Archmage Atlantis: Well, the solstice has generally held a position of a symbol of the rebirth of life
Archmage Atlantis: Celebrated in some fashion my most Northern hemisphere faiths since a long time

Archmage Atlantis: When I was reminded that the southern hemisphere is a mirrow image, it led me to wonder if celebrations are also reversed by the native Australians.....I don't know
Archmage Atlantis: Then it led me to think that as our descendents travel to the stars, many different perspectives will be held by those at different stars and different biologies
Archmage Atlantis: Frankly, I can't keep all the different times in the US straight :)
Archmage Atlantis: Much less the wide variety we dream of

Archmage Atlantis: Had to think about that one a minute Geoff......yes, without information it is not choice, it is chance
sophia Placebo: it seems to me that though many would say they are happy they can choose , they dont look much happy at the moment they do choose , lots of burden comes with some choices

Geoff Baily: the information is incomplete in practice usually!
sophia Placebo: it is strange how we are happy for having something that put some stress on us
Geoff Baily: without information you may not even be aware of the possibility of there being a choice

Geoff Baily: yes sophia risk is often fun!
Archmage Atlantis: Seems to me there are different emotional approaches to the incompleteness of infomation
Archmage Atlantis: Or rather different outlooks
Archmage Atlantis: To embrace the uncertainty of the outcome as a thrill
Archmage Atlantis: To shy awary and hide from it
Archmage Atlantis: To recognize the risk and accept it as a resonsibility
Archmage Atlantis: Sometimes all of the above, and probably other outlooks that just don't come to mind right now, or are yet to be experience
