Meditated in the morning. Standing meditation, without opening prostrations, just to remember what that was like. I did do one closing prostration, because that felt right.
Note to self: Starting anything with no definite end time before meditation is not a good idea.
My arms were trembling, so I experimented a bit with them. Allowing them to flap a bit to the rhythm of my breath helped a bit (inflate an imaginary ball in my armpit on the in-breath), but my upper arms got tired. A sure sign that I am doing too much. So I let them be even more. The trembling moved inside: the arms weren't moving anymore but they still felt shaky. Let be, let be. edited 09:30, 29 Nov 2011
Tai Chi beginning my day. How grateful I am for a body that moves me through space in such a graceful fashion. How focussed I can get in the repetetive shifting of balance- from one foot to the other and back a gain. edited 22:30, 29 Nov 2011
Very peaceful sit this morning, half an hour, having now done this for more than three weeks each day. This kind of settling, how to describe it? Letting natural gravity arrange things, like snow falling gently and accumulating in graceful curves without any design.
Smiling about Aph's mother's double infinity. :-)
Class tonight, meditation in a room of 12, nice warm ambiance, teacher directed us to focus on the sound of the heavy rain hitting surfaces around us outside. Class focused on a Kung Fu form in addition to out Tai Chi. Kung Fu can be rather "energetic". Glad this isn't a Kung Fu class :)
