Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle :), Hi sophia, looking brilliant!
    sophia Placebo: :)
Riddle Sideways: good mornign, sorry am late
Eliza Madrigal: Not very, Riddle :)
    sophia Placebo: Hi Sharon
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sharon :)
Riddle Sideways: ol computer is getting started slow
Eliza Madrigal: it is probably cold :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Eliza, Sophia, Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: well, I think it knows it is getting replaced
Eliza Madrigal: ooh, yes bound to be some acting out
SophiaSharon Larnia: some heavy lag here sorry :)
Riddle Sideways: was just re-reading an email about "play"
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Widgets email?
Eliza Madrigal: the one with the website that highlights children's learning?
    Riddle Sideways: yes
SophiaSharon Larnia: playfulness as a path
Riddle Sideways: was reviewing how we "play" here and there
Riddle Sideways: do we choose play as a path
Riddle Sideways: or stumble into it
Riddle Sideways: were we playing and never grew up?
Eliza Madrigal: hm, both I guess... intentional play
SophiaSharon Larnia: playing is learning through the environment
    SophiaSharon Larnia: trying different things
SophiaSharon Larnia: play is taking something lightly in a non threatning way
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Adams :)
Eliza Madrigal: working with whatever comes up... emotion, challenges, pleasures...
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Adams :)
Riddle Sideways: perhaps if you found yourself with a simple/playful name like ridle or something
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
Riddle Sideways: might find play a very good path
    Adams Rubble: Hello everyone
    Eliza Madrigal: perhaps so
    sophia Placebo: Hi Adams
Adams Rubble: and then if one finds oneself with a name like Rubble....
    Riddle Sideways: hi adams
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eliza Madrigal: then there seems much to play with, Adams! :)
Riddle Sideways: it kind of gives justifaction to our practice
sophia Placebo: playing with words , playing with thoughts and having delight in exploring new dimensions to those and new dimensions to self
Riddle Sideways: we feel bad that so-n-so is more rightour, religious, faithful, ... [insert attribute]
Riddle Sideways: but if we are playing
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: mm, yes sophia... Here's to delight and open dimensions :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: interesting point of view i havent explored it that way
SophiaSharon Larnia: they are playing too, although they may not appreciate it being pointed out that way
SophiaSharon Larnia: are we all playing, all of the time?
Adams Rubble: Sorry to be late. who are "they"?
    Riddle Sideways: yes, yes, yes
Eliza Madrigal: and how can we play with the difficult things...
    sophia Placebo: kids :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: we play with [insert object, thought, whatever]
SophiaSharon Larnia: i was responding to Riddle statement... 'they' being 'us' really, sorry
Riddle Sideways: we play until done and go on
    Eliza Madrigal: so-n-so
SophiaSharon Larnia: sometimes i dont want to play anymore :)
Riddle Sideways: most times (when amid play) we don't know we are done play with that item, we just move on
Adams Rubble: tricky to know when it is time to move on
Riddle Sideways: (maybe) better to not 'know', just move on
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: that hind-sight thang
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes in the middle of playing there comes an obstacle or a confusion... like my friend with her paintings... to get to the letting go/done, she has to go through.. sit with the discomfort... try to turn it into something perhaps
Riddle Sideways: yes, many thinkthat is neccessary
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes she'll walk away from the canvas... even hide it for a while
    sophia Placebo: that always works
Riddle Sideways: many do that with their [insert craft, art, operation]
sophia Placebo: take it out of your attention
Riddle Sideways: to bring it out to play another day
Riddle Sideways: mom calls you in for supper
Eliza Madrigal nods... intentional forgetting and a kind of trust
Adams Rubble: hope she doesn;t dream about the paintings :)
    sophia Placebo: :)
    Riddle Sideways: why not?
Eliza Madrigal: :) She does sometimes!
sophia Placebo: that would be nightmare
Adams Rubble: then not forgetting :)
Eliza Madrigal: She wrestles with muses
Riddle Sideways: dreams seem so full of play
    Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: in my teens. I noted that sometimes I was 'playing' music and many time it was 'playing' me
sophia Placebo: g2g , see you soon
Eliza Madrigal: I guess if one took one way of playing as the path, it might not be helpful. Hiding good sometimes, facing full force others?
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye sophia :)
    Adams Rubble: bye Sophia
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Sophia
    Riddle Sideways: ok sophia
Eliza Madrigal: Riddle, do you still play music?
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: and the music stilll plays me
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Riddle Sideways: there is a chord progression that
    Riddle Sideways: opens me up
    SophiaSharon Larnia: thats lovely
Riddle Sideways: will be absently just playing it
Riddle Sideways: did not thoughtfully start it
Riddle Sideways: to know that I am being played
Adams Rubble: let your fingers do the walking
Riddle Sideways: (nice phrase) "Being Played"
    Eliza Madrigal: accessing...opening dimensions
SophiaSharon Larnia: there is music that will do that to me too, but i cant tell you what chord progreesion, just a flavor, that covers many genres
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: later we went on to (try) learn many practices
Eliza Madrigal: naturally finds a place where you are, 'more fully' in a way, sharon? Help comes from there perhaps...
