Meditation first thing in the morning (after sleeping late).
Keep on noticing "non-meditative" actions of the mind, such as waiting until it's over, or planning my breakfast. Try to stay gentle, notice that and not get stuck in it, and then back to the exercise.
I've been thinking long and long about the vibrant discussion at the Ways of Knowing group yesterday (which I, unfortunately, could not attend due to ISP coma):

Amid the complexities and chaos of life, our very experience is enoughness with legs. A poem by David Whyte:
Enough. These few words are enough.
If not these words, this breath.
If not this breath, this sitting here.
This opening to the life
I have refused
again and again
until now.
Until now. edited 15:57, 8 Oct 2011
After reading Bruce's entry yesterday, I decided to look at my own habit of "choosing, furnishing, justifying, and lugging my own prisons around", an evocative expression! I didn't have to search for long. Judgments of various kinds popped up, and I saw how they had indeed the tendency to limit my own freedom. There was nothing wrong with the judgments per se, the problem lay in reifying, in taking them too seriously (furnishing and lugging them around :-).

Sprawled on my chest like a
living blanket
who thinks to absorb it all
Deep stream and little fire
then pile on
Meditation and Tong len
