    99

    December 9, 2011

This is the final day of the first 99 Days session. There will be a pause of nine (of course) days, before we begin the second cycle on December 19. I will be posting the countdown (-9, -8 ...) as before, feel free to continue with your practice - or begin a new one, or contemplate your contemplations - during the interval.

I second Stevenaia: Thank you, Wol! This morning I did my half hour sitting wrapped in blankets in an unheated attic in the East of Holland, after being sorely tempted to continue sleeping underneath the blankets instead. (^_^) However, if I had stayed under, rather than in, those blankets, I would have had to report here that I had interrupted my now one-month-long regular morning sits, so . . . sitting I did, happily following the play of Time in Space, by watching all that arose, from within the comfort of my igloo-like blanket pile. edited 16:35, 9 Dec 2011

I agree with the above: thank you Wol! This has been extremely helpful to me. I have tried to find some kind of meditation routine for ages, and starting it up like this really seems to work.

Meditation in the evening. Finding time to meditate was complicated by my son catching a bug which prevented him from going to school, but not from being very awake and lively. So meditation was postponed until he was in bed again, by which time all the usual hurdles to starting were there.

Standing meditation. Lots of thoughts coming for a visit. I took a few more minutes after the ten-minute bell because I felt I hadn't properly meditated enough yet.

#occupylove, angles of humanity... those babies born into a world showing more and more an engaged spontaneous. May they encounter millions of mothering expressions, with the devoted face of their own. ((((((((Eos)))))))) How heartbreaking.

Thank you Wol, for carving out this space for us in which to share so deeply.

((((((((( Watched Occupy Montreal video - so cheerful.
Such a privilege (thnx Wol! thnx all!) for occupying a little bit of practice space each day, learning to occupy ourselves, and to be occupied with and by others. A little gap - the day - a little gap - the night, the dreamtime - and again. Time being together. )))))))))

Can't think what to say that would be as nice or real as what you all have said, however thanks Wol and everybody, for being with each other, with me, every night, every morning, every day, body and mind, and not just in these 99 days, but for the last year.

I went for a walk today, just letting the felt sense of this chapter inhabit where it might. Laughter, tears, talking to myself, silences, footsteps, weather.. moon. edited 06:07, 10 Dec 2011

Nice meditation online tonight with Cal, Paradise and Bertrum.
    Listening to the thoughts
that have appeared through the 99...it was like entering into a tunnel. Hwy 99.
    Today noticing timestamps, they disappear
    but holding on to stories.

Namasté my dears, and thank you all so much for making this happen. All I did was to say "let's have a feast", it was your contributions that laid the table and made the dinner and poured the wine :)
