Eliza Madrigal: Hi Stim, Gaya, Scath, and Cal :)
    Stim Morane: Hi Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal smiles at gaya
    Gaya Ethaniel nods :D
Scathach Rhiadra: yes, but did you realise how the disembodied head of the bunny was attached to it?
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Eliza:)
Gaya Ethaniel: The script hides the avatar by burying beneath ground.
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Eliza, SophiaSharon :)
    Stim Morane: disembodied head?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi everyone
    Eliza Madrigal: oooh..couldn't see that
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sharon :)
Gaya Ethaniel: It's too yucky to show heheheh
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello sophiasharon
    SophiaSharon Larnia: waves
    Stim Morane: Hi SophiaSharon
Gaya Ethaniel wonders if we can talk about 'right/wholesome speech' ... :)
Stim Morane: What's your view re that?
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Agatha :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Gaya
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello agatha
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Agatha :) Festive!
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Scath
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Agatha
    Stim Morane: hi Santa Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Eliza :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Cheers Stim :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Father used to quote Confucius re: good speech ... and I've been thinking about it beyond obvious reasons ie. harm oneself/others.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello SSL
Calvino Rabeni: Agatha, Hello, what a surprise :0
    Agatha Macbeth: Say what Cal?
Gaya Ethaniel: Filtering 3 times before speaking and be aware of while and after ... can't remember exactly word by word. I hope to look up over Christmas holiday.
Calvino Rabeni: Ah, your big red av sat on my cam position, it was funny :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Still 2D Gaya?
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh sorry!
    Agatha Macbeth: (Woooops)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: lol Calvino
Calvino Rabeni: Kikd of fun, no problem :)
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Intersting Gaya
    Eliza Madrigal: *Interesting rather
    Agatha Macbeth: Aha 3D!
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, Gaya, if I did that I would never talk
Gaya Ethaniel: There you go ... :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Yes SophiaSharon, my parents have high standards ... ^^;;;
Eliza Madrigal: Oh now you are just showing off ;-D
Agatha Macbeth: Love the antlers Gaya :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :P
    Eliza Madrigal giggles (kidding-that's great)
Agatha Macbeth: What about the red nose?
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh sweet avi Gaya
    Gaya Ethaniel digs deep ...
    SophiaSharon Larnia: and Agatha
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: there ... red nose ... hard to please this crowd ... :)
    Stim Morane: Hi Liza
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Liza :)
    Agatha Macbeth: TY!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
    Liza Deischer: hi everybody
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Liza
    SophiaSharon Larnia: HI Liza
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Liza
Gaya Ethaniel: So when I said I couldn't filter very well before speaking, I was told not to say anything unless it needs to be said ...
Stim Morane: you're the very spirit of Christmas, Gaya
    Agatha Macbeth: Yup
Gaya Ethaniel: But anyway, other than harm, why does one need to be aware of speech in your opinion?
    Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks :)
Calvino Rabeni: Well one thing is, it communicates you.
    --BELL--
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Mila :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Mila
    Mila Greene: hey :)
    Stim Morane: Hi Mila
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Mila :)
    Liza Deischer: hi Mila
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Mila
Mila Greene: wow, gaya - that's a nice outfit :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ty :)
Agatha Macbeth: Hello again Alf :)
Calvino Rabeni: Ah, gaya you are rudolf
Gaya Ethaniel: I don't have lm so search by the maker for her shop --Ephe Luik
    Gaya Ethaniel: lol
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Mila Greene: you look like some noble person with servants around you :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ack
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Zon
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Zon
    Liza Deischer: hi Zon
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Zon :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zon :) Fancy
    Zon Quar: hi
    Stim Morane: hi Zon
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Zon
Agatha Macbeth: 007 eat your heart out
    SophiaSharon Larnia: grins
Gaya Ethaniel: I guess speech is an expression ... like physical gesture so it's related to my point re: harming oneself/others by 'false' speech.
Eliza Madrigal: I relate to what Sharon said, re not speaking if one tried to filter 3 times... was raised with 'don't speak until spoken to" and that was difficult to shake :)
Calvino Rabeni: There is a lot of room between true and false - lots of qualities maybe neither true or false
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm
Eliza Madrigal: *not speaking until after one... rather. Sigh. Funny fingers today
SophiaSharon Larnia: i also meant the contant censoring
    SophiaSharon Larnia: constant*
Eliza Madrigal nods, and yet i guess it is about just paying attention and depends on the spirit in which it is approached?
Calvino Rabeni: Does the habit live on, Eliza?
SophiaSharon Larnia: speech can be a gift too
    SophiaSharon Larnia: to others
Eliza Madrigal: It pops up occasionially, Cal, like a gopher
    Calvino Rabeni: :)
Eliza Madrigal: "Oh, I thought you were gone, darn" :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Storm :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Storm! :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Storm :)
    Liza Deischer: hi Storm
    Stim Morane: hi Storm
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello storm
    Storm Nordwind: Hi everyone!
    Agatha Macbeth: Yo Storm!
