    arabella Ella: Hiya Bruce

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, arabella!

arabella Ella: Hiya Bruce and Yaku how are you guys today?

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Yaku!

Yakuzza Lethecus: ara you are just so lovely today!

arabella Ella: thanks ... but nothing has changed!

Yakuzza Lethecus: ah, so then it's not just the group ur in :)

    arabella Ella: ROFL

arabella Ella: I like the tag too :)

    Bruce Mowbray: waves

    Yakuzza Lethecus smiles :)

arabella Ella: you know what happens when you explore SL iyou get invited to groups and I like the tag of this one so I kept it

arabella Ella: makes a change from my usual 'Artifical Mind'

arabella Ella: and it seems like you like Goethe Yaku?

Yakuzza Lethecus: hehe, that's just a placebo :)

    arabella Ella: LOL

arabella Ella: have you downloaded a new version of Emerald Yaku as your tag is colour purple?

Yakuzza Lethecus: no faustian bargains included

arabella Ella: and i have seen others with a purple tag too as opposed to the usual emerald green

Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i can set the color in there

Yakuzza Lethecus: under shilds in the emerald options

    arabella Ella: what is shilds?

    Yakuzza Lethecus: i don't know

Yakuzza Lethecus: it's just in the tab with that name

arabella Ella: if you dont know then neither do i :)

    arabella Ella: but thanks anyway

Yakuzza Lethecus: how was ur day bruce ?

    Bruce Mowbray dies from laughing....

Bruce Mowbray: OK. Just got out of Quaker worship group int RL.

arabella Ella: was scared you crashed with that roar Bruce

    Bruce Mowbray: Thanks for asking.

Bruce Mowbray: Shall I calim this one - or do either of you want to do that?

    Bruce Mowbray: cliam.

    Bruce Mowbray: claim.

arabella Ella: perhaps you should leave about 5 mins to see whether the regular guardian turns up?

Bruce Mowbray: cool --- good ideal.

arabella Ella: not sure who it is

arabella Ella: maybe Wol but not sure

arabella Ella: (or is Wol Saturdays?)

Bruce Mowbray: This is one of the groups that Eden wrote to us about -- and I originally said I wold do it, but then remembered my Quaker group.

Bruce Mowbray: but I'm out of that now....

Bruce Mowbray: I think she said that she'd found someone else, so we can wait for them.

arabella Ella: yes i suggest you wait a while and claim it later if no one else does so

Bruce Mowbray: no problem -- good idea.

arabella Ella: was it a good Quaker group meeting then today Bruce?

Bruce Mowbray: It was a very good group today, thanks.

Bruce Mowbray: As a "centering thought' I suggested that we do Pema's assignment for this week's Time Sessions group.

    arabella Ella: cool

Bruce Mowbray: To let the world see us.

Bruce Mowbray: It was pretty amazing.

arabella Ella: which of Pema's assignments specifically?

    arabella Ella: oh Being Seeing

Bruce Mowbray: For this week's Time Magic group.

    Bruce Mowbray: on Chapter 3.

arabella Ella: unfortunately those Time meetings are not at a European friendly time!

    Bruce Mowbray: i know -- that's sad.

Bruce Mowbray: Pema's in Japan now - so I don't know whether it's good for him either.

arabella Ella: yes although Pema is amazing with his timing and commitments

arabella Ella: and the way he manages to keep them all somehow

Bruce Mowbray: anyway - the idea is that we "stop hiding" - and let the world (earth, sky, trees, meteors, etc) see us as we are.

arabella Ella: good time management i guess

    arabella Ella: cool

Bruce Mowbray: It produces a shift is perception habits. . . quite interesting for the Quakers today.

    Bruce Mowbray: in.

Yakuzza Lethecus: hehe, for me the time session is at a good time :)

arabella Ella: yes we had done that experiment with him some time back and the results are amazing

Yakuzza Lethecus: i come home early fridays

    arabella Ella: ah

Bruce Mowbray: Even thinking about others around the planet trying to accommodate the schedule is a way of shifting our perception.

    --BELL--

    Yakuzza Lethecus: 4 pm CET

Yakuzza Lethecus: ara i thought ur in ur sabatical ? :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: bruce: or do you want this log ?

arabella Ella: Yaku a sabbatical is not a vacation

Bruce Mowbray: I can take it or leave it with you, Yaku -- It's really u to you.

    Bruce Mowbray: up.

Yakuzza Lethecus: then i'll post it some day :)

Or I (Wol) will beat you both to it!

