There is an old saying in tai chi that says, “The first 10,000 times don’t count”,
Wol, I think 99 days is just a start

    Meditated in the morning.

Noticed I was waiting for the meditation to end. Then noticed I was telling myself not to. Then relaxed again.

Recliner sit: Pondering why "impermanence" threatens many but comforts me.

Put something into the oven, then using the timer to set meditation too... brought up a consideration of balances and checks. The change of season affects the wall at this time of day, with light and shadows playing off one another. Allowing, effortlessness, yet situatedness too in a spot carved for the occasion.

Yesterday Stevenaia mentioned sleeping long nights in the dark and (relative) cold, and Eliza mentioned "a sense of free range time". I also slept quite a bit longer than usual, the last few nights. Presumably, before electric light, most people slept at least 8 hours and probably a lot more. Whenever I sleep more than 8 hours for a couple nights or longer, I enjoy the waking periods half-way the night. They have a different feel to them than the sitting-on-a-cushion practice, more openended and relaxed. edited 00:18, 2 Nov 2011

had Tai Chi class tonight, nice to refresh the last move you thought you remembered for the past two weeks and realized it's much harder and more complex than you ever imagined.... yet, over time, it will be part of a nice routine, like all the other complex moves that are now routine :)