Gaya Ethaniel smiles @ the expression 'gopher'.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: thank you for the ice rink, Storm, I had fun playing there the other day with my friends :P
Storm Nordwind: I'm very pleased! You are welcome :)
Agatha Macbeth: How about a game of curling?
    Stim Morane: :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: lol
    Storm Nordwind: Great idea.
    Agatha Macbeth: i *love* curling!
    Liza Deischer: huh?
Storm Nordwind: Great game, little played outside a small island
    Stim Morane: :)
Agatha Macbeth: invented by the Scots?
Gaya Ethaniel: Big in Canada too I think.
Storm Nordwind: No one knows for sure
Liza Deischer: on land or ice?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, in Canada
Agatha Macbeth: And the Scandanavian countries too
    Gaya Ethaniel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curling
Storm Nordwind: On ice. records point to its existence up to 500 years ago close by to where I emigrated from
Agatha Macbeth: where was that Storm?
    Storm Nordwind: Renfrew
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, excuse my ignorance
Gaya Ethaniel: So ... why is 'right' speech important for you?
    Liza Deischer: hi Ara
    Agatha Macbeth: hello Ara :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello arabella :)
    arabella Ella: Hiya
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ara :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Ara
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Arabella
    --BELL--
Gaya Ethaniel notices Stim's tag ... lol ... read his new profile ... rofl
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Zen
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Liza Deischer: hi Zen
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Zen :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Zen
Zon Quar: called away he waves to all and flies quietly...
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Zon
Stim Morane: yes, I got tagged by some mischief maker
    Zen Arado: bye Zon
    Liza Deischer: bye Zon
Stim Morane: by zon, hi arabella
    Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
Gaya Ethaniel: ah Stim just leave that group, Creamshop ...
Gaya Ethaniel: It's a lovely shop but ... I'm guessing you by mistake clicked 'Join Group'.
    Stim Morane: probably ...
Eliza Madrigal: Stim is a mystery
Gaya Ethaniel: lol it's advisable never to 'Accept', 'OK', 'Join' etc etc unless it's from someone you know.
SophiaSharon Larnia: aww i like it :)
    Stim Morane: :)
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps ice cream is a metaphor for the nature of reality
Eliza Madrigal: That might even be his group
    Gaya Ethaniel giggles.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, theres i love homework
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, love that... ice cream as reality :)
Agatha Macbeth: With a flake :)
    Stim Morane: :)
Storm Nordwind delights in the ambiguity of Agatha's Britishism
Eliza Madrigal: gaya was there something on your mind specifically about right speech?
    Agatha Macbeth: Me too Storm!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Just curious about others' opinions ... :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Just never confuse a 99 with a 69 ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: for me your question brought up thinking about new years resolutions.. and 'right time', which also for me has to do with right speech in a way... trying not to be so chit chatty :)
Gaya Ethaniel: If anyone has seen good reasons for keeping that moral code beyond obvious reasons as I said.
Gaya Ethaniel: What's wrong with chit chat anyway ...? Can you expand a bit more on 'right time' re: speech?
Calvino Rabeni: I see reason to keep the mindfulness part of it
Gaya Ethaniel: As part of a practice Calvino?
Calvino Rabeni: So one could be mindful while chit chat
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Calvino Rabeni: Yes as part of living
SophiaSharon Larnia: I've heard it said that levity in speech means no one will listen to what you say, I don't think i agree with that, but is that a part of it.
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Eliza Madrigal: just becoming a bit more structured, Gaya, and there isn't anything 'wrong' with it just that for me I think it would be helpful not to blabber so much... hah
Zen Arado: "when words are many sin is not absent" Proverbs
Agatha Macbeth: You blabber Eliza? :)
Eliza Madrigal: it is a new years gift for others :)
Gaya Ethaniel doesn't think Eliza blabbers ... :)
Storm Nordwind: Levity in spontaneous but small measure can lighten a dead heart
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
Eliza Madrigal: :) Thanks. I always run over my own resolutions by Feb so don't worry
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: hee hee
Calvino Rabeni: Eliza's "blabber" has very high signal to noise amount
    Storm Nordwind: hear hear
    Agatha Macbeth: Uh huh
    Zen Arado: yes
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
    Eliza Madrigal: sweet, thanks
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Yaku :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Yakuzza
    Zen Arado: Hi Yaku
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ya :)
    Stim Morane: Hi Yakuzza
Agatha Macbeth: Hi to your tea too :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Yakuzza
    Eliza Madrigal: haah
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Yakuzza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Ya's tea enters before he does
    Liza Deischer: hi Yaku
Gaya Ethaniel: For me everything you've said has been insightful and delightful Eliza :)
    Agatha Macbeth: As always!
Eliza Madrigal: oh my. Thank you Gaya. You should read more... but thanks. It isn't really about that.. maybe it has to do with 'intoxication' too... getting carried away, etc
    Liza Deischer: getting off focus?
Calvino Rabeni: Ask Rumi about intoxication
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Zen Arado: but is spontaneous
    Liza Deischer: as adistration?
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, Liza, I guess so. We'll see. I wonder how many of us in this large group make resolutions...