    Bruce Mowbray: ;-_

    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)

Bruce Mowbray: Have you read Pema's Chapter 3 yet?

arabella Ella: are you asking me?

Bruce Mowbray: either of you, yes.

arabella Ella: if so I dont know which text you are referring to?

Yakuzza Lethecus: the only perception in pab i have is that we all are culturaly not that distant from each other

Yakuzza Lethecus: no i didn't bruce

Bruce Mowbray: It is for the Time Magic sessions.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Magic_of_Time/Time_Sessions

    Bruce Mowbray: OK.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Books/Magic_of_Time

arabella Ella: ah thanks ... and I did not read it

Yakuzza Lethecus: bruce is reffering to reality check

Bruce Mowbray: Yep, that's the one.

arabella Ella: isnt he referring to Being Seeing experiement?

Bruce Mowbray: The "reality check" os a review of all that we've done so far -- and then it goes into the "letting ourselves be seen" part.

Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, i also think about it in that way :)

arabella Ella: I like the way Pema uses the expression 'Life as a Laboratory'

arabella Ella: and the way he uses the analogy of frames as in a movie

    arabella Ella: frame by fame

    arabella Ella: *frame

arabella Ella: was that a freudian slip on my part I wonder

Bruce Mowbray: yes, and ordinarily we see ourselves as in the center - perceiving an "outer" world frame-by-frame.

    arabella Ella nods

Bruce Mowbray: This week, he suggests that we switch perceptions and become that which is seen.

    arabella Ella: yes very interesting

Bruce Mowbray: soooooo..... I also suggested that with my RL Quaker group -- and all sorts of stuff about compassion and empathy came up.

arabella Ella: please say more Bruce

Bruce Mowbray: mmmm. Well, as you are probably aware, Quakers have "silent worship."

Bruce Mowbray: sometimes before that period of silence, the "leader" (me, today) offers a "Centering Thought"

arabella Ella: oh i did not know about silent worship

Bruce Mowbray: so, today I offered the thought that we allow ourselves to be seen by the earth, by the trees, by others, by the sky ---

Bruce Mowbray: and we all sat with that for about 40 minutes.

Bruce Mowbray: and afterwards the discussion was very good.

    arabella Ella: fantastic

arabella Ella: I'm afraid I must leave now, rather early but gtg

    arabella Ella: bye for now

Bruce Mowbray: In case you'd want to research that a bit, ara, here's a link:

    Bruce Mowbray: http://www.fgcquaker.org/library/wel...ntworship.html

arabella Ella: oh thanks Bruce will wait for the link - thanks got it!

Bruce Mowbray: OK. Bye for not, ara.

    Bruce Mowbray: now.

    arabella Ella: bye

Bruce Mowbray: I am in a totally different setting now, Yaku.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: how come ?

Yakuzza Lethecus: you mean where you are in RL

Bruce Mowbray: A couple of miles from where the Quakers meet is a sports bar -- with LOUD blasting music and about two dozen TV screens.

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey adoro

    adoro Rhapsody: hi all

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, adoro.

Yakuzza Lethecus: and ur in the sportsbar right now ? :)

Bruce Mowbray: I am using their wi-fi to access the internet -- and drinking beer!

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hehe :)

Bruce Mowbray: (like a good Quaker!)

    Bruce Mowbray dies from laughing....

Yakuzza Lethecus: i hope not that much beer :)

    adoro Rhapsody: amused to death

Bruce Mowbray: oh Dear! where did I go!?

    Bruce Mowbray: what's happening?!

    adoro Rhapsody: good act Bruce

    --BELL--

adoro Rhapsody: laughing to second death

Bruce Mowbray: I couldn not stop the animation -- so I went into the "advanced' menu to do it.

    Bruce Mowbray: whew!

    adoro Rhapsody: wow

    adoro Rhapsody: its amusing

Bruce Mowbray: How is life in Holland, adoro?

    adoro Rhapsody: rainy

    adoro Rhapsody: weather

Bruce Mowbray: really. . . I wish it would rain over here.

    adoro Rhapsody: cold and dark

adoro Rhapsody: but interesting thinking of last pab session

Bruce Mowbray: help me remember, please.

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, steve.

    stevenaia Michinaga: hello

    adoro Rhapsody: doesnt matter

    adoro Rhapsody: hi steve

stevenaia Michinaga: smiles, I resolved my appearance problem

    Bruce Mowbray: ok.

