Nearly missed a day! Slept in, barely made it to PaB on time for my session, so didn't get around to sitting until early evening. Very restive, mind chattering away like a forest full of squirrels.
My resolution is to do at least 10 minutes of body-centered meditative practice every day. That is, Chi Kung (standing practice), T'ai Chi, and/or prostrations.
Sitting or lie-down mediation do not count. T'ai chi lessons, when they start again, will count for that day. I will experiment with the optimum time of day.
Today I did eight minutes of standing meditation, followed by a few prostrations. It was pretty hard to start doing it (so what's new?) but it felt good to feel by body and mind settle into a more natural posture.
Thank you for setting this up. I needed it. edited 20:37, 27 Aug 2011
Got into bed really tired, sat up. Annoyed by constant loud hum coming from neighbor's house - must speak with him. Air has tropical storm sinking feeling. So does my mind :-)
