Meditated after bringing the kids to school. Standing meditation.
It's definitely easier to start meditation when I do it before I do anything that can be postponed (such as eating breakfast).
When I really get into the standing meditation my arms start to drift up. It's tempting to try to make them go somewhere, but I think it's better to allow them to do what they want. So today I was just flapping my wings to the rhythm of my breath.
My 84th day is only 10 hours long: I crossed the international date line, so even though the sun did not go down, I did my "morning sit" in my airplane seat, somewhere above Alaska, while my neighbors around me where each in their own world (either watching their own dreams sleeping or watching the dreams of others on their tv screens). All in all a remarkably peaceful meditative space to practice in. And just now I read about the well behaved monkeys, cats and angels, as echoed by Wol, Eden, Eos, Sam, and Aphrodite edited 12:43, 24 Nov 2011
I hope Eden gets out of the labyrinth, Luci gets her pink diamond, Pema lands safely in the sunshine and Wester begins to fly. edited 20:18, 24 Nov 2011
Getting the body into position.. lining up.. an ordeal.. until just letting go and being. Relaxation and reception before sleep. Rays of veri subtle love upon waking. Thankful for the swollen heads of grain.. the bounty of the season.