    Bruce Mowbray: ;-0

stevenaia Michinaga: hello Adoro, Yak, Bruce

adoro Rhapsody: i must go again working tomorrow

    adoro Rhapsody: bye folks

    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye adoro

stevenaia Michinaga: nice to meet you

Bruce Mowbray: ok -- Bye, adoro!

Yakuzza Lethecus: yeah, i also have to work early

Yakuzza Lethecus: i stay until 2 pm

stevenaia Michinaga: seems tomarrow is farther away for me

Yakuzza Lethecus: how was ur day steven ?

    Bruce Mowbray: ok.

stevenaia Michinaga: good, raining all afternoon, Camaber Cody is playing in town for free, I may go see him

    stevenaia Michinaga: Comander

    stevenaia Michinaga: www.commandercody.com/

Bruce Mowbray: Commander Cody. . . sounds like a military dude.

    stevenaia Michinaga: not quite

stevenaia Michinaga: "Since the conclusion of his 70’s band The Lost Airmen, Commander Cody (aka George Frayne) has continued to plow his way through the American music scene in his own unique way. The Commander Cody Band offers the perfect amount of old school rock and roll, redneck country, boogie-woogie and swing for any music connoisseur"

    Bruce Mowbray: ahhhh.... Bethlehem, PA.

Bruce Mowbray: show starts at 7 p.m. (EST)

    stevenaia Michinaga: nods

    Bruce Mowbray: cool.

stevenaia Michinaga: about 10 minutes from here

Bruce Mowbray: I was telling Yaku earlier that I went directly from a silent worship Quaker Meeting to this sports bar where there is LOUD music blaring.

Bruce Mowbray: I am using their wifi and drinking beer.

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Arch.

    stevenaia Michinaga: :)

    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Arch

    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey arch

    Archmage Atlantis: Hey guya

    Archmage Atlantis: *s

    --BELL--

Archmage Atlantis: It'a been decades since I attended a Quaker meeting

Bruce Mowbray: You are a Quaker, Arch?

    Bruce Mowbray: (or were?)

Archmage Atlantis: My ex an I had good friends who were Quaker in PA

    Archmage Atlantis: Not me

Bruce Mowbray: me neither. I jujst sit with them every Sunday.

    Archmage Atlantis: Do any speak?

Bruce Mowbray: It's the only group within 50 miles of where i live that practices meditation on a regular basis.

    Archmage Atlantis: oh

Bruce Mowbray: yes, we have silent worship but folks are invited to "speak into ther Silence."

    Bruce Mowbray: the.

Bruce Mowbray: It is an unusual group -- we have no one that i know of who professes to believe in God.

Archmage Atlantis: Yes, I know the practice

    Bruce Mowbray: most are atheistic-pamtheistic.

    Bruce Mowbray: pantheistic.

Bruce Mowbray: we also hold down all possible ends and middle of the gender-identification spectrum.

Archmage Atlantis: I suppose if if were not shamanistic, quaker would be the most close

    Bruce Mowbray: cool.

    Qt Core: hi all

Bruce Mowbray: Do you think of yourself as a shaman?

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Qt?

Archmage Atlantis: No, and yes......sometimes see....sometimes am blind

Bruce Mowbray: I am fascinated by shamanism... and have a close relationship with a shaman in RL.

    Archmage Atlantis: brb

    Bruce Mowbray: ok.

stevenaia Michinaga: sorry incomming skype from New Zealand, see you soon

Bruce Mowbray: ok, steve. Be well.

Qt Core: which nice topic i missed ?

Bruce Mowbray: Perhaps the thing that I most fascinates me about shamanism is the involvement with animals as "familiars."

Archmage Atlantis: I am here again, not that it matters

    Archmage Atlantis: oH

Bruce Mowbray: It matters to me, Arch.

Archmage Atlantis: I have 3 animal spirits

    Archmage Atlantis: A snow leopard

    Archmage Atlantis: A badger

Bruce Mowbray: in RL, you mean, Arch?

    Archmage Atlantis: and a coyote

    Archmage Atlantis: *chuckes*

    Archmage Atlantis: In my FL

Archmage Atlantis: Tis a bit of madness I accept

Bruce Mowbray: OK -- I have dozens of coyotes living right across the road from the farm.

Bruce Mowbray: They sometimes get domesticated dogs and cats for their dinner.

Qt Core: good to keep oneself diet varied

Bruce Mowbray: Why is it madness to think that other species besides our own has consciouosness?

