Eliza Madrigal: Very nice to see you, too!
    Eliza Madrigal: cute scarf :)
Eden Haiku: Started the recording, claimed the log. I hope it works!
    Eden Haiku: Thanks!
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, if it allowed you to claim it, it worked!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Geoff :)
Eden Haiku: Hello Geoff. Comment allez-vous?
    Geoff Baily: hi both ;)
    Geoff Baily: pas mal
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
    Geoff Baily: fttoi??
Eliza Madrigal: Mind if I lower the fountain? The command for that is /9 low, btw
    Eden Haiku:  Bien merci!
    Geoff Baily: et toi**
    Geoff Baily: de rien
Eden Haiku: Yes, please do Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: When there are a few of us I like to zoom in...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eden Haiku: Zoom in Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: camera view in SL
Eliza Madrigal: Nice blue shirt, btw Geoff... no more clergy :) hehe
Geoff Baily: its nice to do that
Eden Haiku: Oh, I was wondering if you meant zooming in your heart or something like that...
Eliza Madrigal: Oooh, No, I didn't... but that is a lovely idea Eden :)
    Geoff Baily: moved on abit
Eden Haiku: Very bright electric blue!
    Geoff Baily: a bit
Geoff Baily: you warm enough now?
Eden Haiku: I love the kum kum dot on your forehead!
    Geoff Baily: Eliza,
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks!... reminder of types of vision...
Eden Haiku: I learned only recently how not to show the cam movements in local chat ;-)
    Geoff Baily: whats that?
Eliza Madrigal: Yes Geoff :) Thanks
Eden Haiku: It is like some reminder of the third eye in Indian culture, for Hindous in particular.
    Eden Haiku: *Hindus
Eliza Madrigal: yes, or just jewelry too...
Geoff Baily: oh you think so
    Geoff Baily: quiet here now
    Eliza Madrigal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bindi_(decoration)
    Eden Haiku: Quiet morning.
Eliza Madrigal: Yes, mornings are often that way
    Eliza Madrigal: slow warm up...
Eliza Madrigal: often quite nice, actually
Geoff Baily: quiet morning quiet morning .........as we sit togethere here .............
    Geoff Baily: Becoming...........
Eden Haiku: Looks like Geoff is inspired...
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh... nice... yes
Geoff Baily: no its you both
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Eden, I appreciated the comments you left on the guardian contributions page, btw. Thank you
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
    Geoff Baily: that inspire me
    Geoff Baily: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: we inspire/spark one another... that's what its all about, eh?
Eden Haiku: Your essay on that page is marvelous. Have you read Eliza's page Geoff?
Eliza Madrigal: :) Or as another said once "we need each other's magic"
Eliza Madrigal: It was a moving experience, Eden, one that kindled a fire that continues....
Geoff Baily: yes three together is more than three apart.........
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Eden Haiku: http://playasbeing.wik.is/Guardians'_Contributions/Eliza
Geoff Baily: no I will tho
Eliza Madrigal: The links are odd...
Geoff Baily: look forward to it
    Eden Haiku: Odd?
Eliza Madrigal: What I wrote about Geoff, was experiencing "You Seeing Being Seeing"... have you attended a session where that was discussed yet?
Eden Haiku: Yes, I clicked on it and it does not show up...
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, didn't work for me... was blank. That seems to often happen.. let's try this one:
    Eliza Madrigal: http://playasbeing.wik.is/Guardians'_Contributions/Eliza/After_-_Princeton_Retreat
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, see I don't know why the whole link isn't highlighted
    --BELL--

    Snow falls and we smile.