Agatha Macbeth: Not me, no point
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    --BELL--
arabella Ella: i've given up on resolutions for NY but they can be made at any time when appropriate
Agatha Macbeth: New Year or New York Gaya?
Liza Deischer: there is a problem with resolution with NY, because most of the time it means that it is not coming form insight
Liza Deischer: it is more a time you focus on
Liza Deischer: and then use willpower to get there
Eliza Madrigal: Well, I do agree with that Liza. Then again sometimes one has something on the back-burner and takes the opportunity/momentum of a particular day...
Liza Deischer: Ik go with ara
    Liza Deischer: true either
Storm Nordwind: Some people claim to need artificial boundaries and deadlines to get anything done at all.
Gaya Ethaniel: New Year or New York ... Agatha?
arabella Ella: i find tho that some ppl just tend to reflect at the end of the year ... a bit like splurging on good intentions which are so short lived
Gaya Ethaniel: ah you were asking arabella maybe.
Agatha Macbeth: Sorry, I meant Ara
arabella Ella: Oh ... New Year Gaya
Eliza Madrigal: yes and there is a bit of a natural window, Ara, too
Eliza Madrigal: change in schedules, etc
arabella Ella: maybe but it is so arbitrary i find
Zen Arado: a bit of rare introspection
Gaya Ethaniel: Fore me, more specific resolutions are less time-scale I attach to them ... works better for me that way.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Gaya Ethaniel: shorter time-scale*
Zen Arado: should evolve more naturally
Calvino Rabeni: The start of a year is symbolic as much as artificial, and as symbolic, I think it is good for people to lend it their power
Eliza Madrigal: well it is something that goes on all the time, too
Zen Arado: just come to a point where you outgrow some habit
Zen Arado: so easier to let go
Storm Nordwind: Today is the shortest day of the year in the notrhern hemisphere. If anyone craves less artificiality, today is an opportunity
Zen Arado: that's the theory anyway :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: or realize you outgrew it, from the artificial boundary
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes happy solstice :)
    Stim Morane: :)
arabella Ella: yes ... shortest day ... and seems like one of the coldest too :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Happy Solstice all
Liza Deischer: I think a boundary like ny can be usefull, but that depends on the symbolism, not the time
    Liza Deischer: itself
    arabella Ella: Happy Winter Solstice!
Gaya Ethaniel: I didn't make the solstic beansoup ... well made something red anyway.
Gaya Ethaniel chases evil spirits away!
Storm Nordwind is relishing the 7:15am sunrise... so much earlier than what he's used to in northern Europe
    Agatha Macbeth: :)
    arabella Ella: :)
Eliza Madrigal: oh my... I thought the bean soup is new years... or rather my great grandmother did :)
Liza Deischer: bean soup, NY, I think om lost here
    Liza Deischer: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
Gaya Ethaniel: This is sweet red bean [azuki] soup with rice dumping ... :) People drops some around the house to chase evil spirits ...
Agatha Macbeth: Me too Liza :)
    Zen Arado: what beans?
    Storm Nordwind: /me's tummy rumbles
    Zen Arado: wants recipe :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: sounds delicious :)
Eliza Madrigal: oh, that sounds much more fun than what we ate on new years... along the lines of a 16 bean soup...
Liza Deischer: okay, never heard of before :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: http://www.sangbum.com/maro/entry/%E...%A0?category=0
Eliza Madrigal thinks her kids would have a ball with that ritual :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Storm Nordwind: At New Year you can eat "has been" soup! ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: haahha
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Agatha Macbeth: There's a has-been fly in my has-been soup
    Gaya Ethaniel: ?
Agatha Macbeth: That's for the awaiter :)
arabella Ella: Gaya I cant read that recipie :(
Zen Arado: looks nice but my Japanese not good :(
Eliza Madrigal: 'what a year it has been', gaya :)
    Agatha Macbeth: waiter
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ...
Agatha Macbeth: i blame Jack Daniels
    Stim Morane: :)
    arabella Ella: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Or my (hic!) fingers
    Gaya Ethaniel: lol
arabella Ella: poor Jack always gets the blame
Eliza Madrigal: he seems to want it
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: In my case with total justification :)
    arabella Ella: he he
Gaya Ethaniel: wwahhh I'm giggling a lot.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Stop it Gaya
    Agatha Macbeth: Calm down
Agatha Macbeth: You'll bust an antler
Gaya Ethaniel: I stopped until you asked me to stop Agatha lol
    Eliza Madrigal guffaws
Storm Nordwind has poured some "Christmas Spirit" in the pool
    Agatha Macbeth: heeeheee
    Eliza Madrigal: Cheers!
Agatha Macbeth: i think i drank some!
Zen Arado: I have a bottle in my inventory
Zen Arado: but hesitatto drink it
    Zen Arado: very strong
Agatha Macbeth: Tell hesitatto to buy his own :)
Liza Deischer: pass it on Zen
    Calvino Rabeni: here's to it!
    Gaya Ethaniel: ^^;;;
    Liza Deischer: thanks Zen
    Liza Deischer: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I must go. Fun to see you all today :)