Archmage Atlantis: My Rl animals are a bengal cat, 2 parrokeets, 2 kioi, and some schooling fish

    Yakuzza Lethecus: good night everyoen

    Qt Core: 'night Yaku

Bruce Mowbray: Good night, Yaku! and thatks for being "claimer" here.

    --BELL--

Archmage Atlantis: Because, Bruce, most do not see things that way

Bruce Mowbray: Most "animals' DO see it that way -- and I side with them.

Archmage Atlantis: Yea, mine do also........

Bruce Mowbray: animals speak a language far older than words.

    Archmage Atlantis: agree

Bruce Mowbray: i have talked to the coyotes across the road and told them that my land is off-bounds to them - and they are to regard my dog bear as a friend.

Bruce Mowbray: and -- they DO!

    Archmage Atlantis: Of course

Archmage Atlantis: I have to go

Bruce Mowbray: They go into everyone else's gargabe and kill others' animals - chickens, for example, but nevcer here.

Bruce Mowbray: OK -- I need to go home too.

Archmage Atlantis: again we will speak :)

    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Arch.

    Qt Core: bye then

Bruce Mowbray: Are you leaving too, QT?

Bruce Mowbray: i don't really have to leave -- only to stopp drinking beer.

    Qt Core: ;-)

Qt Core: no, i just come online

    Qt Core: brb

Bruce Mowbray: I was telling Arch and Yaku that I'd come from a Quaker Meeting and am now in a sports bar drinking beer.

Bruce Mowbray: (I will run to the restroom for a moment -- brb myself!)

    Bruce Mowbray: back!

Qt Core: back had to close some windows

    Bruce Mowbray: rain?

Qt Core: yes, coming and going, a few hours ago i saw the best rainbow i've saw in years, a double one too

    Bruce Mowbray: fantastic!

Bruce Mowbray: Did you take a photo of the raibow -- and I hate to have to be inside with rainbows outside...

Qt Core: a few, but hadn't the time to get them out of the camera yet

Bruce Mowbray: When I was in Scotland, we saw several rainbos every day....

    Bruce Mowbray: rainbows.

    Qt Core: nice

Bruce Mowbray: They are very rare here in Ohio.

Qt Core: air too dry even when raining ?

Bruce Mowbray: Something about the angle of the sun and the storm fronts.

Bruce Mowbray: the storms usually come in the later afternoons, and the sun is at the wrong angle then.

Qt Core: today i think i was at the exact angle, the color were very strong, violet and blue too

Bruce Mowbray: also, i think the misty air is a factor (especially in Scotland).

    Bruce Mowbray: wonderful.

    Bruce Mowbray: awe-inspiring.

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: it's wonderful to see one's self as "seen": my natural events -- seen by a thunderstorm, or a rainbow.

    Bruce Mowbray: by.

Qt Core: yes, spent some time watching it, luckily i was cooking ravioli, so very difficoult to burn them ;-)

    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)

Qt Core: i got out on the balcony and no one was around, for a brief moment i thought that the rainbow was only for me

Bruce Mowbray: perhaps it was only for you!

Bruce Mowbray: why not - - - and it saw you there on the balcony.

Bruce Mowbray: How did it feel to sharing Being with a rainbow?

    Bruce Mowbray: share.

Qt Core: i felt (or just thought about ?) white

Bruce Mowbray: sounds to me like you heard the rainbow's message, then.

Qt Core: now i regret not leaving the camera out of the picture ;) and just sit there watching it

Bruce Mowbray: My waitress has given me my check and is giving me "get-out-of-here-and-make-room-for-others" looks.

Bruce Mowbray: There will be another rainbow for you to photograph.

Bruce Mowbray: You already have a "photograph" in your memory.

Bruce Mowbray: btw -- I think it's really cool that a real Italian makes ravioli.

Bruce Mowbray: in America, we buy that in cans.

Qt Core: premade, not made by hand, a rare thing nowadays making them from scratch

    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)

Qt Core: premade as in you still have to cook them in water and salt or broth, not just to warm them

Bruce Mowbray: Well, sire, I must get out of the sports bar and go back into the country -- to my farm and the coyotes and the dog.

    Bruce Mowbray: sir.

Qt Core: ok, have a nice time then

Bruce Mowbray: May you be well and and happy - with rainbows and ravioli!

    Qt Core: ;)

    Qt Core: bye

Bruce Mowbray: bye for now, Qt.