Eliza Madrigal: It can be difficult to discuss such seemingly 'personal' things, but we have so much to know with each other :)
Geoff Baily: funny I keep missing Pema here, have read a little about YSBS
Eden Haiku: The link does not work either. It is on Guardian contribution page Geoff.
Eliza Madrigal: Pema's on Japan time for a little while... but he and Wol are having a theme session on YSBS tomorrow at the 1PM session
    Geoff Baily: will look later;)
Eden Haiku: Maybe we could try to switch from You Seeing to Being Seeing in the next 90 secs?
Eliza Madrigal: that would definitely be something to attend if you can
Eliza Madrigal: I like that idea Eden! Sure.. So you mean we'll be 'You Seeing' until then?
Geoff Baily: will try to ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: I would like to but I won't be home that time tomorrow.
    Eden Haiku: *that
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, another reason I am thankful for the logs :)
Eden Haiku: I guess so Eliza ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Geoff Baily: there is a Being Seeing??
Eliza Madrigal smiles... elaborate your question a bit Geoff?
    Eden Haiku: ;-))
Geoff Baily: R we a Beng Seeing?
    Geoff Baily: or Beings Seeing?
    Eliza Madrigal: Both?
Eliza Madrigal: Or not at all?
    Geoff Baily: neither?
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Geoff Baily: ;)
Eden Haiku: ::::::Quiet morning so quiet/::::::As we sit together here/::::::Seeing snow falling (Geoff, Eliza and Eden early Monday morning)
Eliza Madrigal: Well, Being Seeing is a lot like the 'dropping what you have to see what you are' exercize...
    Eden Haiku: Just seeing...
    Eliza Madrigal: MM, Eden.
    Geoff Baily: ;) thanks Eden
Eliza Madrigal: Eden softly writes/stirs embers opening peace/snow falls and we smile
    Geoff Baily: together
Eden Haiku: I solved the dilemma YS and BS by writing only Seeing  in the haiku. For the syllable count. Wow! I love your haiku Eliza!
    Geoff Baily: ;)
Eliza Madrigal: OOooh now I see that Eden.. glad you pointed that out
Eden Haiku: Especially: 'stirs embers opening peace'
Eliza Madrigal: you've been stirring our poetry embers for since you arrived... can't help but be inspired :)
Eliza Madrigal: strike the 'for' obviously…hah
Eden Haiku: In reality there is only one seeing isn'it?
Eliza Madrigal: Well, we cloud Seeing with seeing, perhaps... with looking for ourselves in everything...

Geoff is wondering what it must be like for a snowflake to become a pile of snow

    Geoff Baily: both and neither??
Eden Haiku: Yes, we need to unveil our own vision.
    Eliza Madrigal: Yes!
Eden Haiku: Yes, neither also Geoff, I would say,
Geoff Baily: we are nowhere and everywhere
Eliza Madrigal: The unity of relative and absolute, is something Pema and I began discussing....
    Geoff Baily: and.......?
Eliza Madrigal: So yes both.... being/Being ...
Eden Haiku: The 90 secs is coming soon.
Eliza Madrigal: thanks for the heads up, Eden!
    Geoff Baily: and Being being!
    Eliza Madrigal: YES :)
    Geoff Baily: ;)
    Eden Haiku: relative/absolute, nowhere/everywhere,… being/Being
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
    Eliza Madrigal: Expansiveness/precision
    Geoff Baily: ;) nice
Eden Haiku: Three of us and one conversation
    Eliza Madrigal: Freedom/limitation
    Geoff Baily: nowhere
    Eden Haiku: Unity/separation
    Geoff Baily: Sunrisa
    Eden Haiku: Everywhere
    Eliza Madrigal: being no being
    --BELL--
Geoff Baily: Wondering what it must be like for a snowflake to become a pile of snow??
Eden Haiku: We are like computers:0/1, on and off. You Seeing/Being Seeing...Beautiful metaphor Geoff!
    Eliza Madrigal: MMM, yes quite
    Geoff Baily: ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: dissolved
Eden Haiku: I have memories of being a two years old wanting to go outside because I thought it was snowing.
Eden Haiku: My mother was saying it was not snow. But I was adamant as a 2 year old can be.
Eden Haiku: She put me into my snow suit and on my little red skis.
Eden Haiku: And out into the mist.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: That was a harsh lesson but a good one ;-)
    Geoff Baily: oh dear
Eliza Madrigal: I think it is quite sweet
Eliza Madrigal: she let you feel/see for yourself...
    Geoff Baily: yes
Eden Haiku: I used to think she had been too harsh. But this morning, yes, I feel the sweetness of it.
Geoff Baily: and you did because you remember it so
Eliza Madrigal: she took the time to dress you up... she might have just said "no it isn't snowing"
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Storm arrives on his ice-skates and we talk about snow a bit more.

