
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, funny it doesn't look Japanese
Agatha Macbeth: Looks more like Sanskrit or something
    Storm Nordwind: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gogy%C5%8Dka
    Agatha Macbeth opens the browser
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, I see - different spelling
Calvino Rabeni: Calvino Rabeni returns from a troublesome phone call :)
    Agatha Macbeth: That's interesting Storm
Storm Nordwind: Another link is http://gogyohka.ning.com/
Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear Cal, everything okay?
Bruce Mowbray notices that Cal has on a different shirt -- and hopes the call is not TOO troubling.
Calvino Rabeni: Ah thanks - well let us say, I have to call a plumber immediately :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Oops
    Bruce Mowbray: Oh dear.
Calvino Rabeni: So I'd best run along :)
Storm Nordwind: Bye for now then
Agatha Macbeth: Bye Cal, put on some trunks
Bruce Mowbray: Me too. Thanks to everyone.
Calvino Rabeni: See you later, everyone, bye for now !
    Agatha Macbeth waves
Storm Nordwind: Lengthen yer kilt by 18" Bruce... oh he's gone
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Agatha Macbeth: But don't trip over it
Agatha Macbeth: Well that was a swift exodus
    Storm Nordwind: Whoosh
Storm Nordwind: Quicker than Labour Government
Agatha Macbeth: Did you hear someone has rezzed a house on Wol's plot at Mugunghwa?
    Storm Nordwind: Eh what!?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
Agatha Macbeth: Adams and i noticed it last night
Storm Nordwind: And Wol's on retreat...
Agatha Macbeth: I emailed Wol about it
Storm Nordwind: Can we return it?
Storm Nordwind wondered whether he has the rights
Agatha Macbeth: Well, she IMed me
Agatha Macbeth: Apparently she has given the miscreant 24 hrs to remove it - or else
Storm Nordwind: That's far too kind. I usually give them 24 seconds
Agatha Macbeth: Well, she is otherwise engaged atm
Storm Nordwind: Well it's possible I still have some permissions on land over there - but there again probably not.
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, what i don't understand is how someone outside the group could rez something there at all
Storm Nordwind: I think I'll go and check right now.
    Agatha Macbeth: I'll come too
    Storm Nordwind: OK
