    Wester Kiranov: hi cal

    Calvino Rabeni: Hello Wester :)

    Calvino Rabeni: What's new?

Wester Kiranov: the children have just started going to kindergarten yesterday.

Wester Kiranov: anything new with you?

    Calvino Rabeni: hmm :)

Calvino Rabeni: There are always many "new", but I'm wondering if anything is new in a new way :)

    Wester Kiranov: ah :)

Wester Kiranov: maybe either everything is new or nothing is

    --BELL--

Calvino Rabeni: Maybe, ... but I hope not :) there wouldn't be enough diversity to satisfy my thirst for growth and novelty; I can't quite imagine an all-yin or all-yang world.

Calvino Rabeni: I must be a diversitarian.

Calvino Rabeni: Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket !

Calvino Rabeni: Well I thought of something ... it took a while

Calvino Rabeni: I know a poet, but not very well, and he was referencing some theory of Keats which was called "Negative Capability"

Calvino Rabeni: So I looked that up, and decided it was probably the familiar notion of "Not Knowing" but in artist-speak.

Wester Kiranov: i think that's not quite what i meant. I meant you don't really need things to be new for them to feel fresh

Calvino Rabeni: Ahhhh, that sounds like a positive realization.

Calvino Rabeni: But yes, I didn't get it at first

Calvino Rabeni: And a bit more about that last story, is that I don't have any other known commonalities with the poet,

Calvino Rabeni: so I have the prospect of finding out whether Negative Capability is a similar idea to Not Knowing, but by speaking "poet"

Calvino Rabeni: For clarification he sent a poem by Robert Duncan, and I didn't "get" it really.

Calvino Rabeni: So that "not getting it" was familiar, but in a NEW WAY.

    Wester Kiranov: :)
