Managed to sit still physically and mentally for 9 minutes, but nearly fell asleep doing it. This is clearly not an ideal time of day for me, the line between meditating and dozing gets blurred. Watched my breathing for a few minutes, then did a kind of statik sally: I went back to the verandah of Sunshine House on the silent day, and watched the play of sunlight on the lawn until the timer went.
:) Hope it is okay to begin commenting... have chosen for the 99 days 'sitting meditation before bed' which I've always found difficult to do but also rewarding. It went OK last night, not long but satisfying, firefly thoughts here and there.