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Storm!
Eden Haiku: It is amazing how Geoff's metaphor about snowflake/pile of snow brought me back to this snowflake memory.
    Geoff Baily: good Mum
    Storm Nordwind: Hi!
Eliza Madrigal: It is Eden's first session as a guardian this morning, Storm :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, very good Mom. I miss her so...
Storm Nordwind: Yes. I wanted to be here for it :)
Geoff Baily: Hi Storm good to see you again
Eliza Madrigal: We were discussing Being Seeing a bit, and memories :)
Eden Haiku: Hi Storm! We have been appreciating the snowfalls..
Storm Nordwind: Glad you like them Eden
    Geoff Baily: so much
Eliza Madrigal: Geoff described Being seeing as a flake falling into the pile of snow :)
Storm Nordwind: I like that a lot!
    Geoff Baily: ;)
Eden Haiku: Yesterday I had a 9 secs break irrupting in RL as I was walking by the river.
Storm Nordwind: The oft-used analogy is water mixing with water
Eliza Madrigal: Mm , yes :)
Geoff Baily: a drop in the ocean
Eden Haiku: Snowflake-me became Pile-of-Snow me in a very short flash.
Eliza Madrigal: and ocean in a drop :)
Eden Haiku: I almost slipped on ice and did on my boots this movement when we break on ice-skates.
    Geoff Baily: ;)
Eden Haiku: And in a second, I was Storm's avatar on his skates!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: It was like SL world was pouring into RL world.
Eliza Madrigal smiles... yes it does that doesn't it!?!
    Eliza Madrigal: seeps
Storm Nordwind: "Pouring in" - lovely choice of words
    Geoff Baily: mingling

Then Eliza catches the RL/SL switch and the conversation shifts to boundaries as we 'nestle in a wider intelligence'.

Eliza Madrigal: Maxine at the guardian meeting used the term 'semi-permeable boundaries'
Eden Haiku: Like a break in the silk screen of reality.
Storm Nordwind: Which sounds good - if a little technical. :) I guess poetry speaks to me!
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: yes well a screen conjurs a web perhaps, which conjurs the ties and strings...
Eliza Madrigal: intricasy and expansiveness at once
Eden Haiku: 'Semi-permeable boundaries' sound like healthy boundaries. Being open yes, yet closing.
    Eliza Madrigal: ebb and flow...circulation
Storm Nordwind: I like the idea of weaving also suggested by the silkscreen
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: People like Antonin Artaud or Nijinsky were opened all-the-time. This leads to psychosis. We need to close off also. I'm talking to myself here ;-)
Geoff Baily: its like the cells of our bodies
    Eden Haiku: Yes Geoff?
Eliza Madrigal: indeed...times of retreat, times of outreaching...
Storm Nordwind: A spiritual healer also needs to know when to open and when to close themselves.
Geoff Baily: are contained by semipermeable membranes
Geoff Baily: it is the stuff we are made of
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Eden Haiku: Oh, interesting, all the cells?
Geoff Baily: separated yet joined to a whole
Storm Nordwind: Everything that is dependently related can be be likened to being semipermeable. In other words, the whole of the perceivable universe
Eliza Madrigal: so each cell has to operate on its own while also nestled in a wider intelligence...
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Geoff Baily: and there are proteins which act as little pumps
Geoff Baily: to control the entering and leavings of molecules
    Eliza Madrigal: gate keepers?
Geoff Baily: its how we work
Eden Haiku: I like 'nestled in a wider intelligence'.
Geoff Baily: yes a hot topic just now
Geoff Baily: esp the brain cells
    Eliza Madrigal: So interesting
    Geoff Baily: fun
Eliza Madrigal: And in the context of spiritual healing, which touches a topic you brought up Sunday too, Eden, Empathy
    Eden Haiku: Empathy, yes.

