Calvino Rabeni: A few years ago I drove up into a remote mountain pass (7000' elevation) and camped out in the truck bed for the night. It's great these happen in the warm part of summer

Calvino Rabeni: and I can't tell if its direction is inward-going or outward-going
Calvino Rabeni: as it seems to be both at once
Calvino Rabeni: Does it absorb energy? Or emit it?
Calvino Rabeni: It's very hmmmm, eidetic I gues
Paradise Tennant: eidetic ?
Calvino Rabeni: if you put a pin, to touch a point of it, a different image could emerge at each point
Calvino Rabeni: eidetic means, mental images of a "live" quality
Paradise Tennant: smiles much like reality .. we each are sort of little pins .. different images different perspectives
Calvino Rabeni: with moving energy inside, and unfolding
Calvino Rabeni: yes
Paradise Tennant: smiles looks at her .. image of reality .. surrounded by things she knows .. odd how .. it can be shared :) quite easily in a way .. like we are not only pins but maybe bridges too :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I view an image as a pin, yet someone wlse may see something very different from the same image
Calvino Rabeni: If it were the same image - maybe it's more real than image
Calvino Rabeni: accounting for its ability to present differently to the different seers
Calvino Rabeni: the image gets credit as does the seer

Calvino Rabeni: Very well ... although feeling inarticulate about just how that is.

Calvino Rabeni: There's been a run of "perfect" weather - confortable, good air, kind of pristine
Paradise Tennant: yes revelling in it too .. the winter boots are already in our stores ..

Calvino Rabeni: I feel like doing things to enjoy and remember the summer quality
Calvino Rabeni: I went for a mountain hike over the weekend

Calvino Rabeni: and am noticing the wild berries and other luxuries of nature
Calvino Rabeni: I was thinking, I'd like to rent a canoe and go out on the lake, kind of drift in the reeds and lilly pads
Calvino Rabeni: they are flowering
Calvino Rabeni: it is a kind of "celebrate summer" ritual
Paradise Tennant: nods .. they are alive with life .. use to canoe up in algonquin park alot ..always amazed at how densely populated the reeds were :)

Calvino Rabeni: yes it is a special magical world - forgotten virtually all the time during the winter life of a city

Calvino Rabeni: I was talking to a friend today, about the apparent "negative bias" about how human thinking gets involved with things
Calvino Rabeni: and noticing that - I think, - we make some efforts to counteract it - to get a truer view

Calvino Rabeni: Actually I don't have a sense for direction in SL - which way is East?
Paradise Tennant: smiles
Calvino Rabeni: I read an article about how the language of certain forest tribes, has only absolute directions, not anything relative to a person like left and right
Paradise Tennant: well you could just use your rl co-ordinates and orient east to where you are in physical form
Calvino Rabeni: it helps them always remember which way is which
Calvino Rabeni: which is important to not getting lost in the forest
Paradise Tennant: we create the tools we need .. language was one of our best tools on some levels
Calvino Rabeni: And when those people were asked to arrange several objects by time sequence, the direction was always relative to the world, not relative to which way they were personally facing
Calvino Rabeni: I found that a bit surprising
