The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal, who has posted most goodbyes from the earlier time session, at the bottom of the log.

In this session Sharon, Eden, Zen, Bruce and I stayed in aimless space around the circle, reflecting & chatting & singing about "the beauty of doing nothing" ... also Eden's lovely chanting voice. We welcomed Aphrodite in as our newest guardian. :) Then, Lucinda arrived...

Lucinda allowed us to share in her sorrow over the sudden loss of a Beloved Teacher and Friend, George Shangrow, whose daughter will be playing Bach on cello at his services this coming weekend...

    Ewan Bonham: Thank you all...
    SophiaSharon Larnia: eep Agatha
Eliza Madrigal runs around opening windows... freshens coffee...

    Eliza Madrigal: amazing

Eliza Madrigal: Hm, now look at our strange arrangement
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: yet an interesting, not uneven pattern...
    Eliza Madrigal: in its way

     time session 8-20_002.jpg--BELL--
Eden Haiku: The Sikhs people think that 5 disciples sitting together have some Truth power of some sort.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: Oh?
Eliza Madrigal: OH, have never heard that....
    Zen Arado: me neither
Eden Haiku: Read that in a Georges Perec's novel called "Life, the how to book"..."La vie, mode d'emploi" in French.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :))
Zen Arado: pentagramme is something devilish?
SophiaSharon Larnia: I want to look, but I've been crashing a lot
Eden Haiku: So I'm not too sure if it is in the Sikh religion really or just made up by the novelist...but I would think it might be something true.
Eliza Madrigal: 'three or more are gathered' sometimes comes to mind when we are discussing tripartite structures...
Eden Haiku: Let me search the web...
Eliza Madrigal: I would think he heard it from a friend...
Eliza Madrigal: so prob true.. in the way stories are handed down... little tricks and such
    Zen Arado: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentagram
SophiaSharon Larnia: makes sense, 3 for discussion, two more for balance, or something like that
Zen Arado: in Christianity it is said 'where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name....'
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods, that was my first thought, but I forgot the wording
Zen Arado: in other words that only is what is required
Eden Haiku: Yes, they have a few thing that come in five prayers, the 5 'Ks" The Five Ks, or panj kakaar/kakke, are five articles of faith that all baptized Sikhs (also called Khalsa Sikhs) are typically obliged to wear at all times"
Eliza Madrigal: In Buddhism as well, many things framed in terms of fives...
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wb Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: TY!
Zen Arado: I find larger groups more difficult to participate in in pab
Eliza Madrigal: poisons, obscurations, buddha families....
    SophiaSharon Larnia: lol
Eden Haiku: "three or more are gathered" (in my name is it), a Christian saying?
    Zen Arado: wb Bruce
    Eliza Madrigal: yes Eden
SophiaSharon Larnia: you altered our configuration we had here ^^
Eliza Madrigal: "if two or more are gathered' actually...
Eden Haiku: HI BRuce , good morning.
Eliza Madrigal: 'there am I in the midst'
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
    Zen Arado: ah yes Eliza
    Eden Haiku: Ah yes...
Eden Haiku: So now we are six...:))
    SophiaSharon Larnia: giggles
    Zen Arado: seven

Eliza Madrigal: but it is nice that the book allows my mom and I to discuss meditation a bit :)
Aphrodite Macbain: I will try and stop this translato once It rezzes
Eden Haiku: Wanted to go see it in our little movie house 20 miles from here but it was only in English so my boyfriend didn't want to come :(
SophiaSharon Larnia: wouldnt it be interesting if we could have a screen in sl and watch it together?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: haha Eden
Eliza Madrigal: ah, price for having a french boyfriend Eden... but I guess there are rewards too...
Eden Haiku: Yes! In Viewer 2 maybe?
    Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
Eliza Madrigal is feeling silly after such a wonderful but sensitive morning time session
Eden Haiku: Well, he's French-Canadian too but he resisted English and learnt Spanish instead. He's fluent in Spanish, not in English.

    Girly things...

Zen Arado: would that be interesting for a man - the book I mean?
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, I do knpw a site that you can watch movies that are int he theater, on your computer, it says it is legal, but I dont know if it be shown even in viewer 2.0
SophiaSharon Larnia: can be* (and other typos)
Eden Haiku: Oh yes Zen, it,s a great book!
Zen Arado: quite cheap on Kindle too
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Not sure if the film would be interesting for a man.. unless he wanted to learn a lot about women...
    Zen Arado: $4.30 only
    SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
Zen Arado: I still have a lot to learn
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you Lucinda, all well?
SophiaSharon Larnia feels lost without her radar

    Lucinda Lavender: yes..
    Eden Haiku: Hi Lucinda :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Luci.
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I've not read anything else she's written Eden....
Eliza Madrigal: but she's quite good at capturing those 'looking at yourself in the mirror' moments
Eden Haiku: It's based on the true story of Ernest Conway who was a kind of hermit (a bit like our Bruce but not as kind ;)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: :0
Lucinda Lavender: oops cannot type yet...

    SophiaSharon Larnia: ;-P
    Aphrodite Macbain: too?
    Eliza Madrigal: ::gasp::; emotional? girly?
Eden Haiku: The name is Eustace Conway rather (in "The Last american Man")
Bruce Mowbray muses: Hermits learn to be kind to others by practicing at home.
Zen Arado: girly was the word I was looking for :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs @ both
    Eliza Madrigal: Nice, Bruce, Yes!
Eden Haiku: It will be good for Jan Zen!

    Lucinda Lavender: listening...
Eden Haiku: By the way Eliza, I loved the Cindy Crawford joke about wearing loose clothes in the first version of your Time report :)

    Eliza Madrigal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z15yTKSn4fA

    Eliza Madrigal: Joni!
Eliza Madrigal: haha, thank you Eden. I took it down thinking it was a bit silly....
Zen Arado: not quite sure what 'girly' means though
Eliza Madrigal: but I do think about that a lot
Eliza Madrigal: and also, I wrote my first report too quickly
Eliza Madrigal: I did the exercize and then days later it really hit me

    Eden Haiku: blushing
    Eliza Madrigal: heheh
Eliza Madrigal: he's right though, Eden's voice IS lovely
Eliza Madrigal: she is a painter too.. (Joni)
Zen Arado: imagines Eden singing ' Non, rien de rien...)
Eden Haiku: Just trained by singing mantras, nothing else. Same ashram as Elisabeth Gilbert by the way :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah!
Aphrodite Macbain: wonder if we could all become a chorus of girly and manly voices
SophiaSharon Larnia: I hear the logs that way sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: yes and we could experiment in true SL style with girls singing low and men singing high
Eden Haiku: Do you use voice sometimes Bruce?
    SophiaSharon Larnia: giggles @ Eliza
Bruce Mowbray: sorry, I'm not able to do voice because of my slow Internet connection at the farm.
Zen Arado: I like singing but haven't got a good voice
Aphrodite Macbain wonders what we would all sing together
