In the morning I often have some time between bringing the children to school and going off to work. If I don't turn on the computer, I can use that for meditating. I did that this morning.
Set the alarm for 10 mins, did 3 prostrations, standing meditation until the alarm went off, 3 more prostrations.
Still easing into the practice. Finding it easier to bring my mind back when it's wandering. I also found that I spontaneously remembered doing 9-second pauses during the rest of the day, which I normally don't. edited 08:24, 30 Aug 2011
Capturing those 'in between the to school and the work/computer' moments... so worthwhile @Wester. Last night I layed in bed and breathed/counted, but not in way generally intended.
Aspiration made toward final waking moments. Exhaustion competes with will to really mean it, as well as with focus altogether. Morning: Several minutes of thinking and looking around and feeling, before coming to aspiration. Body is getting chance to express its story. Dying.. slowly. Never thought to thank this body for all that has run smoothly. And that's a lot. So.. did.
I wondered whether to join this project. I do have a book to write and it is an important undertaking that will take many months effort. However, I am told as follows:
"Seeking a fire is not needed when you already hold a burning torch! Look at what you already have before you search for it elsewhere. Turn out your pockets and you will find your treasure!"
So it appears the fire of motivation is already lit under me! But I am grateful and deeply respectful of the 99 day idea, and I wish you friends and gentlefolk all the success that you wish for it and from it.
Read each of your comments from -9 to -2. Tried to stay connected with each author. Tried to stay connected with each reader that also passed through each.
Thank you.

Namaste.
Thank you.