SophiaSharon Larnia: brings up an emotional reaction, while all music is not like that
    Adams Rubble nods to Sharon
Adams Rubble: there is music that opens me up
SophiaSharon Larnia: can feel the heart cords being strumbed :P
Riddle Sideways: there is that 'note' that resonates on your dimension
Eliza Madrigal: "Zing went the strings of my heart..."
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles At Riddle..... yes
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Riddle Sideways: who sang "there once was a note... LISTEN"
SophiaSharon Larnia: most of the time i hear music like background at sears, then something will grab my attention and either feel uplifting and the world sparkles or like a sucker punch in the stomach
    SophiaSharon Larnia: whoope sorry
Eliza Madrigal: music as portal... and no.. so true Sharon
Riddle Sideways: there is a low low B# [insert joke] that harmonizes the world, you, Being
SophiaSharon Larnia: when i was doing a lot of chanting, the sound reverberated so strongly in my world, everything seemed to have that tone
Riddle Sideways: Being in the grocery store playing with 2 boxes of cerial when you hear [insert Beatles or Bach] and we slip away
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe not 'b' as in being, but the a low tone in particular
    SophiaSharon Larnia: lo Riddle
    Eliza Madrigal: ooooh
Eliza Madrigal: or recovering from some emotion and getting into the car only to have Bridge Over Troubled Waters come on or some such... and you think "Am I really going to do this to myself?" The answer? "YES"... so dive into the tears until they break
    SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: or we break
SophiaSharon Larnia: (didnt mean a tone named 'a' was a typo)
Riddle Sideways: there are few typos here, only fruedian slips
Eliza Madrigal: and then everything seems light and clear "Will be fine" "Turn left ahead"
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: (yea Riddle i googled it ;p)
Riddle Sideways: our adult allowed us to play with that moment?
Adams Rubble wonders about fruedian slips
    Riddle Sideways: = play
Eliza Madrigal: hm.. do slips come from the same oceanic place we hide things to work them out
Riddle Sideways: then there is that word up in the previous [insert whichever] sentence that stops us in tracks
Riddle Sideways: going off on all the meanings of that word
Adams Rubble wonders if Freud got along with Frued
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: can't imagine he would have, hah
Riddle Sideways: the way mom used to said that word
Riddle Sideways: sorry, slipped on a typo
Adams Rubble: there are no typos (giggles)
    Adams Rubble: someone ssaid that
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: ok, so we were playing with the keyboard and this [insert word] came out
Adams Rubble: and someone (looks around) did an improvisation oh the [insert word] :)
Eliza Madrigal: then was it the keyboard or the word playing?
Eliza Madrigal: surely not the we
    SophiaSharon Larnia: brb
Riddle Sideways: at what point did you stop hunting each letter of your keyboard and start letting your dingers just play it
Riddle Sideways: you went on to thinking about what should be typed
Riddle Sideways: and let the fingers play for you
Eliza Madrigal: 7th grade... for a test. The teacher forced me to take the leap and stop looking! :)
Riddle Sideways: the you looked back at the screen and said my [insert deity] who wrote this ... ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: never took typing, i would flunk!
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Riddle Sideways: then*
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: I always look
Riddle Sideways: after 'man the tool maker' made the tool, the fools play with it
Riddle Sideways: made a perfectly good garbage can. Some fool turned it over and banged with a string
SophiaSharon Larnia: did the tool exist before man the tool maker made it, or did the tool play the man so it was made
    Riddle Sideways: made beautiful music
    SophiaSharon Larnia loves stomp :)
Eliza Madrigal: ... little taps on the bottoms of shoes
Riddle Sideways: ahhhh, the deep question SS
Eliza Madrigal wonders about [insert deity]... seems very playful... upturning our plans and ideas at will.. heheh
SophiaSharon Larnia: have yoy heard of stomp? its awesome, there are many similar group
    SophiaSharon Larnia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu15Ou-jKM0
Riddle Sideways: was the painting already there or was the fool just wipingdirty hands on towel
Riddle Sideways: Stomp is great... [insert deity] is great... play is great
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: I've seen bits of Stomp... so much energy
SophiaSharon Larnia: i saw them in lancaster, pa
SophiaSharon Larnia: wanted to jump onstage and bang something
Riddle Sideways: saw the play / performance year ago
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
SophiaSharon Larnia: for a while i saw the world and people and all the interactions in it as one group stomp
    SophiaSharon Larnia: one play
Riddle Sideways: ther is the one note
Riddle Sideways: and the playing of that note
Riddle Sideways: and the banging of the pots and pans
    SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
Riddle Sideways: the variations on a theme
Eliza Madrigal: crashing and leaping and throwing... anything to waken