Storm brings up the topic of resonance which seems to resonate deeply for each one of us .

    Storm Nordwind: Empathy and resonance
Eden Haiku: Resonance is a very interesting subject.
Eden Haiku: tell us more about it Storm.
Eliza Madrigal: hmm, yes... and generosity in that context... born of 'wisdom not emotion'
    Eliza Madrigal listens
Storm Nordwind: Resonance is the one object vibrating because something else is. The energy is propagated through some intermediate medium - provided the channels are open. In spiritual healing, it is common for the healer to feel the patient's symptoms on their own body.
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: Thank you Storm. And how is resonance in biology Geoff?
Eliza Madrigal: Storm it is 'self for other' you are describing?
Storm Nordwind: I haven't heard that term Eliza
Geoff Baily: thanks Storm. Thinking about that Eden
Eliza Madrigal: hm... exchanging self for other...
Storm Nordwind: Oh I see. No I wasn't describing that. :) But I guess it is relevant!
Eden Haiku: I'm wondering if our biological cells resonate to others as well
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps Eden, but I don't know if they do directly or indirectly.
Eliza Madrigal: just thinking that one allows themselves to be so sensitive... empathetic perhaps... and that's why care is taken in spiritual practices to have gates and protections, etc... thinking aloud :)
Geoff Baily: one of the things we are just learning is that many proteins resonate
    Eliza Madrigal: Ohh
    Eden Haiku: Proteins do resonate?
Geoff Baily: they dont have 'a structure' but resonate between several
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Geoff Baily: it may be the basis of many proteins' functions
Storm Nordwind: Eliza, the needs for protection are very real. Very few people are so advanced or so much a source of energy-that-pushes-all-before-it that they can do without it.
Geoff Baily: the idea that a protein had A structure prevented these kinds of investigations being thought of as important
    Geoff Baily: Agree Storm
Eden Haiku: I had some EMDR therapy and during the long sessions (3 hours at a time) I could feel my body shifting. Like the cells resonating to the new cellular shift in the brain. I'm not sure if there is any scientific foundation but that was my experience.
Geoff Baily: very important indeed, I know from personal experience
    Eliza Madrigal: Hm... important subject/s
Geoff Baily: that protection is needed
Eliza Madrigal: really a lot to think about in terms of balance and openness

This brings us to talk about trust and a few more things…(I was trying to be serious but I made an unintended pun that I had to look up in the dictionary when I finally got what they were talking about, hours after the session ended…)

Storm Nordwind: That's where trust comes in, I think Eliza.
    Geoff Baily: yes agreed
    Eliza Madrigal: Hm, yes Trust
Eliza Madrigal: a kind of muscle in some ways?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Trust. Trust in others, trust in the flow of things, trust in oneself. 'In God we truss'?
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Geoff Baily: and trussed!!!
    Storm Nordwind: Oh!!
    Geoff Baily: strange things words......
Eden Haiku: When I lived in New York for about a year, I was amazed at the capacity of American people to trust in God. And to talk freely about it.
    Geoff Baily: *things
Eden Haiku: A very powerful word.
Storm Nordwind is a polytheist and doesn't trust gods any more than human beings
Eden Haiku: yes, but he is not American either ;-)
    Storm Nordwind smiles
    Eden Haiku: Originally I mean...
Eliza Madrigal: Wol said something really profound yesterday... that the prohibition against saying the name of god in some faiths seems a way of stating that god can't be pinned down....
Eliza Madrigal: paraphrased... but I felt quite moving.
    Eliza Madrigal: it
    Geoff Baily: ;)
Storm Nordwind: I think it's a way, Eliza, of enforcing a monotheistic viewpoint
Eden Haiku: Yes, like the Veal of Gold for Hebrews.
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Well, maybe as with a lot of things there are various ways to take it... like 'the way that can be named is not the way'... and of course people always try to package for themselves/ego
Eden Haiku: And then the Hindous have thousands of Gods and keep chanting their names...
Eliza Madrigal nods... yes, I don't have a 'belief' in god/s but I do have dieties in my life.... :)
Eden Haiku: And what about Being Seeing? Who is she? :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: open stance
    Geoff Baily: good typo!!
    Eden Haiku: Typo?
    Eden Haiku: dieties?
    Geoff Baily: dieties deities
    Eden Haiku: Die-ties. yes!
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
    Geoff Baily: ;)
    Eden Haiku: (enthusiastic applause)

