Appreciating the pleasure of small tasks... making of the coffee, making of a page, the walk to school full to overflowing with awarenesses of various distinction (how many fresh, tiny leaves on the willows today!). Slowing into everything. Without time facing the wall the film of days events feels to lack this pleasure, this tactile satisfaction, and can feel all clumped together. edited 12:39, 14 Oct 2011
It's amazing how hard it can be to stop what you're doing for ten minutes. But that is, or can be, part of the meditation as well: see the resistance, do not judge it or rationalize it, not try to make it go away - but do not act on it either. Just see it. And then start the meditation anyway.
Hot local blues music on the radio while driving
Listen every so often dropping and opening and letting go
Try it - amazing the intensity the vivid the space
After taking Storm's "Color Test" and scoring very well on it, used today's recliner sit to relish, gratefully, the subtle nuances of hues in my living room.
I was very much impressed with Wester's clear analysis, yesterday, of how to start a new form of practice. Much as wu-wei, not-doing, is admirable as a goal, starting something new often does require some form of doing, in order to get going; and once we're underway, we can gradually loosen the reign on ourselves, watching, allowing, which makes it easier to watch more accurately, which in turn makes it easier to really allow more openly, and so on. Thank you, Wester!
Felt happy before sleeping. Rested in my body. Woke to grace and delight. Grateful... all through. Orange sidelong glow.. grasses swayed by fresh winds.. wet corners of eyes.. grounded and connected. Glad for life. Extends hands.. releases spirit birds on the sky.
Connecting hand and eye at a point of a pencil.

Enjoying the sensuous pleasure
