Eliza Madrigal: you haven't been commenting on your 99 days project... all OK?
Wol Euler: ach, eliza, my god
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Wol Euler: I've missed three days
Wol Euler: too disspirited, too tired
Eliza Madrigal: yes :(
Wol Euler: failed at the first hurdle
Eliza Madrigal: no such thing as failure in these things
Wol Euler: yeah, I know that *logically* :)
Eliza Madrigal: no logic in these things either
Wol Euler: so get up, dust off, remount and ride again
Eliza Madrigal: heheh

Sat this morning for six minutes. Commencing reboot.
Wow, what an exchange. Thank you both, equally, Wol and Eliza, for showing us what real practice is. Not idealized trying-to-be-perfect practice, but real here-in-this-world in-this-life practice. And I love the notion that practice is continuing reboot. The best take-home message I've read in a very long time.

Yay! Six important minutes! So glad, Wol. :))) It is entirely selfish anyway, since I like to see Wol's comments here. /me smiles. A favorite thing about PaB (at least this moment) is that we're not competing in the meditation olympics or anything, trying to be super saints. As Eos said in a session last week, we must be kind to our constantly failing shleppy selves. haha
Yesterday I had a longer practice session than in a while, earlier in the day and I didn't mean for it to replace the evening practice but it seems that happened, aside from breaths practice. edited 11:36, 15 Sep 2011
Found 10 minutes this morning before going to work.
Finding time (and awareness!) to write something about it sometimes seems as much effort as doing the actual mediation. Still, to get into the right habit, I'm sure I need the logging as much as the meditation itself.
