Meditated in the morning. Standing meditation.

It's best not to start anything without a a definite end before meditating. So turning on the computer before meditating, even if just to check e-mail, is not a good idea.

this morning, right from the beginning, I just sat, trying to softly see everything in its space/emptiness aspect, no matter what kind of distractions came up. In terms of the previous days, I went immediately to step 4. Sometimes it is nice to take several steps, toward settling more in our natural state, and sometimes it feels right to just go there and sit.
So nice to read yesterdays reports, and so to stand with Steve, walk with Eos, breathe with Eliza, struggle with Bert, engage with Lucinda, sing with Eden, try with Aphrodite, rest with Wol, watch with O, and jump with Wester. :-) edited 01:11, 29 Nov 2011

Deeply stopping. It was so apparent in parts of this day, the way environment plays into mindsets at work. Concerns in one area spilling into other areas unrelated, and of course everything is related in one way, but in another way it is too easy to miss almost everything by looking through glasses fit for a different and specific occasion. Puzzles of honoring others, respecting moments, Huge giftings in simple packages of friendship, accomodations of clumsinesses, jubilations, lettings go.

Sharing before bed. Sharing upon waking. Recognising fears, yet returning to the moment. Clarity, honesty, fairness, appreciation.. presented the body of the day. Somehow the morning dew lasted all the way through.

may feet hold us...walk us...lungs breathe us, thoughts encourage us, hearts engage us... voices unify us... spirits inspire us, bodies settle us...eyes enlighten us...and muscles extend our current placement in the universe:)

Took a page from Eliza's book and tried to count my breaths
Never got further than 35 before my thoughts took over
    But I'll try again.

My mother turned 88 as well. She said that if you turn 88 sideways you get a double eternity.

A short unfocused meditation at an apparently inopportune time.