Eliza and Storm leave gracefully, while Geoff and I share how much we both like PaB sessions

Eliza Madrigal: I'd better get going. It was so nice to see you all this morning, and feel free to email me if the need arises Eden. I check often!
Storm Nordwind: Sounds like someone trying to gain enlightenment by fasting!
Eden Haiku: I did not know gestures were enabled here...
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah Storm
Eden Haiku: Sure thanks for your help Eliza!
    Geoff Baily: nice bye Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: Hugs and Congrats!!
    Eden Haiku: *thanks
    Storm Nordwind will depart too
    Eden Haiku: Good bye Storm!
    Storm Nordwind: Bye!
    Storm Nordwind: Namaste
Eden Haiku: Nice seeing you this morning!
    Eden Haiku: _/|\_
    Geoff Baily: bye Storm
Eden Haiku: Storm is skating away :-)
Geoff Baily: well Eden that was interesting
Eden Haiku: With sounds! Skating sounds! Neat!
Eden Haiku: Yes, it was Geoff.
Geoff Baily: ;) so much to learn here Eden
Eden Haiku: Yes, this circle of friends is amazing. I'm so grateful for PaB. It makes SL much more interesting for me.
Eden Haiku: I was getting bored of finding new outfits :-)
Geoff Baily: I am fascinated by it
Eden Haiku: You are quite new to PaB I would think?
Geoff Baily: ;) yes more thanoutfits
Geoff Baily: two or three weeks now
Eden Haiku: Though there is fun in that part too. The other day, there were two royal Egyptians at the PaB sitting!
Eden Haiku: have you been reading the logs Geoff?
    Geoff Baily: RL royal? YES
Eden Haiku: Some times, I read them on my iPod when I wake up...
    Geoff Baily: logs r fascinating
Eden Haiku: Yes, two avatars came in pharaohs costumes. I love ancient Egypt and they both looked very beautiful!
Geoff Baily: specially ones one was in
Geoff Baily: did they speak Egyptian?
Eden Haiku: Yes, me too. Let us be honest! We like reading our own brilliant remarks don't we? :-)
Eden Haiku: No, they did not speak Egyptian. But sometimes I heard Pema speaking Japanese in the sessions...
Geoff Baily: ah now so true, and what we didn't say!!!!!!!!
Eden Haiku: Are you using the simbolic translator sometimes?
Eden Haiku: What we did not say is often the best part yes!
    Geoff Baily: never tried
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: Someone gave it to me here at PaB. I appreciate it so much. When one meets some Italian or Portuguese newbie lost somewhere, one can help!
Eden Haiku: Let me give you the land mark. You can go there and get it for free.
    Geoff Baily: true
Geoff Baily: thanks so much Eden
Geoff Baily: thanks I have it
Geoff Baily: I think I must go soon now
Eden Haiku: I understand you live in France but are from England?
    Geoff Baily: live near Bordeaux
Eden Haiku: It was nice talking with you Geoff. Very nice.
Geoff Baily: thanks so much for a fun time here. Bye for now . Yes friend!!!
Eden Haiku: Bye for now Geoff! Have a nice evening!
Eden Haiku: My bowing is not tuned...
    Eden Haiku: _/|\_
    Eden Haiku: Sweet!
    Geoff Baily: bye bye
    Eden Haiku: Bye!

Wol has been an extraordinary mentor, taking me very patiently step by step through the whole process of posting the chat. Torley Linden was my guru: now Wol is! :-)
